Mike was unfortunate enough that when he ruled he was so far ahead of everyone else skill wise that he had no great match ups. Unlike the 70's where it was a merry go round that could have added more gloss to otherwise mediocre opponents. The seventies lived off Alis mouth.
Mike would have been avoided like the plague had he emerged during the seventies. For a start Ali went life and death with someone who wasnt as quick, didnt hit as hard, took way more shots, didnt have as good a chin and so on. Norton would have shit his pants at the mention of a contract. Leon Spinks wouldnt be as keen to take the fight as early in his career and Foreman would have been left swinging for thin air while eating shots as he did against Lyle.
Tyson inside 3 I reckon but if Haye was around at Tysons peak he would have just been a good to average fighter - Tyson in this poor era would be at the top. PRIME Tyson that is!
Tyson before 98 was in another world, the Holyfield stuff was just one of those things, u can't beat Tyson with skill, there's only one way to beat Tyson and only busta Douglas has the answer!!!
Or u could wait til he gets old and like lewis
We already saw this fight. It was called Mike Tyson vs Marvis Frazier.
Haye wouldn't make it out of the first minute let alone the first round.....and I'm a haye fan!
No discussion, no vote for Haye here!
