He didnt beat Diaz and thats the point that if he couldnt even beat Diaz back in the day when he still had abit of ability left then what chance does this older slower version have against a bigger better fighter in Maidana.
Maybe he has seen something he can exploit but if the Limond fight is anything to go by Erik doesnt have much left.
You obviously never saw the fight
Yeah cuz you know better than the judges . . . .

I know what you're saying, but the day after that fight, not one person posting on this forum thought Diaz won that fight. It was a hometown decision. The then boxing news editor Claude Abrams, who's opinion is highly respected, scored that fight by 5 points to Morales. It wasn't close, and is one of the worst robberies ever. Morales won that fight by a country mile. I had it 117-110 for Erik, and I was stunned because I thought Diaz would stop him.

I'm sorry, but is that a rhetorical question? Or you really want me to answer that?
Only fight Morales has ever quit in was the third fight with Manny Pacqauio. And that was only after giving his all and being dropped three times. It was futile to continue and Morales realized it.

Indeed I do. Your from the UK. So I don't expect you to understand. But know this. It's a fact that if Morales-Diaz would of took place anywhere else but Diaz's home city of Chicago, Morales is a 4 division champion. No doubt what so ever. Cuz while fight was competitive it really ain't that hard to score. For one that knows how to score that is

You can't criticize someone's spelling if you're going to completely disregard all other grammatical rules. It's internet law.

I don't like the touch screen on this stupid droid. So i compensated words. Either way the fucking point stands. As well as the last sentence. Let me rephrase. If you know how to score (key word being IF) than you have Morales winning. Cuz it's a pretty easy fight to score. Now if you don't know how to score (category you fall in) than you have Diaz winning. Now it doesn't necessarily mean your stupid (but than again...). It just means there hasn't been any improvement in you. I mean lets be realistic here. You've always been a mediocre poster with limited knowledge. Now don't be a fool and take that as an insult. It's not. Your an ok cat. I guess. But your knowledge has always been basic. Despite being the only one left it doesn't change the fact that your still the other "Game". And I can't give your "Diaz won" comment any more attention than i already have

You like to come across as an internet hardman but the truth is in the real world you would be bent over and made into someones girlfriend. You're welcome to believe that you can do a better job than the judges but theres a reason why they get paid to do a job whereas you sit alone in your trailer with your hand wrapped round your inadequate manhood, spitting flames at people that own you on a boxing forum. ;)

I feel the same way. I just think as many people do that Morales doesn't have what it takes at this point of his career to beat a top 5 guy especially at another weight division. We have to remember Morales was a badass at the lower weights when he was prime not at the higher weights especially right now.

You realize you just might be the only idiot on the forum who thinks Diaz won, right? You know what? I refused to believe your this stupid. Your a dumb ass. That I know. But I'm a give you the benefit of the doubt and say your not really as stupid as your letting on. I think it's more of a situation that you just ain't seen the fight. You should of just said so. I would mail you a dvd. But I'm not sure if your allowed to get mail at your local soup kitchen. So here's a link to the fight. Erik Morales-David Diaz When you get to the library make sure you get the PC with big monitor. DL and watch the fight. And try your best to score it. Take your man with you to help you if you want. If you get Morales winning than I expect a thank you for helping you see the error of your ways. If you get Diaz winning than you really are a fucking idiot and there's no hope for in you in life

Re: EDIT: Morales - Maidana is done deal
Game talks all about how Morales is done (which he is) and how he "lost" to a bum, without obviously seeing the fight (Morales won that fight clearly), yet goes on boasting about Barrera and how he has a chance of being a 4 division champ when in reality he has as little chance as Morales in accomplishing it, hell Morales has been taking on better opposition as Barrera and still i wouldn't give either guy much chance, Barrera beat a bum with 16 pro fights last night, and he didn't look all that impressive doing so, he was tagged plenty and looked out of shape and flabby, both guys are shot to shit

If DeMarcus Corley can give Maidana some troubles, Morales can too. Maidana is still a bit overated in my book, maybe Nacho can help him throw a straight punch.

I don't know if he's hugely overrated or not, but Maidana is the epitome of a one-dimensional slugger. His technique is awful and he uses his chin as his defense, but he has concussive power and I don't think Morales has enough left to beat him.

