Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
These two came to fight :o I don't think Dawson is going to last, he's fine when moving but he can't move all 12 rounds. This is a good fight!

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Dawson needs to pick his right up or circle out or something because Johnson is jabbing right over that right, and feeding left hooks on the inside. Johnson is picking off almost all of Dawson's punches too.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
A couple of very good rounds, interesting. Johnson needs to start pumping his jab back into the mix and not follow Johnson around the ring.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Another close one Dawson could have taken it but I had it even.
-
Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Gave these last 3 to Dawson. Johnson let him off the hook inside, he's focusing to much on the right hand, he should let the left hook go inside.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
When Glenn Johnson fought Montel Griffin, the turning point in the fight was a huge body shot that sucked the life out of Griffin and turned the fight on it's head. Early on that round Johnson scored a big right hand to the gut and Dawson began to set his feet and not move.
Let's see if that carries.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header

Starting to think Johnson needs the bingo punch and a KO, or at least some knockdowns. Right hook up top, then a body shot from Johnson. Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Johnson big time, now hes gonna get it.
-
Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Dawson only has himself to blame. He's careless.
Hell of a shot though, he's got a pretty solid chin to take it really

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
I've got Dawson by points as my joker pick so I'm really biting my nails here
-
Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Great fight here.
Dawson doesn't have those fleet feet anymore and that's why Johnson has had this success and been able to get off. What a fight, this is awesome whens the last time big guys performed like this?

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Damn this is close. You could easily give Johnson the last three rounds so a tough one to score.
-
Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
I had it 115-115 a draw..hehe wouldn't be shocked if they give it to Dawson.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Both guys gave 110% and both guys seemed exhausted, and shot, in different stages of the bout. Great appetiser for the main event, and Johnson once again in a fantastic fight, and this could well be the coming of age for Dawson, taking big shots and coming through, where a knockdown could have been enough to swing it. The judges are taking their time.
UD 116-112, 116-112, 116-112. All to Dawson. That decision gets a huge round of boos from the crowd, who can't see such a big gap in it. Personally, I can't see that gap there either. Dawson not celebrating too much, and Johnson once again thinking he's been robbed. That guy has had so many rough calls.

Story of the mans career.
-
Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
REMATCH!
I would think so, great fight I can't really understand the margin but I've seen worse, I had it one round off of that 7 rounds to 5 so understandable. Lots of close rounds.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Bullshit...but props to Dawson he showed some heart.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Bunce is an angry man again, citing that Dawson is clearly not going to be great because he was nearly beaten by a 60 fight veteran who was nearly 40.
I seem to remember Rocky Marciano going life and death with a 40 year old veteran to come from behind and win his title as well though so I'll say again Buncy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Dawson is young and is in a division with three of the toughest most battle hardened old men in all of boxing.
He's only going to get better in my opinion and can still go on to to be the future of the division.

Once was enough Nc....but I agree that Dawson showed great spirit and resilience in fighting through the barrage in the later rounds. I'm loath to call it a robbery however, as I had Johnson down and out in 7 & 8 with Dawson ruling the roost.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
My girlfriends Setanta keeps freezing, so watching the Cotto card instead. Cintron vs. Margo about to start...
I missed the decision to Dawson-Johnson at the vital moment.

Re: Woods v Tarver/Dawson v Johnson Light Heavyweight RBR double header
Ok Tarver Woods up soon.
Tarver is in his home town which will make it all the more hilarious when he gets booed and jeered on his way to the ring :D
He'll probably have uncles, auntie's and cousins in the crowd throwing fruit at him and calling him a wanker ;D
