The longer it goes,I think Penalosas prospects increase.Lopez has set the bar now & he needs to meet it and if the quick KO does not materalize...dont go all jungle.I dont think Penalosa has to bring huge power on him as much as he needs to answer and capitalize on rushing mistakes, just hit him clean and often, counter.Great, great crossroads fight.
There's a difference between going for the quick KO and letting it come, and I think Lopez does the latter. Lopez did not go out and seek the first round KO against de Leon. Ponce did. Lopez just waited for the right time and it came. That's how Lopez fights. Lopez is a pretty smart fighter and not a wild puncher. he definitely has the ring smarts. Penalosa may be a crafty veteran, but I believe Lopez will find a way to get the job done. The question is, how will it look for Lopez if he goes 12 rounds? Many doubt his abilities already and I think that stopping Penalosa will be what he needs to possibly get the big money fights and the attention of more boxing fans. I just hope that he does it smartly and not like a wildman. He has never given me an indication that he lets the crowd affect his performance. And Juanma is a motivated fighter and personable like Tito. He will find a way.

IMO it goes the 12 rounds, but it would still be a very good accomplishment for Lopez

The way I see it, Juanma will capture more a lot of people's respect if he beats Penalosa by a convincing decision or late round KO than knocking out him out in early rounds.
Gerry will test Juanma's boxing ability that's for sure.

The most impressive KO was Figueroa as he wasn't even looking for the KO, just hit him with a combination and sparked him. He appears to have the temperament and character to be a big star in boxing, he's got the skills and definitely got the power. He's going to look good on Saturday night.

That is what boxing is Kila , i understand what you mean here bro..., but IMO you come up to the ring to demonstrate what you got and finish your opponents , this depend how Penalosa impose his strategy , if he try to be slippery , who know.....................;D
The queston is if Penalosa can asimilate Juanmas power during the fight , if he wants to go until the limite..................
