IF Castillo gave him a hard time, you can be sure Marquez can as well. Also, if I would follow your logic, every fights (or 90%) would be a tune up fight for Floyd. To me, Marquez isn't a Tune up fight at all, Floyd picked him because he's by far the best small guy available and he knows which reproaches are made to him and he wants to try to patch it up with great caliber fighter but at a weight where his risks are smaller. IF JMM is a tune up fight, It's the toughest one you can pick from.

I considered it a tune up fight as a result when this various conditions exists:
1. 1st fight of a boxer after a long lay-off
2. One fighter is a heavy favorite to win the fight (PBF is 4 to 1 favorite)
3. One fighter enjoying all the tangible advantages over the other

To be fair, Mayweather Sr. was the one that called Marquez a tune-up fight for Lil Floyd Jr.
Marquez is no walk in the part for Mayweather Jr. but the best guy available is and was Shane Mosley! not Marquez.

People are broke and the outcome isn't really in question. People will buy it on tv especially after all the 24/7 garbge, but it just isn't the fight people want to see.

Mayeather is 31 and Pacquiao is 30, a year doesn't mean shit, unless you're a fighter who's for more than half of his career relied on his CHIN and power to win fights, seeing how at least in the ring it'll age you quickly, Floyd is a year older and has never been hurt, much less really tagged, don't see any advantage there for Manny sorry buddy

therefore the Leonar/Hagler fight fits your "criteria",
Leonard's first fight back after a 3 year layoff was Hagler, and his advantages were that he was bigger than Leonard (although Ray was taller Hagler was the more muscular and heavy built fighter), Hagler had fought all of his career at the weight, and was undefeated since winning the title making all his defenses, besides the Duran UD, by knockout, and Hagler had TWO good eyes

Re: Slow ticket sales for Mayweather-JMM fight
Looks like GBP is worried about the low ticket sales. Even though they have reached out to the UK based audience with Hatton vs Judah, it appears that it won't be enough to cover the bills and they need to bring in some more drawing power! With Diaz on the ticket, we might actually see 7500k+ PPV and I'd be tempted to buy it. NOT it's against Malignaggi....
Malignaggi Wants Juan Diaz on Mayweather-Marquez
Malignaggi Wants Juan Diaz on Mayweather-Marquez - Boxing News
By Rick Reeno
BoxingScene.com has received word that former junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi is now willing to accept a fight with former lightweight king Juan Diaz. Malignaggi was scheduled to meet Mike Alvarado on the "Latin Fury 9" undercard on June 27. The fight fell through when Alvarado suffered an elbow injury during training camp. Malignaggi had waited for several months for the Alvarado fight to happen, and now his patience has run thin. He wants to take a fight before the end of the summer.
Malignaggi was previously approached with an offer to fight Diaz, but wasn't exactly thrilled with the fight taking place in Houston, Texas [Diaz's hometown]. Diaz is scheduled to return on an August 22 HBO televised card. He may get bumped to the pay-per-view undercard to Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez on July 18. If he gets the switch, Malignaggi would like to fight him on the card. If Diaz remains on the August date, Malignaggi is still open to working something out.

Re: Slow ticket sales for Mayweather-JMM fight
So Saddoboxer first wants to boycott, then says he hopes Marquez gets a good payday.. Can't be hoping too much if you're not going to help out!!
Regardless, you can guarantee that Saddoboxer will be all over the boards after the fight after he boycotted it..
I like watching the fights in HD on the plasma screen.. This is a potential great fight, and regardless, it involves mayweather, which is all the more reason to buy it.
Any big fight, is a guaranteed watch. Whether it's ordered or you go out to a bar to see it..
Clearly you are not a sports fan.. Just because your favorite team isn't in the finals or playoffs of a sport, do you not have any interest in the game(s)?
I really hope the Mayweather/Pac fight takes place.. I will say it now that because you are the biggets nut hugging, sack gobbling, cum guzzling queer for Pacquiao that you should feel OBLIGATED to put your stay here at Saddo's on the line.
Pac loses you leave.. Floyd loses I leave.. that's right I will put myself on the line to get your stupid, immature, completely oblivious a$$ off of this site.

Over the top and suspect how so? I'm asking the guy to put his money where his mouth is..
What is REALLY over the top is the amount of absolute garbage he posts. Queue the "well then don't read his threads if you don't like them" remark. I don't buy that.. On a public forum, such as the main board, that excuse doesn't fly. The main board is the, "lets talk about boxing, and i want all of your opinions" board. Go into the off topic board or the lets get it on board if you want to post garbage.
In casual conversations with my peers regarding any sport, there are certain people in person that I refuse to debate with because of their bias towards their "favorite" player or fighter being the "best" fighter, and it is annoying as hell.. Unfortunately, I will not stoop to using the ignore button for anyone, I barely even neg rep anyone unless it's an awful post, so excuse me for being a man about this, i guess?

then he calls out people who have there screenname after their favorite fighter (like me) or people who have favorite fighter avatars, sigs, etc., by saying they're nutthuggers
but difference in my case, i don't make 10 million threads about Morales, didn't even do that when Morales was taking apart Super Featherweight division
Saddoboxer is a joke, his knowledge about BOXING is pretty weak, only thing he has any knowledge about is gay little tid bits about Manny's personal life, wouldn't doubt that that "Happy" dude was him, seeing how his ass dissapeared, same as most of the surge of "Pac Fans" that came for the Hatton fight

Alright man... calm down.... I thought you were post that sh*t to me because I was poking fun at the low ticket sales... (an indirect response related to Mayweather's big PPV draw mouth) and it came right after my post.... if you read your post back, it's an attack! and suited for PM not on the public forum that's exactly why I say and still say it's over the top. On most any forums attacks are prohibited and off topic! It's got nothing to do with being a man. It's just proper etiquette!

