Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
Maybe their findings are accurate?
Gatti strangled himself to death, after he failed to kill himself delivering a blunt trauma to his head!
This is ridiculous! The headline should've read.... Off shore, highly possible pre-meditated murder, found to be a suicide!
No laughing matter, but these are the disturbing facts with the improbable conclusion that is unlacking in its invite for ridicule.
It is a good thing that Gatti's New Jersey family will not rest and will have the remains exhumed in Canada. That's what I thought I've read earlier. I hope this pushes through, just so we hear another version to this death, this time, with no tainted flavoring to it.

Bro, initial reports by brizilian police...(from the press conference) say he was found 1. On his bed 2. a bloody knife near by and 3. A bloody purse strap found next to him and head and neck trauma.
They've done a 180. THAT'S why people think it was a homicide.
Now all of a sudden he was suspended.
I just don't by any of it.I think those conducting...spinning a wheel to find what happened and investigating have lost much credibility and should be well scrutinized. The difference is pretty obvious with regards to a man laying prone as opposed to elevated off the floor ???It smells very bad, very shifty!

Truth... and to add some furthur things...
Once something is ruled a suicide and suspects are nolonger suspects authorities tend to realease a bulk of information as there is nolonger a need to keep things under raps cuz no one is being investigated...
a la David Caradine(I'm using him cuz it's recent)... He was found hanged and amung other things such as a rope tied around his genitals and such...
My point is that the authorites even released the things I DIND'T want to hear... They released them due to the suicide being cut and dry.
Why is it that you seemingly have no/incorrect/conflicting/foggy information weeks after the "Suicide"?

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
So first Gatti was found lying down with a purse strap around his neck, then he was found suspended, and now he WAS suspended but then fell prone on the ground. So what is actually the case? How was he found and what happened?
So at which point didn't this wife of Gatti's not hear a 200 pound man fall from being hung suspended from a 7 foot railing? I think that would make enough noise to where somebody in an apartment would say "What was that? Let me check it out".
Also where did the other injuries that Gatti suffered come from?
....also anyone wonder why Gatti would hang himself (if he did hang himself) with a fucking purse strap??? And why would the purse strap be bloody??
-
Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
This is all BS. We are really to believe that this man hung himself with a friggin purse strap?! Let's be real, Brazil is known for being an incredibly corrupt country. This bitch was brazilian, gatti was not. Either this bitch paid them off, or their looking out for their own, or both. Fuk Brazil.
-
Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
She originally said she stayed the night, at the beach apartment, not knowing that he was murdered. She said she found him in the morning and admitted that it was a murder because 1) she denied being the murderer and 2) she tried to blame the murder on intruders that could have followed gatti from the bar where he had arguments with other patrons. The brazilian press had her stating that it was a murder. Now it's a suicide. Murder suicide it's all the same in brazil.
-
Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
He's was stabbed,Shot and hung...so he either completely sucks at suicide, having to attempt three seperate ways...or he was bumped off by his girl and there has been police corruption!
Now I'm not a person that normally goes along with Conspiracy theories,as we seem to live in a World full of them from MJ being alive to 911...
But I must say this situation absolutely reeks.

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
I've also seen rucksack strap in articles instead of purse strap. I've seen that people were throwing rocks at Gatti and that caused the injury to the back of his head. I think that clearly there are lots of conflicting reports and that we'll still end up with two different theories, the Brazilian/wife's version and the US/Gatti family version. I'm going with the police on this one though though we probably haven't heard their official version yet.

She did...just 10 hours later.

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
Another detail, 3 weeks before his death, Miss Rodriguez would have forced/convinced Arturo to give her more or less everything in case he would die and made him to change his will into that direction: Canoe – Infos – Société: Son testament a bel et bien été modifié

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
The good news is Dr. Michael Baden helped with the second autopsy in Quebec and they already said they found new injuries

Yep, severe bruises apparently and he says that there is other major "avoidances" that the prosecutors in Brazil didn't mention, he doesn't even have the toxicologist report yet, which should be provided this week normally by OUR toxicologists in Montreal, and he'll talk more about the apparently steak knife stab behind the head, sounds like it's getting more and more fishy, especially after the report that Gatti was forced/convinced by his wife to change his will 3 weeks before and to put everything to her name in case of his death...
-
Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
Gatti's brother confirms that Arturo's will was changed 3 weeks before his death, and that the wife gets everything.
Ex-boxer's wife to inherit everything, family confirms - The Globe and Mail
If that, along with everything else new that is being found, doesn't in raise red flags, I don't know WTF will.

