For the sake of the division I can only hope he does and wins, convincingly. Haye brings with him a loyal following and a fun personality. I was at first annoyed by his Wlad stalking, but it atleast is giving attention to HW's where there obviously is some scorn and disappointment.
I don't dislike Wlad, but I sure would like to see him tested by someone exciting and mobile. Haye could potentially be that. Time will tell.
I like your wording and whole heartedly agree with this entire post. I also would like to see Wlad fight Haye but only after some time in the div. At least 2 fights.
Haye is skilled and quick and I'd love to see him win and breath someting back into the div. He's got a big mouth and that'll always sell afight!

People forget Haye is a NATURAL heavyweight. He said that himself it ain't an opinion ;). He had to starve himself for cruiserweight. He'll be faster at the weight and hit harder at the weight cuz he won't have to starve himself. Yet he will come in great shape as always. Not flabby like Sam Peter etc.

He also said that saying he struggled to make cruiser was a ploy to get Enzo in the ring on their terms, can't all be true. Regardless, he may very well be the next champ, but he needs a few fights to prove that, and it takes more than a punch and some speed to be succesful at heavy, just ask Herbie.

Your right, he said he was weight drained at cruiser to Enzo. But in reality he could make cruiser (although with starvation).

Has fought only one pro fight at 217. He fought at like 205 and 06 a time or two but evey fight has been at 200 or below. Fighting in the amatuers at HW is a world apart from a 12 round pro heavyweight bout. I would beg o differ that he is a "natural HW". He looks his great at 200 and it's hard to believe that he'd greatly improve above that, although possible.
Haye has many times admitted that he struggles to make weight but that doesn't nessesarily mean he'll feel better north of that once in the ring. Only time and a few fights will tell.
I hope Haye succeeds as I'd love to see him spark Wlad. I just don't know if he's got it in him.

PoB, your signature of the brothers is hilarious, probably the gayest pose a couple of heavyweight champions have ever made.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko V David Haye Vote who would win
I was looking for a rediculous Wlad pic ans sure enough... BINGO!;D
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko V David Haye Vote who would win
I posted this already elsewhere, but short of a very well timed lucky shot, this has the feel of a heavily hyped blow-out. Wlad will prove too big, too skilled, too composed and too powerful for Haye.
Klitschko by TKO between the 4th and 7th rounds.
Haye's already been taken out once, and that against a far inferior and smaller opponent.

Agree with your arguments, Klitschko by KO/TKO in the third quarter of the fight(7th, 8th or 9th).

Re: Wladimir Klitschko V David Haye Vote who would win
Wlad is too experienced, too skilled, and simply too big for David Haye

I disagree. I think Wlads experience is his biggest advantage, but as for skill? To me Wlad has looked very robotic since his crushing KO's just working behind a decent jab. Haye is a lot more SKILLED than any of the opponents Wlad has ever faced IMO and will get inside that jab and KO him. As for size well let me say I'm not the biggest Tyson fan and think he was overrated but I'd go for a prime Tyson to destroy Wlad and Tyson was smaller in height and very similar in natural weight to Haye so how could he be simply too big? Also Haye's Punch power is so ferocious I wouldn't put him too far behind Tyson in a punch power competition.

David Haye isn't Mike Tyson. All I want from this matchup is for Wladimir to get credit when he smashes David Haye's face in

Re: Wladimir Klitschko V David Haye Vote who would win
haven't read all the thread but if was betting I would go for Wlad by stoppage from around the 8th-11th.
but it would not surprise me at all if haye connected early and finished the job
in which case I would have a split bet ;)

Wlad always gets my repect but I'm not so sure he will "smash Hayes face in" I honestly think your underestimating Haye.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko V David Haye Vote who would win
How can I underestimate him? He hasn't fought anyone worth a damn and he has already been KO'd. And honestly when has a guy who just throws bombs ever gotten better with age? If David Haye doesn't come into a fight with Wlad thinking sweet science (and not bombs away) then he's going to leave that fight on his back!
David Haye right now is an in shape Sam Peter nothing more. If Haye showed he could box vs a bigger and stronger fighter than himself or even one of Wladimir's size then maybe I would worry a bit but right now David Haye is all bark and very little bite.

Considering Wlad's mental state when he fought Sam Peter and his mental state now......HELL NO.
Sam Peter fought a Wladimir Klitschko who didn't know if he could take a punch, who didn't know if he could last the distance, who didn't feel comfortable in the ring....David Haye will fight someone who KNOWS he is the best and at the peak of his game.

I agree with most of what your saying. Wlads defeats have made him a more formidmable opponent because he will not leave his chin out lightly anymore and he is probably at his peak right now and is the best HW until someone beats him BUT Haye is certainly no Sam Peter. Peter proved against Vitali he had no heart and no matter what you say about Haye he has plenty of that. Also Haye's Boxing skills are lightyears ahead of Peter's as I believe is his punch power and accuracy.
-
Re: Wladimir Klitschko V David Haye Vote who would win
Sam Peter never had the "goods" he had power but he thought too much of it and never honed his skill. Right now David Haye is following the same path.
David Haye has in his amateur career and his pro career so far been able to get by on his handspeed and power. Haye hasn't had to fight anyone bigger than himself, Haye hasn't had to fight anyone stronger than himself, Haye hasn't had to fight anyone more powerful than himself, and Haye hasn't had to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat vs Wladimir Klitschko he's going to have to basically do all of those things for the first time ever.
Wladimir is a tested heavyweight champion, he has the best jab that I can remember it may be on par or even better than Larry Holmes' jab, Wladimir has lost only 3 times in 55 total fights and he's won 52 of those fights and 46 of those wins coming by way of KO and most of those wins were against bigger and more experienced fighters than Haye.
To quote Manny Steward "We're going to introduce him to big time boxing"...that's exactly what Manny said before Wlad fought Sam Peter and right now I see Haye exactly where Sam Peter was only David Haye has already shown MORE weakness than Sam Peter had by that time. David Haye has proven NOTHING to me and when Wlad beats him up people will finally say "Haye didn't have enough experience"...just remember I called it beforehand

I'll remember for sure, when I'm taking all your rep points that is.
