Should Guillermo Jones remain rated?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...iserweight.jpg
Guillermo Jones (currently #3 at 200) hasn’t fought since beating Firat Arslan on Sep 27th ’08. Should he remain ranked or be removed to the pool?

How far should Cris Arreola drop?

How far should Cris Arreola (currently #9) drop after losing to #1 ranked Vitali Klitschko?
Remain 9th?
Drop to the pool?
-
Re: Should Guillermo Jones remain rated?
He should remain rated as he's got a fight with Brudov next month
-
Re: How far should Cris Arreola drop?
I said remain 9th he was beaten by one half of the divisions best and fared no worse then anyone else has so stay where he is, this is really an 8 man ranking for the HWTS because until the Klitschkos or at least one retires no one is taking either of their top spots soon
-
Re: Should Firat Arslan remain rated?
I made a mistake and put he remained ranked meant to say remove him can any of you guys fix it please
-
Re: Should Guillermo Jones remain rated?
He has a bout coming up and he has a title hard to remove him, I vote stay and lets re-evaluate him after his next fight
-
Re: Should Guillermo Jones remain rated?
I change my vote to he remains, didn't realize he had a fight signed
-
Re: How far should Cris Arreola drop?
Keep him 9th, he was beaten up but thats not to say he won't do better against the other guys not named Klitschko

Killersheep's manager vote of the month Sam Peter again
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...eavyweight.jpg
I vote we knockdown Peter another rank this would put Haye ahead of him and seems a bit temporary since win or lose against Valuev this vote would be nullified. Still here it is.

Re: Killersheep's manager vote of the month Sam Peter again
Yes.Just on the simple fact Arreola fough his heart out vs Vitali, took his beating and actually tried to win....Peter gave it up with a whimper. He does not belong ahead of Arreola....or Haye for that matter
-
Re: Killersheep's manager vote of the month Sam Peter again
Peter moves down a spot to 8th and Haye moves up to 7th by a vote of 5-1

Odlanier Solis vs. Monte Barrett pool worthy?
Is Odlanier Solis vs. late fill-in Monte Barrett a pool-worthy fight?
With Fres backing out a new vote for the new set-up is in order.
-
Re: Odlanier Solis vs. Monte Barrett pool worthy?
By pool i guess you mean that the winner becomes a contender in line for a title shot?
If so, yes and no.
The trouble is there are no worthy challengers out there so presuming Solis beats Barrett he will be as worthy as anyone to have a title shot, as everybody else has already tried and failed abysmally. So in that sense yes.
However, clearly he is not ready for a world title shot in terms of realistically beating either Klitschko. Ideally he should continue to gain experience over the next couple years before thinking about going after either of them.
However the complete lack of talent and competition in the heavyweight division right now will likely necessitate the fact that he will get thrust forward sooner than he should, before he is ready, as there is literally nobody else for these guys to fight.
The old guard, the veterans, and those in the top 10 have all been smashed to the point where nobody wants to see them try again, and therefore the champs have to pick from the up and comers as nobody else is around.
It's a sad state of affairs really.

Re: Odlanier Solis vs. Monte Barrett pool worthy?
Then what is a pool worthy fight?
-
Re: Odlanier Solis vs. Monte Barrett pool worthy?
Members of the pool get priority to fill vacancies in our rankings. If you read the post about how we do our rankings, it does a much better job of explaining than I did here. Think of pool members as place holder spots when a vacancy does come up the members of the pool are evaluated and whichever has either had the best competition they may be moved to fill that spot OR if a member of the pool has a fight which the committee deems worthy the fight becomes an eliminator and the winner claims the spot. Typically people moving up from the pool can only fill vacant spots with how our rankings work is usually 10th place (sometimes 9th on occasion)

I'll vote yes, but Solis' weight is concerning!

Well Barrett has been used as justification to enter the rankings, so if he wins he deserves to enter the pool. We'll just leave him in the deep end though.

Enad Licina faces Yoan Pablo Hernandez on the undercard of Abraham-Taylor this weekend.
Both have similar levels of experience.
Should this be for the vacant #10 spot?
