Stevens has no legs, he's staying closed up and his punches don't even appear to have much power. 12 rounds is a long time, Stevens is getting all he could ask for now with Brinkley standing there and throwing caution to the wind and he's not doing shiz with it.

8-2 Brinkley + the knockdown, this has to be Brinkley's best performance.
I actually think Stevens has taken the last 2 rounds but the scorecards are likely a lost cause at this point. When you are a short fighter with short powerful hooks it's not a bad idea to make yourself shorter, try to get under punches, Stevens has been straight up all night. For a pressure fighter, Stevens really isn't clued in on what he's supposed to be doing.
geez Brinkley is open for a left hook.
Something just isn't right about Stevens, I know he's got basic problems, balance, maybe not mentally the toughest, etc. but he doesn't seem to really have the instincts.
Bit of a 2nd wind for Brinkley that round.
Win or lose, big lesson to be learned by Stevens here.
It's all mental imo, Stevens had the mindset that he was going to walk over this guy and when he didn't the fight left him and he became kind of mindless. That's my armchair psychologist answer anyways, but whatever the case is Stevens better work on it because he's finished if he lets this one get away.
Also, he shaved his beard which could be a factor.

Fun fight. Until the very end (I thought Stevens might have slightly buzzed Brinkley there at the very end) I thought it looked open for Stevens, Brinkley squared up a lot with his right hand down swinging but he didn't take the return that well all the time.
I'm still annoyed at myself. I saw that coming but I thought Brinkley would get stopped early or with body shots.
Well that was pretty badass, I literally can not recall a time I've picked Brinkley to win but I always seem proven wrong, the last was Joey Gilbert who I thought would win for sure.
Yeah, this is the kind of fight that brings me back to FNF!
