No David Diaz wasn't stripped, he still is the WBC lightweight champion. This is one of those fights boxers take to look impressive enough to attract big name fighters. He is actually in talks to fight Manny Pacquiao later this year.

Round 1 = Both men start out feeling each other out with there jabs, Diaz swinging wild and missing, good left hook by Montano, good left hook in return by Diaz, another nice left hook by Montano out of the corner, both men exchange punches even exchange there. Diaz throwing right left combo but misses, good body shots by Montano they clinch, another clinch both men getting dirty on the inside with forearms, another clinch, nice right hook out of the clinch by Diaz. Good body shot at the bell by Montano.

Close round not much to choose between them i'll give that round to Montano based on cleaner punching.

10-9 Montano.

Round 2 = Montano starts out landed two good shot chopping hooks, Diaz with an uppercut to the body, Montano comes back with body and head shots. Diaz's punches are sloppy, good body shot by Montano, followed by another short chopping right hook. jab jab body shot, by Montano. Two body shots followed by head shot from Diaz. Good uppercut by Diaz but Montano is firing back. Good exchange on the inside by both men. Two good hooks by Montano. Montano is out punching Diaz at the moment on the inside. Good right hand to the temple by Diaz, but Montano fires back with a body shot. They clinch at the bell.

Close round i'll give that one to Diaz.

Nice right hand over the top by Diaz, body and head shots from Diaz, but he is swinging too much. Right hooks, uppercuts, from Diaz, Good uppercut from Montano. woah good right hook from Montano Diaz walked into that one, and a solid left hook at the bell by Montano.

29-28 Montano.

Diaz may be limited but You can not knock him for laying it all out there.Do ya think he likes fries with his punches.

Nothing really landing at the moment, good exchange of body shots from both men, woah good left hook, right hook, from Diaz, Montano firing back but not much steam on his punches. Round 5 = Diaz comes out banging with punches from all angles, they clinch. Diaz is wearing down Montano and Montano is losing a lot of steam on his punches. Good Left hook from Diaz, solid body shot from Diaz on the inside. Good solid work from Diaz on the inside. Now he is shortening his hooks and he is having much better success, Montano not doing anything at the moment he seems to be badly fading, nice uppercut from Diaz good solid hooks from Diaz, Good right hook from Montano but no real steam on Montano's punches. Diaz throwing short little chopping hooks on the inside and wearing down Montano. Right hook at the bell from Diaz.

48-47 Diaz.

Round 6 = Diaz starts out with a right hook over the top, Diaz lands another two solid shots right down the pipe that backs Montano onto the ropes. Diaz has Montano on the ropes and works his body. Montano escapes and trys to measure Diaz with the jab but his punches are like feathers now, no power on Montano's punches what so ever. Diaz has Montano on the ropes again and works his body and head, nice uppercut from Diaz and another and another. Good right hook from Diaz, Montano tries to fight off the ropes but his punches are having no effect on Diaz. Good uppercut from Diaz followed by right hook over the top. Diaz trying to set Montano up for a left hook, nothing happening at the bell.

58-56 Diaz.

Diaz outworking and out punching Montano and clearly winning the fight now. Montano's punches have lost a lot of steam.

Round 7 = Diaz starts out throwing big bombs to the body and head. Montano actually landing good body shots of his own now. Diaz trying to pin Montano on the ropes Diaz landing a left and right hook. Diaz firing shots from all angles and Montano is getting a bit of a pasting on the ropes, he needs to get off them ropes right now. Diaz backs up for a moment and allows Montano to get off the ropes. Good inside work from Diaz body shots and uppercuts. Not much in return from Montano. Solid right hook buckled Montano's knees for a second. But Montano is firing back but gets out punched by Diaz on the inside. Diaz charges at Montano and pins him on the ropes good exchange by both men at the bell.

68-65 Diaz.

The way Montano leans forward and caught Im surprised Hes not getting rocked more.Nice exchange at rounds end. # 8 is Milf sort.

Round 8 = Both men come out throwing punches, nothing landing though. Diaz tries to spin Montano a round and a land a left hook but fails. Both men working on the inside but Diaz clearly getting the better of it with uppercuts to the body and head. Solid right jab from Diaz rocked Montano's head back. Both men exchange but its same story Diaz getting the better of it. Montano amazingly has Diaz on the ropes and is landing good shots Diaz fires back off the ropes but Montano is holding his own. They clinch, solid left hook by Diaz followed by a body shot, another right hook. Combination from Diaz makes Montano back up, but Montano is brave and keeps firing back at the bell.

78-74 Diaz.

Marquez just arrived and looks happy and confident.

Round 9 = Both men start out by jabbing, two good body shots from Montano. Diaz swinging a bit too wildly he needs to shorten his punches. Diaz pins Montano on the ropes and lands good shots to the body and head. Good hooks from Diaz, uppercut, right hook, combo from Diaz. Another uppercut from Diaz followed by solid right hook, Diaz moving his head quite well making Montano miss. Diaz pins Montano on the ropes again. Montano gets off the ropes by gets hammered with a right hook. Montano looks hurt to me but he is brave and gets truing to comeback. Diaz with good hooks on the inside, solid right hook, uppercut combo from Diaz. Montano lands solid right hook. WOAH good left hook, right hook, combo by Diaz makes Montano's head go all over the place at the bell.

