Should Rafael Concepcion remain in the pool at 115?
Should Rafael Concepcion remain in the pool after being defeated by Nonito Donaire (now our #9)?
He came in way overweight & lost by quite a wide decision... I think he should be removed
-
Who fills the vacant #10 spot at 115?
With Nonito Donaire entering at #9 after defeating Rafael Concepcion we only have one more position to fill at this weight, so who should it be?
Jose Lopez/ Marvin Sonosona winner Sep 4
Roberto Vasquez/ Drian Francisco Oct 3
Hernan Marquez after his recent win over Juan Esquer
Or leave it vacant
-
Re: Who fills the vacant #10 spot at 115?
I thought we agreed it was the Jose Lopez-Marvin Sonosona winner
-
Re: Should Rafael Concepcion remain in the pool at 115?

We had agreed a long time back before Nonito decided to move up & Kirilov was removed to create 2 vacancies. We voted the Donaie/ Concepcion winner for the vacant 9th position but haven't officially voted since for #10

Re: Should Rafael Concepcion remain in the pool at 115?
The fight could have been at the next weight class up and he still would not have made weight, boot him.
a) he's not taking his conditioning seriously
or
b) he can't make weight.
either way no reason to keep him in the pool there.
-
Re: Who fills the vacant #10 spot at 115?
I don't know enough about any of the fighters listed to have a legitimate opinion I'm afraid.
-
Re: Should Rafael Concepcion remain in the pool at 115?
Until we decide on a replacement I voted keep him in but I am not against replacing him
-

Should Julio Cesar Miranda enter the pool at 112?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../Flyweight.jpg
Should Julio Cesar Miranda 30-4 (23) enter the pool at 112 after stopping Eric Ortiz in one round on July 11th ’09?
I think he should as the pool at this weight is pretty thin
-
Should Jesus Jimenez enter the pool at 112?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../Flyweight.jpg
Should Jesus Jimenez 26-5 (19) enter the pool at 112? He recently destroyed Santiago Ivan Acosta (16-2-2 7 KO's entering) in 4 rounds (Acosta had gone the 11 round distance with highly touted Luis Concepcion in his previous bout) & has been undefeated since 2006.
I think he should as the pool at this weight is very thin
-
Re: Should Jesus Jimenez enter the pool at 112?
I say yes we need some fresh blood in this division.
-
Re: Should Julio Cesar Miranda enter the pool at 112?
Not only is the pool thin, but some of these guys like Sakata are knockin on retirements door, need a blood transfusion.

Should Xiong Zhao Zhong remain in the pool at 112?
Should Xiong Zhao Zhong remain in the pool at 112 having lost 3 fights in a row?
I vote he should be removed.
-
Should AJ Banal remain in the pool at 115?
Should AJ Banal (in the pool at 115 & 118) remain in the pool at 115?
His last 3 fights have been above that weight & his last fight there was on the 26th of July ‘08, which was the KO loss to Rafael Concepcion.
I vote he should be removed.
-
Re: Should Xiong Zhao Zhong remain in the pool at 112?
I vo0te leave him in until we decide on a replacement
-
Re: Should AJ Banal remain in the pool at 115?
I vote remove him....One fight above weight is ok but after 3 there is no choice but to believe he has decided to vacate the division

We voted in two guys into the pool last week.
-
Re: Should AJ Banal remain in the pool at 115?
AJ Banal drops from pool after 3 fights at Bantamweight and his last fight at 115 being a loss. By a vote of 7-0.
-
Re: Should Xiong Zhao Zhong remain in the pool at 112?
Xiang Zhao Zhong drops from the pool after three losses in a row. By a vote of 5-1.
-
How far does Omar Salado drop?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18.../Flyweight.jpg
How far should Omar Salado (currently 8th) drop after being stopped by Luis Concepcion?
1 spot to 9th?
2 spots to 10th?
Or drop straight to the pool?
I vote straight to the pool
-
Should Jose Lopez remain in the pool at 115?
Should Jose Lopez (in the pool at 115) be removed from the pool after losing a unanimous decision to Marvin Sonsona (taking the vacant 10th position with the victory)?
I vote that he should be removed. He can still fight his way back; but at 37 time is against him
-
How should Brahim Asloum be rated?
Should Brahim Asloum be removed from the pool at 108, as he has not fought at that weight since The 8th of December ’07?
Should he remain in the pool at 108 & be added to the pool at 112, be moved to the pool at 112 only or be removed altogether?
I vote he is removed to the pool at 112
-
How should Z Gorrres be rated?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...rFlyweight.jpg
Should Z Gorres (currently #5 at 115) remain rated? He has moved up to Bantam and is not showing any signs of moving back down, furthermore it's been 18 months since he's fought at this weight. Plus his next fight is scheduled for the 122 limit.
So should he remain rated, move to the 115 pool or moved to the 118 pool?
I think we should move him to the 118 pool
-
Re: Should Jose Lopez remain in the pool at 115?
The fight was very close he of course the knockdowns and point deduction worked against him, but there isn't much in coming up talent at this weight. I say leave him in he will be naturally voted on in 6 months anyway. If he hasn't done anything great by then, we can drop him.
-
Re: How should Z Gorrres be rated?
Agree move him to the pool at 118.
-
Re: How should Brahim Asloum be rated?
I vote removed altogether, he is way past his expiration at 108 and beating a stepping stone like Humberto Pool is fairly meaningless at 112.
-
Re: How should Brahim Asloum be rated?
He's announced his retirement so neither
-

He said it was due to a bitter dispute with his longtime promoter. So I'm sure he'll be back. But in the mean time drop him altogether

I just have missed that! But in that case I change my vote to remove him altogether
-