From the article it also says that Gatti's wife will also receive 1 million dollars in a life insurance policy. Red flags are everywhere.

I want to know if she made him take away the trust fund he had already set up for his 1st child, a 3 year old girl. Once his wife met the ex-girlfriend, and his daughter, she forbid him from seeing his daughter.

I hope someone kills her; what a cunt.

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
OK let's look at this two ways...
#1 Let's say Arturo Gatti DID commit suicide, why no note? Why didn't he threaten to kill himself? Why hasn't anyone said "Arturo was depressed" or "Arturo had talked about killing himself", even his wife didn't say Arturo was depressed! She said "He was worried she might leave him", but she never said he was depressed or that he threatened to take his own life. Suicide isn't usually something you do on a whim....and it's usually not done by hanging yourself with a PURSE STRAP, I mean why not a belt, why not an electrical cord??? Why not OD on pills? Why not use a gun? Why not use a knife??? That plus the other unidentified injuries makes suicide seem a bit odd.
#2 Let's say Arturo was murdered, his wife never had an alibi, she was in the house/apt for 10 hours, no one left, no one came in, the police checked servailence and the electronic locks, ergo there are only 3 people in the house/apt only 1 has the ability to murder Arturo Gatti and that is Amanda Rodrigues. Surely if Gatti killed himself it's a suicide, and it's HIGHLY doubtful that a 10 month old could kill Arturo no matter how drunk he was. Now throw in the new information about Gatti's will and it casts a big shaddow over Miss Rodrigues and her doings that night.
I think Dr. Michael Baden was the PERFECT dude to call on, if you've seen his specials on HBO, you know he's one smart guy and he'll get to the bottom of this.
I do think if Canada finds incriminating evidence, they are going to have to go through hell to extridite Ms. Rodrigues.
-
Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
Gatti would never quit in life, just like he never in the ring. This shit stinks

No worries Lyle, I've read that Brazil would have the right to refuse such things but Brazil and Canada are getting along together and I've read by a specialist this morning that though brazil could refuse such request, it was likely un-probable that they deny Canada such thing. The cunt might have to suck a lot more cocks and wheel herself in a chair for a couple more months after all the buttbanging necessary to pull out of that one.
To add to your fuel: if you would want to commit yourself, would you do it in a very un-manlish way and hang up yourself with a woman purse? I would for sure not and at least, chose the hardest bitchy rope and drop myself from the highest bridge to at least die with style.

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
Okay, I won't post the pic on the main page here, you'll have to click on the link to see it.
But on the below link, is a pic of the crime scene. Yes, you will see Gatti's body, so if you don't want to see it, don't click on it.
There is also a video, but unfortunately it's in Portuguese, but watch if you want, because they give a demostration on how he supposedly did it.
Here are my thoughts....
Looking at the pic, the wife said that she came down at 6:00 am, and thought he was sleeping, and didn't check him again until 9:00 am and that's when she realized he was dead. Now how can you look at that, and not know something is wrong, there is blood all on the floor? You can just tell something is not right.
Also they point out the stool he used, but the stool is upright, no way if you are hanging yourself, and you are drunk are you going to gently push away the stool so that it doesn't get knocked over.
Also, the wife does not look sad at all about his death.
And I was wrong, now that I see her face close up, that is the same biatch that went nuts at his last fight against Gomez.
Here's the link.

Oh, they must have gotten complaints about posting it, and took it down.
I showed this to Danny last night, and I'm pretty sure he downloaded the video, because he needed it to take screen shots of the wife for me to post in that thread about her in the Let's Get It On Section. When I talk to him tonight, I'll see if he still has the video.
And no, he's on the floor, there's no bed around.

I was interested to see the link Diane put up, a shame to see it removed. I'm not one for looking at dead bodies, but we all want a clearer indication of what we are dealing with here. Too much stuff spinning around for me. :-\

Well like I said, I'll ask Danny if he still has the video, and will post a link if he does.
If not, I did save the screen shots that Danny took, and I can post the links for those, but those are on my computer at home, so it will have to wait until I get home tonight. I have the actual crime scene, a screen shot of the strap, and of the demonstration of how he supposedly did it.
And yeah Fenster, I know. ;D

