Re: Should Billy Dib remain in the pool at 126?
As much as I hate him he hasn't done anything to merit him dropping from the pool. Let's be honest he's fighting once in 6 months is more often than many other pool members. If I'm not mistaken his only loss is to Steve Luevano (now the #1 ranked Featherweight) so within the last year he has fought 3 times.

I never thought he should be there in the 1st place, but just reviewing his pool status after 6 months & although he may have been active; I think he was very lucky not to get disqualified in that last fight for hitting his opponent while he was down, plus he was put that himself...

Re: How far should Rocky Juarez drop?
I think 3 spots as John won at least 10 of the 12 rounds
-
Re: How far should Rocky Juarez drop?
There is no 'freefall' option so I have to go with 3

How far should Bernard Dunne (currently #4) drop after being annihilated by Poonsawat Kratingdaeggym (entered at #7)? 1-3 spots?

Re: How far should Bernard Dunne drop?
I voted for 3 spots, with DeLeon moving out come 1st of Nov 2 or 3 spots doesn't really make much difference, but he was smashed!!!

Should undefeated Satoshi Hosono enter the pool at 126?
Should undefeated Satoshi Hosono enter the pool at 126 after defeating Hiroyuki Enoki (who entered as a pool member)?
Satoshi Hosono
-
Re: How far should Jorge Linares drop?
I say 3 spots he was absolutely destroyed. On top of that he's kind of been coasting since coming back from his injury.
-
Re: How far should Jorge Linares drop?
I think 3 spots also; as he hasn't really beaten anyone decent at 130
-
Should Rogers Mtagwa enter the pool at 122?
He almost beat Juan Manuel Lopez on Saturday & anyone who saw the fight couldn't say he's not worthy of pool entry.
We entered Jeffrey Mathebula after he had a close fight with Caballero, so I feel we should do the same here, especially as this pool is quite thread-bare.
Anyone who hasn't seen it yet, watch it, it's the only competitor to Marquez-Diaz for FOTY.

I think he should enter the pool

Should Mario Santiago remain rated at 126
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...therweight.jpg
Should Mario Santiago (currently #4) remain rated at 126, as his last 2 fights have been at Jr. Lightweight? His last fight at 126 was the draw with Steve Luevano (currently #1) in June '08.

Who should fill the vacant #9 spot at Featherweight?

Who should fill the vacant #9 spot at Featherweight?
Note:
Mario Santiago (formerly 4th has been moved to the pool at 130 as his last 2 fights were at that weight), everyone rated 5 - 9 has moved up creating 2 vacancies.
Martin Honorio's last 2 fights have also been above this weight & Hiroyuki Enoki has been removed after losing to Satoshi Hosono so both have been left out.
Rafael Marquez
Rafael Marquez
Fernando Beltran Jr
Fernando Beltran Jr
Israel Vasquez
Israel Vazquez
Satoshi Hosono
Satoshi Hosono
Daud Yordan
Daud Cino Yordan

Re: Who should fill the vacant #9 spot at Featherweight?
Between Yordan & Hosono for me, I just don't feel Izzy or Rafa have done enough here yet, but they're likely to land a big fight soon no doubt.
I think Yordan is the better fighter, but Hosono beat Enoki, so on that I think I'll have to go with him.
-
Re: Who should fill the vacant #9 spot at Featherweight?
I went with Beltran he's looked pretty good at feather and had good competition against guys who could have been rated in the past.
-
Re: Who should fill the vacant #9 spot at Featherweight?
Tough choices here, Vasquez holds the 2 wins over Rafa but both are debatable. Beltran Jr's last 3 wins are over Ndlovu, Roman & Meza Clay. Yordan looked good in what I saw against Guerrero & Hosono's win over Enoki is also good...
My vote has to go to Marquez though

Should Daniel Ponce DeLeon (currently #6) remain in the ratings at 122, as his last fight there was the 1st of November ’08 & his last 2 fights have been at 126?
Daniel Ponce de Leon
Should he remain rated at 122 or enter the pool at 126?

Should Nicky Cook remain in the pool at 130?
Should Nicky Cook remain in the pool at 130? He has been in the pool for 6 months & hasn’t fought since Roman Martinez stopped him eight months ago in March ’09.

Vote to nominate fighter to Super-Bantamweight division
I think we need some new blood at 122, particularly with it seeming that a number of fighters will soon be disappearing from there.
I nominate Victor Fonseca & Mike Oliver. Fonseca truthfully deserved pool ranking with last month's stoppage of Al Seeger. Oliver is a seasoned pro, nothing too special but he is a bit of a gatekeeper for this division now, so his ranking will likely give us the chance to nominate someone worthy of Top 10, or he may prove it himself.
-
Re: Vote to nominate fighter to Super-Bantamweight division
I voted Fonseca only, Oliver man have a ton of speed, but he's just not very good. He has been proven to fail at any the level. Fonseca is at at place where he can prove success and failure, perfectly pool worthy.
-
Re: Should Nicky Cook remain in the pool at 130?
I think he should get another 6 months of trial in the pool. His only losses have been against top tier fighters. if he doesn't fight by March then we should dump him.
-
Re: Should Nicky Cook remain in the pool at 130?
Runs the year, then no fight bye bye
-
Re: Vote to nominate fighter to Super-Bantamweight division
Fonseca definitely! Oliver I don't think so. Escalante should be in there before him if he can still make the weight
-
Re: Should Nicky Cook remain in the pool at 130?
I thought we were reviewing pool members after 6 months? From now on I'll review them after a year
