Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
David Haye is new and exciting especially for the Brits who haven't have a decent fighter since Frank Bruno (Lennox Lewis who was their adopted son was born in Jamaica or Canada or whatever).
Wladimir is at the peak of his career he's 32, he's fighting with more confidence, he's doing things champions should do and taking on the best opposition is part of it. Sure Rahman isn't World Class anymore but looking at Wlad's past few fights he has fought more cagey and strange styles and fighters than most past great champions. David Haye is a smaller version of Sam Peter and looking at how a Wladimir Klitschko who didn't have much confidence schooled Sam Peter gives me the notion that he's going to handle David Haye in much the same way and with ease....you Brits won't like looking at it though.
Wladimir will control range and pace with the jab and tying Haye up when he tries to get on the inside. Haye will try landing the big bomb but Wlad's defense is a lot better than it used to be and David will get very frustrated...while Haye is at distance thinking of how to attack, Wlad will be sitting on the right cross waiting for the right time to throw it and when it lands I don't think Haye will get back up.
Wladimir Klitschko wins by KO 5
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko

How can you say David Haye is anything like fat ass Sam Peter ?
David has speed, and power. When was the last time Wlad fought somebody like that ?
As SOON as he connects with that right hand Wladimir will go down.
And how is Wladmir gaining confidence ? He barely throws a right hand.
Lyle as I have said previousley Haye LOVES tall and chinny opponents.
Just watch the fight with Alexander Gurov. He was 6 foot 5 and a half. Haye knocked him out in 45 seconds of the first round.
This is going to be easy work for Haye.
Haye KO 3
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
If Wlad doesnt fight Arreola, Haye should fight him at least to make some buzz for a fight with Wlad.

Lennox was born in East London, he moved to Canada when he was 12. So yeah he IS British. Also I assume your talking about Heavyweights when you say we haven't had a decent fighter since Frank Bruno? I do agree that people are underestimating Wlad here, but I think Haye can take Wlad purely because his speed will get to him, and I think a lot of people dismiss him as simply a banger. He would struggle with Vitali though. I don't know how you can justify Rahman as a world-class opponent anymore, the guy didn't even look good against Toney
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
If Klitschko comes into the ring with bad intentions, I just don't see Haye being able to deal with the size and skill of Wladimir. Haye's chance is obviously to land a huge shot to the very questionable chin of Mr. Klitschko, but in the end, I think this is a blow out, big man slaughters little man, with the outcome never in doubt.....but then.....I could be wrong.......
Klitschko by TKO6
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
At least it is an interesting match, and doesn't involve a 90's retread.
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
You have to admit Haye is putting his money where his mouth is (assuming he signs the contract).....He could have milked a few tune up heavyweight fights to make a few bucks and build up the fight to make some serious cash...instead he is going for broke...
Either he is confident in his abilities, worried he will get sparked by a fringe contender, or is just plain nuts.....;D

Unlike your boy who got floored by the fat slob and ultimate disrage to boxing Sam Peter, not once....not twice...........but 3 TIMES!!! :lolhaha:
One thing for sure Carl Thompson didn't whip Wlads ass;)
That's irrelevant. Haye had 10 fights, he was young and inexpeirenced. And just gassed out.
Very True, not sure why people go on about a fighters early loss.
Hell Bernard Hopkins lost his 1st fight and had a rather successful career.
Wladimir Klitschko was Ko'd by Ross Purrity early in his career but did that loss mean that he could never get better.
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
Haye has had 4 fights at Heavyweight not the 2 that so many think.;)
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
I don't see Wlad taking this. Nothing is signed and I won't believe it till it is. In the last few months he hasn't done anything to convince this is a fight he wants. He knows Vitali likely has the tools to beat Haye, but I don't see he standing in there with a young hungry puncher who can find a way past his jab. If Haye gets a shot, it'll be Vitali.
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
What has David Haye ever done to show he can get past a jab?...much less a GREAT jab!
I hope you Haye fans are happy when David is waking up from his little nap wondering if he even came in second....he's never going to be the same!
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
Haye wins just by getting in the ring with either one of those laboratory creations. The fact that a chinny cruiserweight is the best possible opponent for them tells you everything you need to know about the heavyweight division and the fact he has a chance to beat them tells you how good they actually are. If there was a half-decent heavyweight out there he could beat them both on the same night.

....don't fool yourself, Haye doesn't have a chance.
Even if Haye was to land one of his Hayemakers who is to say his punching power works at heavyweight??? And even if it does work he has to follow up Sam Peter caught Wlad with ILLEGAL punches and couldn't stop him....Corrie Sanders caught Wladimir flush on the button and Wlad still got up before a 10 count

Anybody who can punch has a chance against the glass-jawed brother. That's why he fights like a big fairy, terrified to get hit on his crystal jaw.
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
First of all Haye has not earned a shot at any HW belt and second I don't think he could make it up the ladder to contend ;)
Re: David Haye to fight Wladimir Klitschko
Haye has a better chance against Wlad.
I still think Wlad wins though.

Great Post,
I think it was very telling that Wladimir's older brother once again was ready to step in once again to protect his weaker chinner brother.
That chin must be really fragile if he's worried about a little Cruiserweight.

Terry Dunstan did that to Gurov in 14 seconds (including the time Gurov was counted out) AND that was before Haye got to him AND lasted 12 rounds with Karl Thompson.
Man, Dunstan woulda took Haye to school..he still might ;) he made his comeback a couple months ago

Haye has a better chance against Wlad than Vitali but show the guy some respect man. He's been through everyone there is to offer and his KO ratio is sky high. If he's knocking that many people out by 'slapping' then Haye should be fucking terrified.
