One only has to look at Angulo and see something was wrong with him. He was growing another head. Chavez lip was badly lacerated. He's Mexican. So obviously the cut was nothing to you. Replays clearly show Hopkins getting full leverage on the body shot to De La Hoya. If Oscar would of been from Welfare Island it would of been the greatest body shot you ever saw. But he wasn't. So it's fake. Either way you can say what you want about how serious or not the injuries were. Bottom line is they were real.
I look at Ivan Calderon twice staying on his knees. I see no injuries. I see Johnathan Gonzalez doing the same shit. He had no injuries. Jose Gonzalez went to the UK and was dominating. Soon as the opponent fights back he quits. What was his injury again? There wasn't one. What was wrong was Carlos Quintana when his corner begged him to go back out but he wouldn't. Nothing. Well when it comes to Margarito cheating if he was i don't think Cotto would of lasted that long his chin not the greatest in the world. Not to mention Williams and Clotty seem not phased by his punches. I am not sure when Margarito started cheating or stopped but i dont think it was his whole career.

Probably not, 140. Most likely he started his career clean. But I also find it very unlikely that he picked the Mosley fight to start cheating all of a sudden. Chances are he was already doing it for the Cotto fight. Forget the chin. Look how Cotto's face totally disfigured from the punches he started taking from Margarito later in the fight. And I stress the word "later", because in the beginning it was all Cotto. Yes... Cotto has been tagged and staggered. But prior to Margarito his face had never been broken up like that. Honestly? Well to be fair by that point Cotto had some major scare tissue even before that fight happened. I seem to me that he bruised really bad as well and cut i seen Cotto pretty messed up at times in big fights. Clotty and Williams seem pretty much not effected really at all by Margarito and those fights were close to the Cotto fight. Rematch between them does not say much to me really Margrito by then had his shit packed by Mosley and then his eye socket crushed by Pac so he was pretty much done. Anyhow Margarito no saint or anything its hard to tell when the cheating began because he had long career.

Well, Cotto has been marked up and cut before, to be sure. The fight vs Judah comes to mind. He's also taken some bombs and had to come back to win, like in the Ricardo Torres fight. I just feel the amount of swelling and bruising from the Margarito fight wasn't proportional to the amount of punches he took. But again... nothing can be proven. The rematch? Yeah... Margarito was damaged goods. A bit of karma, I guess. What goes around comes around, like they say. Cotto fought a smart fight, and got his revenge. As for Margarito? History will take care of judging him how it should, probably not too kindly. But again... no... I don't think Margarito was a cheater his whole career. But IMO he had become a cheater significantly before the Mosley fight.
