Yeah it's fair enough having opinions but ,of course, you gotta have some justification behind it - so how is Cole 'in a league of his own exactly?

Because In my opinion I think he's better. How can you prove/justify it? It's subjective, an opinion!
I think Cole is better than Evra, you don't so what!

You've lost me?

Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
Cole and Evra are probably the best at left back to start having a go at someone who thinks Cole is better than Evra is a bit silly really not alot in it.
-
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
It's already started.
Jerome Boateng, £11m. Fact.

Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
To me City have the best suppoters in the country. Even when in the 3rd Div, they still had full a Full ground in attendances.

There's some big news. Not sure what it is, but it's positive (for me, i think) and it concerns a Liverpool player (i think). I'll find out. I'm not on the wind up.
It's Gerrard and it's promising. Very.

So where have they been in recent years? While in the Premiership?

I wouldn't have thought so myself, but i'm hearing something that's dramatically changed my opinion.

Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
I think the bookies have stopped taking bets on Gerrard joining City.
-
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
I would be shocked too, but a lot of your predictions about City come true.

They're not really predictions :-)
And this isn't in the press either so if it does happen, it's somewhat of a scoop. Aha.
I'll keep you posted.

Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
My mates just got the job as skills coach there, thats a big plus.
-
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
It's definitely Gerrard and we are really trying....
Next week. That's all i'm saying. It's going very well so far.
Jerome Boateng is done aswell. That one is easier.

Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
Fair play if you get him, but I will be amazed if that happens!

Wednesday could be the day for some decent news anyway.

Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
Media are picking up on the Gerrard story now. Some are laughing, some are saying it's possible. I'm in between.
-
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?

Money. And If Madrid don't want him, his options seem to be stay at Liverpool or go to City. Liverpool don't have the money to invest in quality players, unless they sell one of Torres or Gerrard. Liverpool have a great history but that counts for little when it comes to challenging for league titles over the next 2-3 years, and that's something i believe City will be doing - I'm not so sure Liverpool will be.
-
Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
If Gerrard leaves and that is a big if, he will go to Madrid or AC Milan or somewhere for a big pay day and still competitive football. I think he has just whirled up a storm to get an improved contract from Liverpool.
Torres on the other hand................

I'd be shocked if Milan could afford him to be honest. He definitely has some thinking to do anyway, because Liverpool wouldn't stand in his way. Nothing will happen til after the World Cup, but then things will gather momentum and we'll know one way or the other.

Re: So you're Man City, money is no object - who do you buy?
Milan do have some wasters they prob wouldn't mind part ex'ing, I can't see him leaving, he is Liverpool through and through. Even the Chelsea deal I couldn't actually imagine happening and that was pretty much done.
If I was him I'd want to get out of the prem and to Spain to wind down the last few years
