Pascal will get injured in training. That is his routine ;D
Froch really needs to go to the States for a fight, he is no spring chicken and needs to make a move NOW. SW fighters may be more willing to fight him as long as he comes over to this side of the Atlantic.
He already went over and beat future hall of famer - Henry Porras.
;D
Seriously i like Carl, he's one of my favourites. Problem is, no fooker wants to fight him. He's high risk, little reward to the moment. Similar problem to Junior Witter, except Froch is actually quite good.
He has the power to KO anybody at 168.

I agree with you here, he ain't big enough to bring in the big money and he is a big puncher, but how good is he, until he fights someone decent then we'll never know.
All he needs is the 1 fight to get him to the big leagues and hopefully someone will give it him

Well because he doesn't have a conventional style, he will always have his critics.
But he fought a russian i think last year who was supposed to be a big test, and he destroyed him inside 2 rounds.
I guess time will tell, but i'm quite hopeful that he'll get a shot at least.

Sergey Tatevosyan was the Russian he beat and had never been stopped but his record isn't that good. He had been the distance with Bute, Eastman but had lost 7. Saying that Froch did well stopping him that early.
His last 2 fights haven't helped, unbeaten Rybacki was a jike and Robin reid didn't look too inerested after the 1st

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
Hes been a pro for 7yrs only had 23 fights in his last bout beat another bum who had days notice and he is talking Joe Calzaghe?
Its been 3mnths since he beat Ryback in a couple of rounds why aint he fought again? where is his test? surely he could fight Bika in the mean time.
as poor as Froch is he should own Pascal who is really a tomato can.

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
How long had Calzaghe been fighting before he faced a fellow champion? 12 years.
We can all punch holes in people's records.
All said and done, i'd rather watch the cobra than the slapper.

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
He wasn't the one who pulled out of the Inkin fight, Inkin pulled out 2 times I think. Then he just recently fought a different guy coming back from a injury, so thats Inkins fault. Froch needs to step up, and he's trying to, just gotta get a reliable opponent. I think Bute V Froch would be a good matchup. Both need some exposure.

Ha ha you twat;D
froch aint even a champ yet, so how can he face a fellow one:rolleyes:
It took 4 years for Calzaghe to earn his shot at Collins, a very respected champ, he eventually fought Eubank instead, either way a tough chance to take but he took it.
Now Froch on the other hand, hes a pro for 7 years, gets a shot at Calzaghe, makes his piissy excuses and keeps crying to the papers and still no one knows who he is;D

I agree that Froch would have done nothing for Joe C's legacy and probably didn't deserve a shot at the undisputed SM champ at this stage but reading the coverage of negotiations (which I know aren't always a true reflection of what has gone on) didn't Warren want options on Froch's future fights which if I was Froch's promoter would have completely p*ssed me off.
-
Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
On the other hand, wouldnt you also have thought
"Well, fuuck Hennessy, theyve got me nowhwere in 7 years, ive got this shot for the biggest purse of my career and if I win I get a better promoter"
Now where is the part that makes you think its a bad move for Froch.
Either his promoter has totaly blind sided him with bull shit or Froch was too scared to jump in at the deep end.

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
Right Carl Froch has proved that he doesnt belong with dometic class and hes better than any other European fighter IMO. Inkin was a big step up, but one he needed, but he fagged it! No excuses. At the end of the day, Carl has the experience that he needs to step it up and he will fight ANYBODY at 168. Jean Pascal is his next fight and this is a step up from most of his other fighters. He will knock out Jean and when he does that he needs to keep fighting higher profile fighters. He wants to do this, there is no question in that at all.
Hes ranked WBC number 1. He wants the best, but do the best want him? I dont know, but at the end of the day somebody is going to fight Froch with a name in the next 4-5 months and we can really see how good my boy is ! He needs that little boost to put him up there and Jean Pascal is going to give him that. He may be 31, but hes better at 31 than he was at 27. So what if he has left it later on in his career, hes looking very strong for his weight and will be taking out any fighter IMO at 168.
Bring on everybody !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calzaghe won his title at 25yo beating Chris Eubank.
Froak has been pro 7yrs and fought nothing but ubber tomato paste!
Inkin pulled out YES but this Froak should have fought somebody ANYBODY by now.
I would love it if Calzaghe said "I`ll never let a Froak beat me"

But they are on the world level. Bute or Kessler-Froch would be an outstanding match up!

I think both fights go down like Hamed and Barerra.

