Jose Alberto Clavero

On Wednesday he'll fight Rafael Sosa Pintos, a guy who'se last two fights were 6 round decision victories. Yep, Mundine is fighting a guy who's last two fight were six rounders.
Of all those fights I'm pleased to say the only one I saw was the Soliman KO. People need to boycott this guy until he fights somebody with a pulse and not. At this stage the only criteria to get a fight with Mundine is that you own a pair of trunks and gloves...
Mundine just offends me as a boxer, he has done absolutely nothing to get a major deal signed, he is a waste of space! His management team travel the world looking for cab drivers, park bench bums and ice cream salesmen to get in the ring with him. This farce cannot continue much longer and surely by the end of 2009 we will see the end of him and this charade will be over!
The Tyson ear biting offended me as i really feared for the future of boxing that night, boxing cops a lot of flack at the best of times and this was an incident impossible to defend.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
I get offended that guys who are too tough for their own good (Holyfield) are still allowed to fight just because they can still draw a few bucks, even though they should not be allowed near a ring.
I also get offended when I see a guy like Roy Jones build up a fight like he did in Tarver 3 and Calzaghe and not put up a genuine effort to win the fight.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
That scumbag Panama Lewis pulling the stuffing out of Luis Resto's gloves and watching him pummell and essentially end Billy Collins' career and life offended me too.
-
Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
-Margarito trying to load up his gloves against Mosley.
-Chavez/Whitaker farcical draw
-Tyson many prefight news conferences, especially for the Lewis one

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
Arum saying it is stupid for Manny, a WW(147) champion of the world AND LMW (154), to "starve" himself to lose a couple of pounds - him being the WW champion that is.
So Cotto (Top Rank) doesn't get the same respect???
What about Margarito?
Or saying Mosley (WW champion at the time) only at 144, then 142, then 140.....
wait that was last year, Manny has "filled" now filled into a WW right?
BUT people are saying that Manny has actually not gained weight since the 2nd Marquez fight he is just not cutting any more. and actually have to make him put on weight...
Arum- Marquez at 147 or NO FIGHT.
These guys are RIDICULOUS.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
I'm not really offended easily, I don't care about "controversial" things that people say because usually I can give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to promoting a fight.
I don't think I've ever been as offended as I was with the whole Cheato/Pacquaio thing. For them to take this scumbag who absolutely disgraced the sport of boxing and give him a HUGE money superfight with the hottest fighter on this generation was absolutely sickening. Not only that, but for them to sit there and try to sell Cheato as a legitamite fight for Pacquaio, for Freddie Roach to release that bullshit about Pacquaio looking terrible in training to try to sell that absolute garbage fight was really sickening.
Its moments like that that remind you what a terrible, disgusting "sport" this is.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
After watching the Resto-Collins HBO documentary, I felt like I was violated too and I was literally gonna throw up. So horrible, tragic story of the infamous fight. Collins had been beaten so severely that the injuries suffered in the fight ruined his eyesight and halted what had been a promising career. Resto so thoroughly battered Collins that it still strikes me as almost inhuman that Collins survived the fight without being knocked out. I hope Panama Lewis will burn in hell after life on earth.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
Offended? Obviously cheating is offensive
the really bad things that can come from cheating aside I think Dirrells 2 performances in the super 6 were pretty horrible
the kind of displays we can do without

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
Ray Leonard's last comeback bullshitting everyone he still had it only to get knocked out by Macho Camacho. What horseshit. Then telling everyone for six months that after his calf healed he would continue. The guy just didn't know how to deal with life out of the spotlight.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
Don't know all the details but how about yet another sactioning body coming ourway, courtesy of Larry hazzard and Randy Gordon ? Sure they'll come in on the platform of reform while handing out trunk loads of dime store trinket belts no doubt?

My sentiments exactly...
In a way I'm glad more and more people are watching and learning about this fight and also Panama Lewis.
Which is what leads me to believe that Alexis was also cheated when he faced Aaron.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
Cortez ruining the Mayweather vs Hatton fight pissed me off.
Manny Pacquiao and his team.
Margarito should have been perminantly banned.
I don't really get offended very easily especially not by a sport anyway.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
Butterbean being the last main event on USA's Tuesday night fights telecast still stings...Gus Johnson calling fights for Showtime....and Jim Lampley offends me on a loop.

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
Watching Eastern European football crowds making racist chants to black players
Every time I think of how the US government treated Joe Louis.
When the German goalkeeper broke Patrick Battiston's back in the world cup. sos for spelling
When the Vegas judges gave the fight to leonard over Hagler (and when they gave him a draw against Hearns)
When Tyson bit Holyfield's ears
When Scuffler Hopkins said he's never lose to a white boy (har har, that worked well, Bernie)
When fighters talk about killing their opponents
When internet warriors question the courage of people who have the balls to step into a ring in front of lots of people

Re: A moment in the sport you were actually offended
I remember not liking it when Hatton pretended to smooth out Larry Merchant's hair during a post fight interview, or when some of his fans boo'd the American National Anthem. I'm not sure if these happened on the same night.
Still, I wasn't exactly offended, I just thought it was bullshit.

Did he say "not that one, the one I mixed" that motherkxcer is clearly shady. Thick skin bastard will deny anything.
The most recent is when Margarito aka PUTO had the nerves to have and hold that drink infront of the HBO camera while inside the locker room.
