Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Great 10th round for Chambers. As some of you have said, he looks in better shape than his recent fights. The way it's going, I wouldn't be surprised to see him stop Dimitrenko.
-
Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Down goes Dimitrenko in the 10th. Dimitrenko fights back and lands some shots, but gets hurt again. Dimitrenko runs into problems when he stops jabbing and allows Chambers to throw combos, while he holds his gloves up. Chambers is landing punches around the gloves that hurt Dimitrenko as well as some vicious uppercuts. Dimitrenko can't afford to stand still in this fight.

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Why did Eddie stop on his body attack? He was hurting him everytime he went there. He stopped, and just went headhunting instead. :dontknow:
I give the fight to Eddie easy.

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
I can't believe one of the judges had it as a draw. :vd:

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Only caught the last 4 rounds but does Paul Thomas need to find a new job 113-113?? Everyone seems to say Chambers won 9-3 or 10-2 where the fuck has he got a draw from if thats the case?

Well, the fight is taking place in Germany is it not? The home of bullshit decisions and suspect scorecards.

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Scoring
113-113
116-111
117-109

I'm sure he likes money - in any currency - as much as any other corrupt judge/official.

Yes, it was in Germany, and as soon as I heard that first score was a draw, I thought Chambers was going to get screwed.
He won that fight easily.

I think he was scared of having a point deducted or maybe Dimitrenko acting got to him. A few more clean bodyshots and Dimitrenko would have been gone.

Come on VD British Judges are no way near as bad as the Germans, well usually anyway ;D.

There worse. German judges at least have an excuse. There crocked. I don't get that same impression from British judges. They just suck at scoring

Yeah, I guess he could have been worried, but he still should have kept with it, he was hurting him good with those body shots.
I bet everyone that will be fighting Dimitrenko in the future, will now be body hunting after watching this fight. ;)

Any examples? I've never thought of British judges as overly incompetent. Then again, I can't recall any fights that I know were scored by British judges.

Eddie seems to be too nice in the ring. When he hit him with that body shot, where Dimitrenko just turns his back and walks away from him, Chambers followed him and then stares at the ref like, "should I continue on."? If the ref doesn't stop the action, most fighters would have run at him and hit him with everything but the kitchen sink, Chambers looked like he was waiting for permission.

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
the guy won when most said he wouldn't. congradulate the man how he won doesn't matter
-
Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
I watched the first eight rounds and honestly just got to borred with the fight, didn't find a single round to give to dimitrenko...and dimitrenko better watch out if he turns his back like that or just starts walking away without the ref stopping the action he might get hurt cause some fighters wouldn't be as gentelmanly like in there as eddie was.

I was thinking maybe Dimitrenko could control distance and pace with his height and reach, BUT after remembering his troubles with Luan Krasniqi I figured Eddie Chambers' counters might do something to him, because inspite of Eddie being short and rotund he punches pretty good.
That was basically a poor man's Wladimir Klitschko that Eddie Chambers just took out, tall, rangey, upright style....sure he didn't have the accuracy, power, smarts, or strength of Wladimir but Eddie just showed that size doesn't matter to him.
Dimitrenko would have been a good fight for any of the heavyweight contenders just to prepare them for the size of Wladimir or Vitali

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Dimi is not that bad, but for a big guy, his jab is wanting. Chambers did everything right. It was his perfect storm. As I thought might happen, his hand speed generated more power and rocked Dimi to the point where he became very tentative and began backing up. EC then went on the stalk and closed off the ring on him.

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Brilliant performance by Chambers. He outclassed Dimitrenko from start to finish.
I didn't think Eddie would win let alone dominate. Props to Fast Eddie.
-
Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
Awesome, I really like Eddie even though he's bound to disappoint at times, gotta download this.

Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko
I finally seen the fight on Sunday. I must say I was impressed. I think the Povetkin fight was kind of a fluke and I believe this is the real Chambers. I can definetly seeing him take on the big names of the division. Although I can not see him beating either Klitschko. I can see him beating Arreola and Haye and in a pretty convincing fashion. A rematch between Povetkin and Chambers I can see Chambers winning.
