Oh really? Like none of what you've posted in the endless post fight threads has been about defending Haye? :LOLATYOU:
Like I said, Haye deserves everything that's coming his way, he brought it on himself, as for negative posts and threads about him. I haven't gone overboard posting threads about him, i'm just countering some uncalled-for bullshit by Haye and his fans and, telling it the way I see it..
You'd have to show me what i've been defending?
Barring the accusation that he's a coward, which is pathetic, I haven't defended anything else.
This thread you've started was about Haye making tons of money. I agreed with you.
Have I ever denied he lost? No.
Did I defend the toe excuse? No.
I don't believe his performance was as horrible as most. I don't think I was conned.
I enjoyed the whole event.
Not sure what you're getting at? I guess you can't prove half of British fans thought he was the next Lennox Lewis then?
I was entertained by by the fight, but that was only because Wlad dominated. As for Haye's performance, fer christ sakes man, he landed 6 punches a round, less than half of the 13 he averaged in the Valuev stinker, and fell down about 12 times, how was it not Horrible? Especially in view of the fact that he'd been talking continuous shit about how he was going to decapitate Wlad for months prior to the fight, then fought like a douche.
As for my LL comment that was figurative more then anything, it just seemed like 1/2 of British boxing fans had this chump overrated to the hilt, and were betting on him, and predicting that he'd KO Wlad within a couple rounds. What did the pre-fight polls for this fight look like in the UK?
Well you are wrong.
Sorry if I enjoyed it.
Oh and your punchstats are wrong (although they all could be considering two seperate souces have differing numbers). I believe Haye threw not landed only 13 punches per round against Valuev. Hope this helps.

I make an hilarious comment about you guys having a fighter called Hyperbole Jesus and that the best you can respond with? You make David Haye's counter attacks look venomous ;D

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
Very true post , at the end haye duked a bunch of us and got paid bank !! Props to the guy if that was his goal, just depends on how you want to make your money and how bad you want it i guess. Floyd and pac make big bucks from winning but if screwing fans and wasting a lot of people time is your way more power to ya. The cash will spend all the same. The klitch's do nothing but win and they are repaid by being treated like shit and blamed for thier opponets being garbage..... so who knows. Tons of great fighters who laid it all out for the love the fans that couldn't even afford to watch fights today on ppv.

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
I don't know man. It's done, we all know what went down. I don't get punched in the face for a living so can only judge him as a boxing fan. He's gotta live with it and it's as frustrating as hell to have a fav fighter, see him get the oppurtunity of a lifetime and then instead of going all out and try to be true to his word he lays a big steamy pile in there. The toe thing, he knows that was dumb and so do his people. Guys have battled thru broken hands, dislocated shoulders, busted jaws, ears hanging off there head, half blind, bullets in them, broken noses and even wearing the wrong damn socks for crying out loud!!! My only prob with him is he trumped himself up to a Mayweather, Roy Jones jr degree and in the end he couldn't even find the metal of a Chris Byrd to battle back on Wlad. Then again Byrd did end up getting pulverized so yeh. That and the cringe worthy "Charlie bit my finger" type of lame excuse. It's not like he was given the descision or a draw and he's backed off the bs and said he layed a terd so he's gotta shoulder it. Hopefully he'll go forth and live up to his namesake and believe in power and add some sparks, or get sparked but just rumble young man rumble.
-
Sure Haye's fans got jobbed but Hell even guys like me that hate David Haye got short changed!!! Due to David's lack of effort he didn't get KO'd.

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
Jesus.... when did this fight turn into a British V America debate ???
Klitchhsko... Ukkaine...are you missing something ???
Our American friends never did quite get over Lennox winning all the titles... NEWSFLASH >>>>> Yes you guys have dominated the Heavyweight scene but it's not yours on a plate. Lennox Lewis although flawed proved himself the best of his time.
Yeah the Brits go 'All in' when one of ours fight for the title and why not ? Is it wrong to back your home fighter ?
I'm personally pissed off with people slagging Haye off when they have no idea about boxing, had three people today saying they could have beat Klitchsko and the closest they have been to a ring is an onion ring with their take away.
Pretty much all of Klitchkos fights have been 'I'll Jab, Jab, Jab, Jab till the other guy is shot and then maybe risk going for the finish' At least Haye made him FIGHT ?
Yep Haye talked smack before the fight - tactics - he's fighting a guy over 2 stone heavier - 6ft 7inch in height and about 3 inch reach advantage... took a few solid hits on the chin and stayed in there... Haye is a Lightheavy at a push but still made the Champ go 12....
Awww shit I've had a beer or two.... Laters !

