Your an idiot.......and the worst part is you didnt even see the fight! douchebag
I'm gonna float something out there to play Devil's advocate: could Shane be a simple mortal once deprived of his 'enhancements'? It is strange how he looked ready to go at least 6 more rounds against Cotto and Margarito, but he's gassed after 2 with Mayweather?
you can say that. but from what i gather, PEDs only help with recovery time of reapir of muscle tissues. if that's the case, it should only affect punching power and not stamina. but then again, mosley didn't totally drop floyd with his punch, just stun him a bit.
you can also say that, maybe it's because of the last minute blood testing/s?
Maybe it is because he has his goddamn AARP card.
You can't state these obvious facts because it means you're not giving floyd credit and you have to give him credit because he's been crying about not getting credit.
Shane looked as tired as Roy Jones in the first tarver fight and it was before Floyd did anything of significance...
The fact that even after the second big blow and the ref broke them, Floyd stumbled across the ring and Shane didn't finish him? I was convinced then that he was too tired to even throw punches and possibly overtrained, which is when I knew the fight was over....I stood up and said "he's about to lose ten rounds in a row.."
why it like that it depends on thier stamina n hard work
lol, has fantana got a new account?
I say that due to me thinking it. Look, I'm not going to argue the point nor was I going to start a thread about it because I'm just going to get cut to ribbons and I don't care to argue a point I can't prove... I also don't care to argue against a others' points I can't prove... but it seemed blatantly apparent to me the other night. Shane caught Floyd with a buck deisel shot and feinted for the rest of the fight. Fought with presure for two rounds and gave the rest to Mayweather barring a few decent shots. It was all a big show to me. It's becoming more and more irritating as time goes on. Feel free to cut me up now, but know I don't care to argue the point because none of you are going to change my mind. The fix was in on Saturday night.
You really shouldn't be giving these kind of radical "fight was fixed" opinions if you didn't see the fight. Pretty irresponsible. Enough said.
So if it was fixed, why not give Mosely a more active role? Maybe he could landed some other well placed shots later on. If the ultimate result was to let Mayweather win, then what was the purpose of Mosely coming so close to possible victory in the 2nd which would have upset the whole "fix"? It just doesn't seem to make any sense to me. Maybe Mosely had his glory/fortune moment at that one point and afterward it had simply passed.
obv troll is obv.

But opinions have to be based on as much logic as possible or else they may become detached from reality. The events that occured in the fight happened for a reason. One cannot ignore that which doesn't fit the hypothesis.
For your part, you could say "Maybe Mosley forgot the script for a moment. Lost in the instant, he tried to go for the kill." ;)
Just so you know POB, my above post was aimed at the OP, not you. While I completely disagree with your opinion, at least you watched the fight to form it.
I got that...
I understand why some would be pissed.
In fact, I'd be pissed because I hate the inclination that money weighs a fight to one side and I really hope I'm wrong. We'll never know, though.
I think that Mosley went in to land a solid punch and caught him a bit too hard and then made it look good and let off the gas for the rest of the fight.
Just an oppinion. I even dispise the fact that it's in my head but I'm just being honest. Feinting and allowing Mayweather is for the rest of the fight was ridiculous.
I have, nor will I ever take away from Floyd's gifts. I, in fact, though not a fan, never dog him.
But my oppinion is my own to have.
POB I think you have gone insane.
I had to go rewatch at least that part in round 2. Mosely would of if he could of. He wanted it. Mayweather did all the tying up he could to keep it from happening.
Note: Mayweather had (prior to the hard shots) been keeping his left hand extremly low for extended periods of time. After getting hit, he only dropped the left hand for very short momments. (at least when he was in range of Mosley)
Ie: Mayweather learned his lesson. He hadnt fully respected Moselys ability till then. (so it appeared to me)
Not going to argue with you or try to change your mind, but rather bring up a few things.. We've seen Floyd do this to people in the past, he's left them gun shy because of his counters.. Shane also through hard punches later in the fight and missed.. he loaded up on a few, and you can't really miss that close on purpose if he wasn't really trying to KO mayweather..
besides all of the physical stuff in the ring.. i can't see shane taking such a smaller % of money, and talking the trash that he did publicly about how mayweather won't beat him, and then throwing the fight? There are too many parties involved, and shane didn't get an absolute enormous amount of money to throw one of the biggest fights of his career. There was a rematch clause in the fight, if Floyd DID get KO'd in that second round, i'd see an immediate rematch of the fight, which would do HUGE money, then if mayweather wins the rematch and even possibly a third fight, also, the Pac fight would still be huge a year or two from now.. plus it's not like pac is undefeated and it would be undefeated vs undefeated.
i just think there was too much involved in a mega fight like this for it to be fixed.. again, not arguing, but just understanding where you're coming from and trying to make light of it.
Wobbling mayweather is a sure sign thats the moment to pull the trigger. Your never going to beat this guy on points he is just too fast and busy for that.
Same thing happened with hatton, he had him in the 1st round and wobbled him bad, he took the "i can build from that" approach instead of finishing it there and then
Also there's more than Mosley's rep at stake if he throws the fight. You have Golden Boy on the hook and Nazim's reputation as a trainer. Nobody wants to be the trainer of the guy who threw the fight, especially if you're on the top 5 best trainers' list. No, I think Oscar dislikes Floyd too much to have anyone in his stable throw a fight for him. You're likely to see the opposite; Oscar having Floyd knee-capped before throwing a fight for him.
He was wobbled, he got caught on the chin and his knees went underneath him
The clearest sign of this is when he nodded his head to indicate he wasnt hurt, a sure sign with fighters that they indeed were hurt and were trying to convince their opponent they werent!!
One of the things we are taught to do, and I still get wrong, is to never nod (or smile) after receiving a good shot. It is like telling the judges and the fighter across from you..."nice 1, you got me." And could end up losing you a pt in the amateur scoring system at least.
It happens around 1:30 of this video. No way is Mayweather hurt, Hatton doesn't even land clean and it was a jab for fucksake. Mayweather was just off-balance.

Watching the video, I do miss Hatton. His square style with his get in your face tactics, that's why the fans loved him as he came to fight.
I'm sure when he did catch Mayweather was later on, 5 or 6. Might have been even later than that, just before he lost his way and got hammered.
Watching that shot at 1.30 a few more times, first glance it looks like it just knocks him off balance, looking again, when Mayweather recovers his balance his legs look wobbly still, much like against Mosley.
