Vic is an asshole but that is why I like him ;D. He is the strongest fighter in the sport mentally. I mean he can even watch himself get knocked out on a replay, still deny it happened (and actually believe it) and threaten to give his opponent another ass whoopin! That is straight up ballsy stuff and it kicks ass .
Clubbing fists with an attitude to boot. That's a mini Mike Tyson right there!hehe

Re: Darchinyan-Agbeko. Who do you got?
Tough one to call.
Darchinyan using his jabs now. He also have that lethal left uppercut as his new arsenal. He improved a lot OFFENSIVELY since that lost to Donaire.
But he is facing tough Ghanian fighter. Agbeko has enough power to do damage on Darchinyan. If Vic is not carefull and keeps moving forward, he could eat another one punch KO.
Darchinyan by decision or Agbeko by KO.

Re: Darchinyan-Agbeko. Who do you got?
Im taking the King Kong by ko.

Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
might as well make one, show's starting at 8
What is the undercard? Nick De Marco against somebody?
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Antonio Demarco and Anges Adjaho.Demarco a lean boxing lightweight to watch I believe.
Dont think they are showing the Cunningham vs. Wayne Braithwaite cruiser fight. That is a real shame ?
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
They are showing the Antonio DeMarco vs Anges Adjaho fight first.

You owe me a drink, we posted the same thing at the same time. ;D
You're right, they are not showing the Cunningham fight unfortunately.

Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Antonio Demarco 21-1-1 (15) vs. Anges Adjaho 17-1 (9) lightweight title eliminator 1st up.Adjaho bit of a mystery...those are always fun.
Oh and Diane...drinks on me ;D

Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Could someone PM me a link? I can't see the 1000+ thread because I haven't been here a year :(

Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 1
Demarco apparently has not seen much of him either.Adjaho probbing...Southpaw Demarco circling....crowd booing early. After tonight,I'll never boo another fighter.Adjaho doing more...keeps his arms extended...Demarco times him and catches Adjaho with a wicked left stuns Adjaho.Crowd really over the top with booing
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
no shit, crowd's quick to boo for some reason, not a barn burner yet but not exactly a snoozer
Adjaho definitely more consistent so far.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 2
Double jab from Demarco...Adjaho presses in and both still feeling one another out...Wide left misses from Demarco and Adjaho has that pesky left that stays out there...Adjaho lands a glancing left as Demarco comes in.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 3
have it even up 1-1.Adjaho and Demarco come too life...Both land straight shots to open...Adjaho almost playfully lands a left again as Demarco comes in...Demarco seems a bit puzzeld as he sits on the outside...Adjaho is moving his hands well...lands long right hand and spins out...Demarco takes a while to warm and think he will have to step it up...
I think the kegs must be flowing in parts of the crowd. For f!!!k sake sounds like a few drunk azzes over the top.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Adjaho looks pretty comfortable in there. DeMarco just not a whole lot of output and its not like Adjaho's running around the ring or anything, he could get off more but he's just not so far.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 3
Adjaho is really using that left hand...misses a long right and Demarco answers back in kind...Adjaho misses a right...Adjaho is backed to ropes and Demarco lands to body...Demarco backs off and is focused on straight shots to body...Left glances off Adjaho as the bell sounds...2-2 even
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Heating up a bit now, both guys are scared of losing this fight.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Well, it's about time that the pace picked up.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 5
Adjaho keeps alow left but can snap it...Adjaho cups Demarco as he comes in,almost a head clash...Demarco throws nice combo and caps it with left hook on ropes...Adjaho comes off and lands right...Adjaho lands straight right to body...Adjaho backs to ropes and counters a right off Demarcos nose...He let it slip away imo Demarco...3-2 Adjaho.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
I don't know Adjaho's KO percentage but he doesn't look like a big puncher, doesn't get great leverage on his shots. Demarco definitely seems the stronger puncher although he hasn't really hurt Adjaho badly or anything.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 6
Demarco is def waiting around too much.Adjaho is starting to bring double left hands...He has some shifty upper body movement yeh...Ohh damn, tricky double right through Demarcos guard...Demarcos lands a nice right hand and backs Adjaho....Demarco unleashes and stuns Adjaho with a left,Adjaho falls into ropes.Heats up at end...Round to Demarco and again even up 3-3:cwm13: Jeezarse my neighbor is bbq'ing some nasty smelling shit?
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 7
Adjaho is backing and Demarco coming in but over reaching...Nice exchange on the ropes there and Adjaho slides off ropes...Demarcos right is underused....Adjaho lands a sweeping left hook and gets away...Tough round to call.4-3 Demarco.
Agbeko with the fo-hawk..aww come on
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Damn Vic coming in pretty heavy, ten pound jump for that light a weight class is a sizable amount.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 7
Adjaho has come out on fire...Lands two lefts and backs him up and gets him to cover...Demarco lands his own and shuts Adjaho down and gets him backing fast along ropes...Demarco hasssss to sustain a fooking attack....he lets him settle but still comes with left hand that moves Adjaho....Adjaho gets him with a shot...Right hook at the bell from Dermarco...6-3 Demarco
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
I love rounds like that, when the tide constantly turns.
Good round.
OumaFan I just seen your post in the stream thread, I'm glad to see that you got that password thing figured out. ;)

Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Round 6
Time for a Fosters...Adjaho keeping tight guard....Demarco lands small uppercut...three jabs nail Demarco...Adjahos left eye mucked up...Two body shots from Adjaho and does good moves off ropes...OHHHH SHITE.Adjaho went down from a shot and Adjaho was on his knees and looks to ref and then falls face first on canvas...Ref counts to ten fight over.Adjaho claiming foul and tried to Clottey the moment......If Cortez was in there he would have DQ'd Demarco

Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Good fight. Was really amped up today for the Showtyme fights and UFC but this Gatti thing has me really bummed and rather catatonic right now.:p
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
I was just starting to kind of like Adjaho. Bizarre behavior. Sympathy levels are on zero.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
He got stunned and took a knee.I feel like this is football hehe....technically his knee was not touching
Jim Greys a wank....
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
LOL, the referee was so happy he didn't touch a knee.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
That was an Anthony Bonsante or Francisco Lorenzo moment of being dumb, with playing possum, and bad acting.
Agbeko played possum, and screwed himself by trying to get a disqualification.
He deserves to lose for that bull$hit.

That's the better example than Clottey although he does have some Clotteyesque whine in him

Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
I thought Adjaho was a bit unlucky. Not to not win the fight, but he was hurt & was trying to do the smart thing & take a knee whilst hurt but got caught with a punch whilst trying to get down. Not DeMarco's fault, but I don't think Adjaho was faking personally
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
LOL, Adjaho sucks.
Did he say he woke up on the ground  I must have misunderstood him.
-
Re: Agbeko-Darchinyan thread
Adjaho has some skill but he clearly needs to work on his speed in the taking a knee department
I like Demarco but hes mandatory for Valero....he better bring more activity than that to repulse early attacks

But he can't just lay there on the ground and not respond to the count when its pretty clear he could make it the way he jumped up after he was counted out.
It seemed like acting to me, trying to get some extra time. Who knows.