I'm glad you've been drinking because your post made 0 sense given how the fight played out. "Made Wlad fight" :vd: ....shit Haye did fuck all man.
I was giving the Brits a hard time because us Americans caught hell for supporting Jeff Lacy and Lacy #1 Didn't talk half as much shit as Haye and #2 Lacy made no excuses and took his beating like a man.
Haye is a punk FACT, I hope he has fun on the next season of 'Big Brother'

So Klit wasnt more aggressive in this fight ? Haye is a Cruiserweight who fought at Heavy and blew it on his biggest night... agreed. He's not a punk.

I used to hate it when detractors called Holyfield a blown up Cruiserweight. Its not the size of the dog its the...well you know the rest.

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
You guys STILL fighting over Haye? Man.... I was pissed the first day or so, but I'm over it now. Life goes on, and the heavyweight division is back in the shit hole it's been for the past decade, it seems like.
So Haye hyped his way into a big money fight and then proceeded to flop and disgrace himself all the way to the finish line. Big fukking deal. At least he didn't get any money off of ME.
;D
Aww... who gives a shit by now. Haye fans will continue to say they're so proud that their man lasted the 12 rounds, paying no attention to how disgracefully he got there. The rest of us will continue to feel cheated out of a potentially great, division-saving fight. What Haye fans don't realize is.... Haye is not without talent. Had he put out a real effort, instead of climbing into the ring scared shitless and throwing half a dozen punches per round, we would have all respected him more at the end, regardless of the outcome.
Since fukking WHEN is boxing about lasting the 12 rounds so you can go home and count your money? Boxing used to be about two men, two warriors, trying their hardest to WIN. You remember the concept, don't you Haye fans? Win?
So he's to be applauded 'cause he talked all his shit, and then flopped around and gave us a shameful spectacle? I'm also pissed at Wlad, 'cause regardless of what his style is...... he didn't come out to make Haye pay for his shit-talking, like he promised he would.
All in all, a sad day for boxing. And like I've said NUMEROUS times on here.... I wasn't rooting for any particular fighter. I just wanted a good fight. Had I paid PPV for the damn thing, THEN I'd be pissed.
But whatever...... another work week begins, and the fight will soon enough be swept into the closet of forgotten fights, memorable only to those pathetic fans who blindly found something to be happy and proud of in their man's performance.
The rest of us will keep hoping against all odds that someday a good heavyweight fight will bring back fans' interest in boxing. Hmmm.... come to think of it, I can't wait till the Klitschkos retire. THEN maybe the mediocre bunch of losers that is the rest of the division can come out from hiding and have some competitive fights between them.
Whatever.

How was anyone that enjoyed the night a "gulliable nitwit?" That doesn't make sense. Wlad is universally recognised as a "boring" fighter. Has this somehow changed after his performance Saturday?
The only people fooled were guys expecting a Rocky fight. Simple as.
The key word in that Dempsey quote is FIGHTING. If you're running, you're scared and trying to survive, you don't want to be in or near the ring and that's how Haye acted.
The (now 2) major fight(s) in which Wlad is considered boring happen to be against boxers that simply didn't want to fight him Ibragimov and now Haye. Haye mouthed off for over 2 years about how he was brash and exciting and don't you dare try and deny it or try and reason it out as purely a means of advertising, that's a bullshit excuse for a bullshit fighter. Haye ran away, Wlad didn't clinch, Wlad didn't run, Wlad was measured in his attack but Haye wanted Wlad to stand in front of him and Wlad obliged and the only excuse we get for the lack of effort from Haye was "I've got a broken toe"....childish and pathetic. Sell it somewhere else!
What happened to the more "agressive" Wlad? You promised he would make the fight exciting by punishing Haye for his antics. Did we get that? NO.
Wlad threw a dozen more power punches than Haye. He was the same old safety first bore he always is.
This fight turned out like all Wlad's others - people moaning about it being BORING. Just lucky for him Haye is taking the blame because he didn't match his trash-talk. Simple as.
Wlad hunted Haye all fuckin' night long but it is quite hard to fight agressive with a guy who spend half of the time running and the other half flat on his ass for ghostly reasons.