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
Ok, im satisfied now, even Tam Sedon, Frochs biggest vocal support is agreeing that Carl needs to do some fighting.
As a fighter, I see Carl has flaws, he poses, leaves his hands low, doesnt have the reflexes to move out the way of punches with a low guard, hasnt fought a decent comp to prepare himself as hes got too used to relying on his power against opponents who are intimidated to throw. After his last fighta im not convinced hes that big a puncher either, Rybaki was blowing in the second from the very short notice but he still ended on his feet and took alot of Carls shots well.
I think Carl has left a step up too late, old dogs dont leanr new tricks, hes gonne struggle with Bute.

I dont hate Froak! do i think he is a prick... yes i do.
Froak will load up as he does every fight (he cant box watch Magee) he uses that low left hand as a range finder for his right hand left hook combo. Bute and Kessler are superbly schooled and would dart in and out landing on Froak as his defence even against bums is open.
He could get lucky and land a bomb but Froak is a one trick pony Bute and Kessler are not.
I dont easily sell on guys who have done nothing yet scream king dickdom ive been burned too many times.

Your actually wrong in every single thing you have said there Ross! His guard isnt the best I agree but his range and footwork is the way Carl defends himself. If he knows hes in trouble he gets the hell out of there and his reactions of punches are good. Hes never hit the deck so his defence cant be that bad? Froch even said after the Rybaki fight that he was looking for one punch to end it in style. He was the 3rd replacement, he was a nobody. Its Inkins fault that you didnt see the best in Froch and you will see the best in Froch against Pascal
HE IS LEARNING NEW TRICKS THOUGH !!!!!!!!!!!! and hes getting better every fight he has, hes not that old, god B hop is 43 and still going and fighting at the top. Age isnt everything, hes a lot better now than he was at 27 isnt he?

He learnt a lot from the Magee fight, I agree he was trying to just look for that punch. But at the end of the day he knew it was coming. I think against Pascal hes going to have to box more than he usually does but he will find the openings. If he hurts Pascal he wont be able to just stand there and box all night. He will have to trade and he will crumble. Some rounds Froch will loose ie against Dodson but hes setting them up because he knows that its coming. Hes getting to be very effective at 168. I cant wait!

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
Ross,
Didn't Froch beat the crap out of your boyfriend Robin Reid?
I recall you saying that Reid would wind back the clock and beat Froch...
Now that, my dear...is gay ;)
-
Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
Ah right, thats it, youve put me right off him again:(
The reason he hasnt hit the deck yet is because he hardly fights and when he does its retreads, oaps and midgets;D
As for Carl getting the hell lout of trouble, are you trying to say any of his opponents so far have been capable of pputting anyone in trouble?
He hasnt been tested so far, he hasnt had to get out of trouble, hes getting caught by the lesser opponents which is why I find it ridiculous anyone takes his claims of greatness serious;D

The reason Froch gets away with his style is he hasnt fought a dangerous world class fighter yet . The jury is out on Froch , he needs big fights now.

I know you're just making a point here but Reid was never going to pose a serious threat to Froch in that fight (maybe a punchers chance early at most); Reid was well passed it at that stage but I'll always feel sorry for Reid after that decision against Otke for the IBF belt

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
Reid went to italy and wan the wbc belt when he was 24.
Froch has got a job to get out of Nottingham and hes 31;D

You said Reid would beat him.
That Froch had a dodgy leg, etc etc...

at the end of the day they werent as bad as you say they arent. They are capable of putting up a fight, but its alright you saying that they didnt fight back, the simple fact is they dont and they didnt have a plan B. Carl is a very dangerous fighter and hes going to give problems to everybody at 168
-
Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
I think the issue with Froch is that he is obviously above domestic and european level but at world level there is an unknown quantity there. I'm not sure whether it was his fault for not being active enough or being avoided by the other champs.
Nevertheless, I certainly see him getting the WBC title and defending a few times but think if he meets Kessler he will get beat.

Re: Carl Froch (The Froak)
I dunno... I really don't mind the guy at the bottom running his mouth. I just dont?
I'm more prone to dislike the guy at the top who runs his gums but never seems to take the risks.
Froch hasn't had any credible fights but i doubt thats much to do with him. These ''He needs to move stateside'' are fair comment but seriously...
How many guys from Nottingham do you know living in your neighbourhood :)
Na seriously, i don't blame Froch for his current predicament, nor do i lambast him for using his clap trap. But that doesn't hide the fact that something neeeds to happen in his career.
