Damn. Your one of the ones who's going to agree with Augustus that he got robbed, huh?
Ha not now!!! ;D Nah man...I just dont trust the cards and ESPN giving him "all time" status.Frankly his 15 minutes was due to be over and Provodnikov was over thinking it early...just hit em,Done.

Considering the shape he's in and the 3 days notice he is doing fine against this guy. declining attributes or not and Procodnikov is either tired or just bought his time after trying to stop Augustus, we'll see in this next round.
Provodnikov has knocked him down, broke his nose and is still landing at almost 50%, face it he's getting old. Provodnikov is just toying with him now.
he isnt "toying" with him. He's tired and is loading that right hand. I don't see how lettign Augustus back him up in the 7th is toying. Missed the 8th. watching the 9th. From what I see from this prospect he isn't too impressive. He has power, but that's about it.
Any decent boxer would beat this guy. His power is an equalizer but that's about it. Good for TV, but he won't be a champ long. Fight stopped. good stoppage.
So you're saying Augustus isn't a decent boxer? Maybe his age has something to do with that. And yeah he was playing, that right hand couldn't miss all night.

Augustus is a decent boxer. But the way everyone was building him up as an A+ prospect you'd think he'd beat Augustus easily in 3 rounds. What I saw was he gets hit a lot, gets hit easily and loads that right too much. If an out of shape Augustus on 3 days notice can hit this guy often win rounds and even back him up. He isn't an A+ prospect everyone was building him to be. I really don't see him being champ for long if he ever wins one. He has power, but that's about it. Then again nowadays all you need is power fans seem to overlook every other flaw. But those flaws will get him beat. So if he wants to stay undefeated he should stay on ESPN.

Re: Exciting prospects on fnf this week.
What if he becomes a champ and then constantly fakes injuries in order to get out of his title defenses?
-
Re: Exciting prospects on fnf this week.
Hope Augustus doesn't do something stupid and retires. He needs to keep fighting. I can get use to watching him in this position

Who said he was the second coming? I'm pretty sure the terms were exciting and pressure fighter.

Good point.
Let me rephrase that. He won't succeed in many title defenses ;)
-
Re: Exciting prospects on fnf this week.
I said A+ because I thought he controlled Juaregui well and I probably overrated him a little much, calling him the second coming of Tszyu and everything.
But it doesn't change the fact that Augustus is old ;D Which of course is the point to be debated around for Majesty.

Fight didn't last long enough to find out his flaws lol Then again I didn't see anything but the knockout. Was too busy talking to someone on IM.

You have to go to your My Profile section and approve it/add it. Even if it is already added just hit submit changes or whatever and it'll come back.

Re: Exciting prospects on fnf this week.
I'm a "glass half full" kinda guy, and I thought Augustus was mighty impressive in there, considering his age, and the fact he took the fight on 4 days notice. He was moving well (well... as well as his 38-year old legs could manage), throwing punches with bad intentions, and I'm sure he got Provo's attention on more than one occasion. It was a highly entertaining fight, and I'd watch it again in a heartbeat. With all the overblown and out of shape heavyweight bums flailing away at each other out there, and gasping for breath in between, I was pleasantly surprised by the action in the fight.