We are gonna find out what Morales has left against Maidana so lets see who the last man standing is. Who's Morales fought on his comeback who's better than Khan? Barrera beat up a bum on Saturday night but he's been going since 1989 and his career has spanned 9 different weight classes and 7 genuine world titles in 4 separate decades. He was hardly going to be at his very best was he.
Violently abused.
For me to be offended by your words I must first have to value your opinion.

hahaha you think you're that important? you're just another blind fan boy in my eyes, i've said it time and time again BOTH MORALES AND BARRERA ARE SHOT TO SHIT, and yea Barrera took on Khan and had his ass handed to him :-\ so don't see how you can put that as a plus, Maidana is going to wreck Morales and badly, same as Marquez would have done, i'm saying this and i'm a HUGE Morales fan, i'd love for him to prove me wrong but all he and Marco are doing are looking to get hurt, and all you're doing is clutching to what either guy used to be, their best days are behind them BOTH and they should retire and ride off into the sunset and let those 5 years pass by so that both can be inducted into the HOF, cause no doubt that both guys are destined to end up there, but yea go ahead keep thinking Marco is going to pull off some type of miraculous performance against an elite fighter but don't come crying when he ends up seriously hurt after all he should be retired even more than Morales (and Morales shouldn't even be having a comeback) due to how long he's been a pro and the fact that he already has a metal plate in his head, but like i said, keep praying that either guy pulls off a miracle but don't cry when it doesn't happen, they're another tragedy waiting to happen no different than Holyfield, Jones, and any other fighter that goes too far long when they don't have the tools to compete at a world level anymore

Only a fag would think that that fight should have been ruled anything but a no contest. Youre just still sore cuz Morales got beat by David the almighty Diaz.

only a retard would have had Diaz winning that fight, see how that works :), you're the one who's butt is sore from having Barrera pounding on it so damn much, i accepted that Morales is done as a fighter lol unlike you who still thinks Barrera might become p4p again :-X, right now i would have Barrera/Malignaggi 50/50 actually maybe a slight favor to Paulie, same as i would against Morales, neither guy is gonna do anything else with their career other than get seriously hurt, if you wanna back that up, well go right ahead but it speaks volumes about you, and i wouldn't really say it's anything positive

Only an idiot would have seen that contest go another way. Khan was too quick and would've stopped Barrera regardless IMO. In the first 10 seconds of the fight it was quite clear he was going to be too fast for him. Did you really have Diaz beating Morales? Because like VD said, you're the only poster on here who has that opinion. Any other city in the world and Diaz lost that fight.

yea Barrera took on Khan and had his ass handed to him :-\ so don't see how you can put that as a plus, Maidana is going to wreck Morales and badly, same as Marquez would have done, i'm saying this and i'm a HUGE Morales fan, i'd love for him to prove me wrong but all he and Marco are doing are looking to get hurt, and all you're doing is clutching to what either guy used to be, their best days are behind them BOTH and they should retire and ride off into the sunset and let those 5 years pass by so that both can be inducted into the HOF, cause no doubt that both guys are destined to end up there, but yea go ahead keep thinking Marco is going to pull off some type of miraculous performance against an elite fighter but don't come crying when he ends up seriously hurt after all he should be retired even more than Morales (and Morales shouldn't even be having a comeback) due to how long he's been a pro and the fact that he already has a metal plate in his head, but like i said, keep praying that either guy pulls off a miracle but don't cry when it doesn't happen, they're another tragedy waiting to happen no different than Holyfield, Jones, and any other fighter that goes too far long when they don't have the tools to compete at a world level anymore
When did I say Barrera would be become p4p again? You are trying to discredit a great fighter by saying he got caught with a body shot and the opponent looked like Alf. Is that really the best you can do and why do you get such a hard on by talking bad about faded fighters anyway?
MAB did what he had to do on Saturday, and you couldnt ask anymore of an old man several divisions above his natural weight. We could see he was fleshy yet Arias was ripped but he was blown away. Also Barrera plans on moving down to lightweight for his 4th title, not staying at lightweight. Just give these greats more credit thats what Im saying and I wouldnt write off Erik completely against Maidana. It looks bad that he couldnt get a decision over Diaz but Maidana is not the most skilled fighter in the world so have faith in your guy. He may surprise you.

Re: EDIT: Morales - Maidana is done deal
bzkfn,
Youre missing the point. I didnt give my scorecard for the fight. Im just saying it doesnt look good that he couldnt convince the judges that he beat Diaz. The point im making is Diaz is not in his league so we shouldnt even be discussing who won that fight. It goes without sayng Morales owns him in his prime so the fact he lost a "debatable" decision shows how far he has fallen and speaks volumes.
Styles make fights though and I think he has forgotten more than Maidana will ever know. The Argentine deserves to be favourite because of his power and age but he may have to rely on a 1 punch turn around because I can see Morales outclassing him in parts of this fight.

Valuev is nowhere near the same league as Holyfield yet he has a W where a big L should be, same thing happened, the favorite got a decision in his "hometown"

Yeah cuz you know better than the judges . . . .
Indeed I do.
Your from the UK. So I don't expect you to understand. But know this. It's a fact that if Morales-Diaz
would of took place anywhere else but Diaz's home city of Chicago, Morales is a 4 division champion. No doubt what so ever. Cuz while fight was competitive it really ain't that hard to score. For one that knows how to score that is
You're a dumb Yank so I dont expect you to be able to spell. Erik got beat by a bum because he was washed up. Accept it.
And I can't give your "Diaz won" comment any more attention than i already have
"So i compensated words." What did you compensate? words? what?
"As well as the last sentence." (this in itself is not a sentence)
"...thEn you have Morales winning"
"Now it doesn't necessarily mean your [you are] stupid (but than again...)"
"...it doesn't change the fact that your [you are] still the other "Game".

Not to mention. Erik Morales recently beat someone who has a TKO victory over Demascus Corley.

Damn man. Do you have to mention Pacquiao in every post or in every boxing thread that's not even related to him? It could be a thread on Holyfield vs Ali and you and the pinoys would somehow try to mention Pacquiao in it.
Man get a grip, you have Pacland for that.

Hmmmmm
;) You could be right. If i have to gauge it i think its less than 50% of all my posts :D
seriously. Everybody is remembering how Morales got stopped by you know who and fails to realize that Morales actually beat David Diaz. and has never looked out of it againts anybody else including Raheem who mothafucking ran all night. Even Prime Morales has a chance of losing to that style.

Pac beat both Holyfield and Ali. here's why
Holmes beat ALi
Evander Beat Holmes
Toney beat Evander so in effect beats Ali also
Thadzi beats Toney
Virgill Hill beats Thadzi
Thomas Hearns beat Virgill Hill
Sugar Ray beats Thomas Hearns
Camacho beats Sugar Ray Leonard
Dela Hoya beats Camacho
Pac beat DelaHoya

Re: EDIT: Morales - Maidana is done deal
I'll say it, I don't think Morales is as shot as Barrera, and I actually would have looked forward to him fighting JMM. I also think there is a reason that he and his team particularly asked for this fight. Then again with how hard Maidana hits & accumulated damage on Morales, you can't see anything but Morales slumped in the ring. But who knows, in this case, I think Morales deserves the chance. Not to mention, if he won, how big would a fight with JMM be then?
Oh yeah & I also had Diaz beating Morales....
Ok fine I didn't I don't think anyone with a brain did ;D

Re: EDIT: Morales - Maidana is done deal
Seriously. Can anyone tell me how on earth Morales have a chance to pull an upset?
Imo, he should just box his way through 12 rounds and win by decision. It is important that he should remain cool. NO CRAZY MACHISMO STUFF like exchange punches.

Re: EDIT: Morales - Maidana is done deal
Yeah right! Morales without the Machismo. If any of you have seen Don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood You will know what i mean.
You can take Dashiki out the hood, but you can't take the hood out Dashiki.
Morales only knows one way to fight. At some point he is going to stand toe to toe with Maidana, and it will not go will for him. He has never been able to get away from someone who backs him up, and he has rarely had a reason to ever back up. Maidana is one of the toughest fighters I have ever seen. He may be tougher than:
