The Dutch contingent really didn't show up for the semis at all, VdV got battered by Lewis, and Barney just got taken apart by Anderson with a massive average. I'm still hoping Webster can steel himself and get past Taylor. Taylor looks up for it and talks like he's up for it, but is his form up to it?

I like Lewis for this personally, not sure weather to have a wager though.
can't believe all the shit about Taylor being finished - he averaged 102 for god sake. Just couldn't hit the doubles whereas Webster could. And Taylor has never been good at playing catch up (cos has rarely had to)
Only twice have I doubted Taylor going into in a world championships - this time and a few years ago when he also fell at quarters (the only two times he has failed to reach the final) - as both times he was just out of sorts in the preceding months. He has had issues this year with his vision etc...
He will be back. And lets face it we knew he wasn't playing well but his averages are still up there with the best!
He can't go on forever, no one can , but I think his target of twenty world titles is possible. But only just.
I will now be supporting The Bull who is going to have to finish well to beat Anderson who will outscore him (as I write this he is on 3/3 for checkouts !)

Anderson once again losing the first set, but coming back strong once again. It's hard to look beyond him as champion, as he is looking THAT good. Webster v Lewis, hopefully Webster can get through to a PDC final to match his Lakeside one.
Anderson had a bit of a wobble towards the end, but his scoring is so heavy, and he is good on his doubles, so must be a shoe-in for the title.
Second semi looking really good though, all the sets have gone with the darts so far!

Webster had to win that 7th set otherwise it would have been looking grim for him! I think that third game of that set was the first time both tonight and last night that Webster has hit a treble in the three darts after he broke his opponents darts.
What a semi final! Lewis finished off that last game in sensational style! He's very hot and cold, and if he's hot tomorrow he could win, if he's not he could get blown away! Webster had chances, if he can compose himself better after breaking his opponents darts, I think Webster would be much closer to the top of the crop.
The one thing I noticed is that the wire on the outside of the double 10 was broken. Anyone know what happens if a dart falls in the gap between the two bits of wire?
i noticed that double 10 wire broken - don't know why they just didn't change the board. They must have plenty there !
Great semi - wouldn't have thought we would see darts like that without Taylor.

I think that stat shows how much it takes out of you but in reality I dont think that effected Webster at all he played very well maybe bottled it a little in the final set but overall Lewis is just a tad better this moment in time.
That's what made it exciting as well though, as you saw Lewis go ahead, then start to crumble a little when it came back to 4-4, and then it was nip and tuck until the very last leg. Lewis was better, but I wonder if Phil doesn't get back to his all-dominating form of recent years and everything gets tighter around the world's top 20, won't it be an exciting year ahead!Quote:

If you look at it in isolation, yes Anderson's lost to Lewis many more times than he's beaten him, but that's been the same for almost every other match he's played. I think Andy Smith was 6-0 against Anderson as well wasn't he?Quote:
