Gotta say I love the country...not the sticks but away from the city...a good 10 miles just to town....Quiet as a church at midnight by 7pm....people don't even lock their doors....great for my kids
I hate it whwn people say that. Daxx I'm sure it's a nice area, but with all due respect that is just a little bit ... how shall I say... ok you pick a word. At best it's asking for trouble. I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone on the news say "We just never thought it would happen here". Shit of the worst kind can, and will, happen anywhere.
It's true, I lived in Kentucky for years and we never locked the door like Daxx said no one even thinks about it it's just something we never did.

I rarely if ever lock my doors, just forget to do it,spent most of my life dealing with at least two deadbolts,so its a nice change of pace

North Liverpool. Towards Lancashire.
Very nice and peaceful. There's a park and canal and big field behind my house. So a few families take their kids there etc to feed the ducks. School is 5 mins away. Tennis courts are 3 mins away. Train Station is 10 minutes away. Ideal spot. I love it here. Little noise as I live on a quiet estate.
20 Mins south and it's a whole different story.

I used to have a guy who would steal my trash cans when I lived in the city...Funny part was he would steal them when they were full....The neighboors would see him doing it and he actually blamed it on the wheel chair guy a few buildings down....
Never understood the guy:confused:
Re: What does your neighborhood sound like
sounds like the highway from a ways back, whipporwills, cows lulling, roosters crowing, tractors in the field.
Re: What does your neighborhood sound like
Quiet for the most part...
Train as the amtrak runs about 2 miles from my house.
Considering I grew in East LA where gun shots, siren, screams and lots of noise were the everyday sound for the better part of my life.
I have to say the amtrak sound is something I can deal with...