88-83 Diaz.

10th round = Diaz comes out swinging looking to finish Montano, Diaz pins Montano on the ropes but doesn't land anything effective. Montano is in the corner but manages to escape. Diaz pins Montano on the ropes and starts unloading good hooks. Uppercut from Diaz, two good body shots from Diaz. Montano firing back bravely but he is out gunned, Solid right hook from Diaz rocks Montano's head back. Diaz pins Montano on the ropes and starts unloading hooks and uppercuts. Someone just threw something into ring not sure what is was but Cortez threw it back out again. Anyway Diaz still landing good shots on the inside but Montano is tough and is holding his ground. Good exchange at the bell from both men.

That might of been Montano's gum shield come out Cortez put his mouth piece back in. But i was sure someone threw something into the ring or maybe i was just imaging it, anyway.

98-92 Diaz clear cut win.

I had Diaz by knock out as my joker. Fucking punk.

Wow Diaz only won by Majority decision ?? quite shocked at that. IMO Montano had his moments in the early going but after about the 4th round it was all Diaz IMO.

No problem. I think either Marquez or Pacquiao would beat Diaz also. But I think for the fight to materialize Diaz needs to win more than Pac. I mean Pac is like Oscar de la Hoya, everybody wants to fight him because they know it will entail a huge payday. Even if Marquez wins tonight, he won't be the draw that Pacquiao would be.

Mares up next looking forward to seeing Mares in against his first real tough opponent. Mares is one of the best prospects out there IMO should be a good scrap.

Just see Marquez and Pacquiao both still looking relaxed and confident.

Round 1 = Here we go both fighters touch gloves and Gabi is landing good to the body already, Gabi with a 3 punch combo on the inside. Gabi starting out very fast, good right hook from Gabi. Mares trying to counter punch and lands solid right hand right down the pipe. Good exchange from both men Gabi with slight advantage in those exchanges though. Another good body shot from Gabi. Solid right hook from Gabi, AND ANOTHER RIGHT HOOK FROM GABI BUT WOAH MARES COMES BACK AND STAGGERS GABI, GABI IS BADLY HURT MARES GOES IN FOR THE KILL BUT GABI FIRES BACK AND LANDS GOOD BODY SHOTS. MARES DOESN'T REALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION AND GABI SURVIVES.

Round 2 = DOWN GOES GABI ON A SOLID STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND RIGHT AT THE START OF THE ROUND, GABI GETS UP BUT ON WOBBLY LEGS, GABI TRIES TO FIRE BACK BOTH MEN EXCHANGING BRUTAL PUNCHES BUT GABI IS STILL BADLY HURT GABI STAGGERS OVER THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING AND GOES DOWN AGAIN, GABI GETS UP BUT HE IS BADLY SHAKEN, THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT AND MARES WINS BY DEVASTATING TKO.

Round 1 = Here we go round 1 Steven starts out landing a solid right jab, both men feeling each other out, Luevano landing good solid right jabs, Jandaeng trying to force the action and get by Steven's jab but no real success so far. Not much happening Steven still using right jab but he just staggered Terdsak with a solid left hook, but Woah that must of woke up Terdsak because he just comeback with solid shots to the body and head. Terdsak getting a bit cocky dropping his hands, but he lands solid right hook as he charged in. Steven still using the right jab to good effect, Terdsak is a bit too wild with his punches.

10-9 Luevano,

Nice to see "Grandpa" Garcia heading a corner

Round 2 = Another cautious start Luevano picking off Terdsak as he is wildly coming in. Luevano still using right jab to good effect, they clinch. Luevano with another solid right Jab, Terdsak lands a quick right hook to the cheek, but Luevano comes back with body and head shots, Luevano still picking off Terdsak from the outside. Terdsak tries to land a left hook over the top but fails. Luevano still using right jab and keeping Terdsak at bay. Another solid jab from Luevano, they clinch. Wild misses from Terdsak, Luevano attempts a straight left hand but Misses, Terdsak misses with wild punches, Solid jab from Luevano at the bell.

20-18 Luevano.

Terdsak has a cut on his right eye i believe.

Round 3 = Luevano still using his right jab to good effect, good left hook by Luevano he caught Terdsak wildly coming in then. Terdsak is having big problems trying to get past that jab and getting on the inside. Luevano lands jab, jab, hook, uppercut, combo. They clinch, Terdsak trying to jab but having no success, Luevano still using a good solid right jab and keeps Terdsak off balance and frustrated. Good body shot from Terdsak, but Luevano lands two solid jabs as Terdsak is coming in, Terdsak trying to work on the inside. But Luevano clinches and stops his attack, solid jabs from Luevano, and one more solid jab at the bell.