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
Diane, I think I found what you saw?
TV iG | A pgina de vdeos da internet | Mulher de Arturo Gatti libertada
Are you sure that's blood around his head? If so then you're right - how could she have thought he was sleeping? Even if he was slumped drunk on the floor the blood would you tell you something was wrong. Like maybe he fell and cracked his head open. I can't tell whether it's blood though? :-\
The demonstration beforehand shows two stools. The real picture shows only the one under the stairs. So where's the other stool? From the camera angle the other stool may be knocked over under the stairs?
Is the strap still round his neck? I can't make out whether that's the strap under his arm or liquid/blood in the tile crevices? :-\
-
Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
Yes, that is the video, I was just went to Danny's account on another forum, because I figured he would have posted it, and I got the link, came here, and you already posted it. ;)
Here is a still shot of the scene, in case you need to look at it better.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's blood. And like we both said, how could she not know something was wrong by the way he was laying there.
As far as the stool, if it was standing up, and we couldn't see it, that makes me question it even more only because, if he really was that drunk, one - could he really even stand on a small stool, two - there's no way it wouldn't have been knock over IMO. Being that he was supposedly drunk as hell, and if someone is trying to kill themself, would they gently push a stool back so that it doesn't get knock over?
Where is the purse strap? They said he was suspended probably for about 3 hours. Did it break, and that's why he fell? Is so, why isn't in on the stairs still. I don't see it around his neck, or on the floor either.

Assuming he did commit suicide - the stool must be out of the picture. It was either knocked forward or backwards. Otherwise where is it? It's not the one standing up under the stairs because the demo showed that one already there.
They said he drank 2 bottles of wine with his meal (assume that was shared with his wife) and 7 cans of beer. He couldn't have been paralytic drunk, to the point where he couldn't stand on a stool, because he had a fight with her outside before getting a cab home.
The purse strap must have broken from the stair bannister, so would still be around his neck.. this is the bit I don't get from the picture. The purse strap and the blood?
Where do you think the blood is? There are two dark lines running from underneath his body, one from his neck area, the other from his belly going under his arm/elbow area. Do you think that is blood?

They said he drank
2 bottles of wine with his meal (assume that was shared with his wife)
and 7 cans of beer.
Do you think that is blood?
alcohol poisoning perhaps? wouldnt be surprised if a story like that comes up as well, it changes every week. But its terrible all around

Re: Gatti's death ruled a suicide; wife has been released
A few things strike me about the picture.
1- If you were going to hang yourself from the stair case.. Why not just climb the stairs set of the strap and hop over the railing?
2. its apparent that there was a fall of some type, assuming the body has not been tampered with. The position of the right arm is an unnatural position. its typical of an arm that was trying to break a fall. Had he been choked on the floor. His hand would be palm side down either bracing itself against to floor to relieve the tension on the throat caused by an upward choke againts gravitys effect on the body. Or if it had gone limp while reaching for the strap (also to counter the leverage being applied by the strap.
So for a possibility. consider this: Arturo Gatti is pretty shitfaced and walking around the house after returning in the cab with the baby (i think the reports said). He puts the kid to bed and is probably either looking for another drink or staggering around feeling the effects of the first few.... He sits on the stool by the staircase maybe even leans back... perhaps drifting in an out of conciousness. (we've all been there). At which point the brazilian june cleaver comes home, still stewing about the fight at the club. She sees him sitting there and goes to find a strap or strangling agent and comes back. Shes on the staircase and slips it over his neck and reels back, bracing her foot against the bannister for support. Her reeling back once or twice, pulls the back of arturos head toward the staircase with enough force that it hits corner of a stair or a mounting bracket (perhaps even the bottom of the bannister) that it causes the stab or stab like wounds. Arturos in his already weakened state is no match for the leverage she has with her the force of her legs back and shoulders pushing off the bannister. (if the stool was concievably tall enough which it might be from the pic.. he couldn't even secure any footing as his feet werent completely reaching the floor. Eventually he stops struggling and she releases one end of the purse strap and he falls to the floor. she staggers off and sleeps it off. comes back later to the full realization of what she did..
-She didnt have to be strong enough to suspend his body as had already done it when he perched himself on the stool. She just applied leverage not for lifting but just in pinning him there. Its a lot easier to lock and hold a weight in a certain position than to lift it there.
- I freeze framed the video, there are no marks on her hands (concievable from the purse straps) but then again .. not as much would be needed. the strap was thick enough that it wouldnt cut into her hands. the skin on the hands is also a lot tougher than the rest of the body and takes more to bruise, puncture or abrase. The material of the strap in the video also seems to have a padded part to it which could have been used. Couple that the time she spent in custody could have allowed any marks to heal.
Just a theory running through my head... Run with it if you like.

For a man of his stature, who is known to often socially drink, that is no way near enough for alcohol poisoning.

I too thought it looked like he could have been strangled by someone using the bannister as leverage.
The police said the head wounds happened in the fight earlier. Apparently he fought a security guard and a few other people coming to her aid.
