That was against Craig Watson, the current Commonwealth Welterweight Champ. He's not a big puncher though, least not at 147

never seen that till now
damn that was like a scene from Breakdance The Movie ;D
Playing hard to get again eh? ;)
if it was too easy you wouldn't enjoy it as much.
Khan on points in a pretty one-sided fight.
You lot really think warren is dumb enough to put him in a dangerous fight so soon after what happened against Prescott? He's a businessman - not an idiot.
alot of talk of barrera not having a lightwieghts punch power but thats ok cos khan doesnt have a lightwieghts chin
Marco Antonio Barrera "El Barreta", win by unanimous decision.
There's going to be a lot of disappointed posters come March 15th.
There's also going to be a lot of 'Barrera is shot, Kahn would get his arse handed to him by JMM, Guzman, Campbell, who ever else is a puncher at 135' threads.
Good times. ;D
He isn't totally finished....but he will be after this fight.
I agree with you, but the people who are waiting to slag Kahn off afterwards need to make their minds up now. They either think he is shot or they don't.
Just like people needed to about Tszyu and just like they needed to form their own opinion of Jeff Lacy before the Calzaghe fight.
To be fair - those situations were totally different. Tsyzu was P4P ranked no.3 and THE 140 champ. Lacy was an unbeaten IBF champ, supposed new superstar.
Barrera is CLEARLY past his best. If Khan wins a decision/late stoppage he'll - depending on how it goes of course - probably get plenty of credit from all but the real haters. If Khan blows Barrera away early, or Barrera quits after a few rounds, he wont get no credit. Obviously people will say Barerra was shot to bits.
So it depends on how the fight goes.
What a fucking waste of time this post was ;D "it depends how the fight goes" :beat:
Barrera isnt the man he once was but hes very smart and very experienced, Khans got great talent, very fast hands with power in them but this is Barrera, hes faced that type of opponant countless times, he knows how to handle it.
And Khans chin can take nothing of any note, and Barrera has enough of any note.
Early stoppage, not as early as Prescott did it, Barrera will be more patient but the time will come within 4 rounds. Khans punch resistance is gobsmackingly bad.
Good post. Well said ;D
My point is and it's not directed at you or Missy, some people on here will pick Barrera to win easily and then slag Kahn off if Kahn wins...regardless of how Barerra performs.
Just realised my point is now the same as your point. In a round about way i'm trying to say 'it should depend on how the fight goes'
Taxi
Not yet but he was moaning on the setanta JMM/Diaz show. Something seems to have gotten seriously under his skin;D
Shall we make it a saddoboxing mission to drive Bunce off the rails? ;D
I don't like his style. I appreciate that he has some knowledge and i'd still rather watch him then watch Johnny Nelson et al but his style annoys people. Setanta is kicking Skys arse on the Boxing front although Saturdays choice of european action from germany was a little bit strange.
what the hell was that all about???
Sky had the olympians and rogan-skelton, itv had thaxton defending his european belt and tyson fury!!
Why the hell would setanta think any boxing fan in the uk let alone casual fan would miss both of those to watch 2 foreign guys i and nobody else has ever heard of fight for a belt nobody care about??
If their viewing figures broke 5000 i`ll eat my hat!!!!!!!!!
They got the deal with Sauerland, & my understanding is they lost the Olympians in exchange for Warren giving them the Jennings fight. I have to say I did actually choose to watch the German fights first, then Thaxton, back to Sylvester then on to Sky for the Olympians & Rogan. I'll never complain about a channel putting on extra boxing & Sylvester can be pretty good to watch at times when he gets going.
On Buncey, I think he has gone a bit too over the top in his support for Brit fighters in the past couple of months, but there will always be people who complain about everything, even if his article in Boxing Monthly was a bit weird. Thought that how he was for the Diaz-JMM fight was a distinct improvement on how he been recently, & liked that he said he didnt no whether Khan should be anywhere near Barrera let alone Marquez or Diaz ;D
Barrera's skills and experience will be the deciding factor in this fight.
Barrera TKO.
I hope MAB wins, but Khan is no walk in the cake.
Im going for a Khan win, im a fan and i really hope to see the undoubted potential he's got fulfilled in this fight. MAB's had his day and i hope he retires soon.
