Fun fact number 3 if you time Rivera on the third hop you knock him down (bald bull reference for all you 2nd gen gamers out there)

Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread

THe poor bastard.

Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
You could lose a hand attempting to go for that body. Not a bad first round actually. :p
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Rivera looks like one of those fat guys you face in the Fairground on Fight Night Round 4.

He is a bit, fat. He doesn't throw and looks faintly ridiculous.
Get him out of there! ;D
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
They're both really poor to be honest. At least fatty has an excuse - he's movement restricted ;D
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
My last post was messed up.
Rivera doesn't do anything beyond giving us that weird smile after getting clocked. Really weird.

Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
What time is Popkins due on?
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
I would imagine an hour or so. Malignaggi is likely going the distance. ;D
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Malignaggi vs. Lozada
tag line: "This could take a while"
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Haha, Malignaggi is 21! ;D
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
That ref looks like a French-Canadian Patton. He should officiate with a half-smoked cigar clamped between his lips.

Over my head...;D
Why is Paulie fighting at 147 anyway? He's never seemed like a big JWW and will be even less competitive power wise. Is it just a one off jump?
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Lozada = mentally defeated.

To be fair, Paulie is quite heavy handed.

Totally. He appears to be really discouraged. Paulie is looking good here.

Paulie has obviously carried his power up to 147.
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Out of interest why is Paulie so feather fisted? I mean he has fairly decent musculature, and is a skilful guy who knows how to throw a punch technically well. Yet he has no power,it's a mystery to me.
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Paulie could will by KO ;D
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Malignaggi totally dominating this....could it be one of his rare stoppages? He seems to putting a bit into his shots and his opponent just doesn't want to fight. He turned his back twice there. :-\
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Haha! KO by Malinaggi!
;D
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
LOL, there you go. That's not something you see every day. ;D
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Malignaggi by stoppage, Paulie looked good in there for what it's worth used both hands with no problem
-

He's had a lot of hand problems, so maybe he's similar to Calzaghe (who lost to Hopkins :lickish:) in that he punches with less focus on power because of his injury history.
I always hear people say that power is just a natural thing regardless of body-type - you have it or you don't.
-
Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
I wonder what it's like to be punched by Paulie.

Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
He got faster and stronger at 147. He's on juice.

Feather-fisted or not, I'd wager he still hits harder than 95% of the population.

He showed little restraint in using the right which is a bit different. He's usually far more reliant on just the jab, but here he was throwing combos and seemed to be trying to put some dig into his shots too. It was fairly impressive.

Re: Hopkins vs. Pascal Fight Thread
Can someone PM me a Showtime link?