I didn't deny it as being an "attack" to Saddoboxer, i actually think it's pretty obvious.. no sugar coating needed..
I post enough on the main board for most people here to know that i'm not just here posting to start stuff with anyone.. And, in fact, there is no need to continue defending myself in regards to how i feel towards Saddoboxer because everyone knows how he is..
And a PM would be less effective, as at least here, everyone can witness Saddoboxer either being a coward, or grabbing his manhood and agreeing to a deal which, in his eyes, should be a sure thing because he seems pretty damn confident in Pac to me? Seems like a no-brainer!

Re: Slow ticket sales for Mayweather-JMM fight
I suspect he would leave like many of those who are 'fighter-fans' rather than fight fans do when there boxer loses. But there's nothin wrong with what RP33 did, he called him out, he didn't use any offensive or abusive language, that ain't a problem

Re: Slow ticket sales for Mayweather-JMM fight
Floyd was never the main attraction. Pre-oscar floyd never respectable PPV numbers.
Previous high before DLH was Gatti and everyone bought it to see Gatti in action.
PBF style isnt PPV friendly, and even if he is a nice guy behind the camera, when in front of one he acts like a tard.
PBF-Baldomir did less than Zab-Baldomir. Honestly, even now Floyd probably isnt a much bigger attraction than Zab. Ok, thats not true. But definitely not as much as he should be.

PAC vs. PBF is the fight I wanted to see most... No disrespect to JMM but he has no tangible advantage over PBF whatsoever and I expect JMM to lose against PBF... I think PAC has more chances of defeating PBF than JMM...
If you want PAC-PBF to happen so that your banishment bet offer to me will also happen, you better join me in not buying this PBF-JMM fight... Will you do it??

It's up to you guys, I respect your preference how to watch this PBF-JMM fight but as for me, maybe I'll just settle for an online stream... Definitely I will not be buying this fight...
.
same as Pacquiao has no tangible advantage over PBF whatsoever
PAC is younger than PBF... Could have more stamina...
PAC maybe faster than PBF too...
.
Floyd is 31 Manny is 30, one year isn't gonna make a difference, and stamina? I've only seen Floyd tired a bit in ONE fight and that was the first fight against Castillo, and if anything it's one more advantage to Mayweather, he hasn't been in the wars Manny has, so Floyd's 31 is a lot younger than Manny's 30

It's a FACT, PAC is younger than PBF.... PAC is 30 y.o. while PBF is 32 y.o. (birthday: Feb. 24, 1977)... Please don't fool people to believe that PBF is still 31...;D

I honestly think he has some kind of illness, maybe he wears a signed pair of Pacman shorts and shadow boxes in his bedroom mirror in between posts.
I'm not even joking

eat my own words, if you wanna go with that shit, Marquez has an advantage then, experience, he's been fighting as a pro since 1993 and Floyd since 1996, do i think it'll help him, no, same as i don't think 2 yrs of age will stop Manny from gettin beaten by Mayweather, you need to get your head out of your ass, go whack it to your little Manny in drag poster

Did you read my postings?? I will not buy (boycott) this PBF-JMM fight so that hopefully down the line, the low PPV buys of this fight can make the PAC-PBF fight a lot easier to make...

Your mom said no, huh? :LOLATYOU: Ain't it about time you moved out your mommy's house and start doing things for yourself? That way you don't have to ask permission to order a PPV. Have some respect for yourself. 38 years old and still getting tucked in at night by mommy. That's just sad

Re: Slow ticket sales for Mayweather-JMM fight
I don't know about the ticket sales being slow but I most definitely will buy this fight on PPV, I'm counting the days actually. I'm not boycotting because Floyd/Pac may never happen anyway.

OK, we'll give experience to JMM... PAC too has that advantage over PBF... What other tangible advantage(s) JMM has over PBF?? ;) Only one??
I didn't say PAC will beat PBF because he's younger... but it could be a factor... I'm only citing it as one of the advantages PAC enjoyed over PBF...

What the fukk are you talking about? I haven't once attacked you. You claim to be a Boxing fan and not just a Pac fan. Yet you won't nuy a fight between the current and former pound for pound number 1's. Two great future hall of fame fighters. A fight every single true Boxing fan will get. But not you. There can only be 2 reasons.
1, You lied about loving Boxing. You actually hate the sport. You only put up with it cuz of your lust for Pacquiao
2, You can't afford it. Your mom said no. All you got in your purse is 49 cents not 49 dollars. So you make up lies about it being boring to cuz up the fact that you ain't watching.

Stop ignoring the the point:mad:
Pac has taken more flush shots and sustained more damage in his career than Floyd.. Fact
That negates the age and deterioration factor since pac by more abuse is less preserved than Floyd.
Now stop being an idiot, your setting yourself up for failure..
I vote we boycott your user name since its a disgrace to Saddo and the legitimacy of his site, to have such a biased misinformed embarrassment such as yourself flaunting his namesake
