Whitefield is weary of Vargas but moving his arse off.Should sit down off angel in spots...then back to boxing.Love the reach but he's not using it to fullest.....awesome jab to build off of.
Wow,Echols back in the ring already ??
Internet went down but back. Missed 5th and 6th I guess I missed Anthony Peterson.
Quillin - Echols is a MUST WATCH.
Oh shit, you know what I just realized? Teddy has his Madden pen back, NOOOOOOOO!!!!
I don't like Whitfield standing in front, even if he's jabbing. I think he should circle and jab like he has been and then occasionally set and throw punches after the jab but when he moves forward with it, he's moving straight back afterwards and to dodge and that's why he's getting hit with these wide left hooks. Also, he needs to pull the jab earlier from a farther distance becaause he's letting Vargas in close.
Good fight, very game was Vargas. A bit left to be desired from Whitfield but I think he took it.
Whitfield made it way a little to close but has many tools.Vargas went ALL out late....hope to see him around.Whitfield needs to maximize height...Catches too many left hooks
Wow, Are you catching this Aaron Fike pro circuit driver hooked on Heroin and pills piece ?
Was a decent fight, I was hoping Chango pulled it off. He lost because Whitfield threw so many jabs, even if they were getting blocked alot.
Whitfield's got some issues IMO
I'll give him this, he's improved a lot over the last time I saw him on ESPN, a lot tighter with his punches.
But he's pretty one dimensional, he really is only effective with his feet planted at range throwing the jab and the right hand. When he moves he moves backwards or to the side and he pretty much just moves, he doesn't stick and move much and when he does its pretty ineffective, he just pushes out weak punches. No inside game either and not much bodywork. I wasn't really scoring it but I thought he just got by, 117-111 was a bit homerish.
