Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
Look im not the only person who thinks this. U crap on about Benn and Eubank like they are the best ever and give no credit to Jones who if u took a poll on this board would be seen as the better fighter.
You always have an excuse for why Benn or Eubank lost or didnt fight some1, but when it comes to Jones, he always ducked, his opponents were injured, over the hill, or some shit.
Jones did more, fought better opposition, won more belts and was way better than Eubank or Benn.
Get it into your head.
And dont call me names, it so mature and offensive.

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
I like DD's posts but I wish they were about other fighters more often. It's definately a bit of an obsession.

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
Saying that Benn and Eubank were better than Roy Jones is like saying the 80s rock group/Zep wannabe "Kingdom Come" were better than Led Zeppelin...both statements would be equal in how ridiculous they sound! I loved watching Benn fight and I liked watching Eubank to an extent, the Jarvis knockout was very exsplosive...but wasn't that one of his very last knockouts and pretty much one of his last performances that truly could be called awesome? But to sum up the competition that each man faced and how each lman ooked in winning, very few can compare to Roy Jones an I'm sorry, but Benn and Eubank are not in that league!

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
i like dds posts as well, they are quite interesting. i didn't know that leonard sparred with jones. even though i think that eubank would beat rjj i think it would be close. i dont dislike jones either, he was a quality fighter - great to watch.

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
I'm sorry, have I missed something?
Did Eubank say he killed a man shortly after Michael Watson but wasn't charged??

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
For all the 'Eubank-haters' (in other words the scummy left-overs since the Thompson fights), I'm going to bring back up a quote from Eubank, here's what Eubank said in March 1994: "They misrepresent me in the media so much that it gets way beyond it, it gets below the belt. I think there is a lot of jealousy in this world, there are probably more than 10,000 professional boxers on this planet and I'm rated as one of the 10 best. They can sit down and be as sadistic as they like, but they should ask themselves if they have ever put on a pair of boxing gloves in their life.. and like I said, there is a lot of jealousy in this world."

It was kept private at the time, so not a lot of people know about it. Eubank first revealed it in his autobiography, and he's barely talked about it since.

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
Is it true that Eubank asked a female reporter to stroke his cock at a party a few years back?

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
Eubank's relationship with Tyson is as follows...
They became friends at the NYC golden gloves in 84, Eubank won the middleweights and Tyson won the heavyweights. Tyson then took Eubank to Gleason's Gym to spar with Kevin Rooney!
Eubank and Tyson repeatedly stole from a 93-year-old wheelchair-bound woman!! But they felt so guilty and ended up giving back to her money-wise what they stole just before her death.
Eubank lost contact with Tyson around 86, and didn't see him again until he visited him in prison. Eubank was the only boxing person to visit Tyson in prison and Tyson was pleased to see him and apologised for losing contact all those years ago. It was Mike Tyson who introduced Chris Eubank to Islam, although Chris converted on his own accord.

Re: Eubank: "I did what Johnson did to Jones, just 20 years earlier!"
Sorry i know this is really old but this is biggest pile of crap i've ever heard DD or WWatt whatever your called Eubank admitted that Jones would always beat him and wow he beat up teenage Roy Jones that makes him hard doesn't it Jones beat 3 future hall of famers easy where as Eubank was getting gifts of bloody Ray Close and getting a gift vs Watson and Benn in rematch the list just goes on Eubank was struggling with mediocre chumps like Ray Close where as Jones was beating Hall Of Famers and making them look stupid Jones would beat Eubank easily by one sided decision honestly if anyone thinks Eubank could beat Jones they must be a fan boy of Eubank or just bloody insane.