It's hard to imagine Haye getting a rematch with Wlad anytime soon, but my guess is the same gulliable nitwits who were suckered in, and wasted PPV money on Haye's shit sandwich last time, will be back licking his nuts and pissing their money away on him again next year.

And I told my friends "This is a heavyweight fight worth watching, someone's getting knocked out"

So much for adding new fans to the sport.
I got such gracious responses as:
"What the fuck was that?"
"I can never get that hour back"
"That cornrow douchebag is a fuckin pussy"
"What's the point of boxing anymore?"
"Who was that Ivan Drago guy?"
"Did you hear MMA has a bantamweight division now?"
"Are all fights that lame nowadays?"
"I wish HBO had MMA instead of boxing"
"I missed Women's World Cup replay for that?"
Yeah, my bad for expecting at least an exciting finish from this, what a load of shit of a fight. I guess it's been so long since there has been a remotely entertaining HW title fight.....................I expected too much and bought into the hype. Well next a good PPV comes on, I'll be watching with you d-bags on here again instead of real life friends. Can't blame Haye for the hustle, everyone wants that dollar, and he wouldn't get anymore facing anyone else.

Killer, it's obvious your real life buds (forgive them, 'cause they know not what they do) aren't hardcore boxing scumbags like your buds here.
It's too bad they couldn't have seen a better example of boxing, but from the sounds of it they aren't likely to ever be boxing fans anyway.

They're casual boxing fans (or at least they were at some point). They aren't looking for the sweet science as much as a purely entertaining fight. Personally, I try to get whomever I can to watch more boxing, because that is something the sport needs is more viewership stateside. This fight didn't help my case, in fact it hurt it.

Yeah saddly plenty of casual fans saw this and are probably turned off boxing for a bit, where as not many saw ortiz-berto, or morales-maidana those fights would have gained boxing some fans...but no seems like all the big fights lately, the ones the the casual viewer would know about, been mismatches or borring

Big fights rarely live up to the hype, this fight was hyped to the max, mainly by Haye. A bunch of us were saying before the fight, that this could end up being somewhat of a disappointment if it went the 12 round distance and didn't end with a KO. None of my real life friends are boxing fans, but there is a big interest in boxing all over the U.S., I know this because the only reason some guys have HBO and Showtime is to watch boxing.

You can hate on haye as much as you like,But the simple fact is that heavyweight boxing would be even worse if haye retires.
Yes he lost and openly admitted he didnt back up his talk,But what about wlad who had he's best night's work and still looked shocking....Wlad wont take a rematch because he know's second time round,Haye would take him out.

Like I said it's my bad for believing the hype, clearly I should know better. I just figured one of them was going to get KOed spectacularly, even if most of the fight was boring. The last time I thought an entertaining fight was coming for two Americans, I almost tried to sell the bait too (Bradley/Alexander) but thought of it better when trying meeting up with friends.

Wlad won't take the rematch cuz he doesn't want to receive oral sex from Haye. You can tell Wlad was thinking "damn this fool gets on his knees more than Hayden use too"

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
There is no way Haye will get a rematch unless he can somewhat redeem himself with a good win over a arreola, thompson or povetkin. No Network would buy a fight between haye and either Klitschko at this point.

Yes he lost and openly admitted he didnt back up his talk,But what about wlad who had he's best night's work and still looked shocking....Wlad wont take a rematch because he know's second time round,Haye would take him out.
Wlad won't take the rematch cuz he doesn't want to receive oral sex from Haye.
:vd:
It's still on your mind I see. :-\
Haye's pathetic attempt at winning the championship is still on a lot of people's mind. True boxing fans are doing the right thing and bad mouthing him for the pitiful attempt. The ones that approve of his usage of the "UK style" to win the fight are not.

Yep, and now he kicks off Sports Illustrated's list of 25 Lame and Weird Excuses.

Of course the fight is still being talked about? ??? It happened less than a week ago... What you expect? We're not gold fish  jesus...
I don't know of any body who wasn't dissapointed with the fight or Haye's performance.
Oh and the reason a sizeable ammount of Brits actually wanted to see HAYE sparked was because his attitude goes against the grain of british boxing... So do his training methods, his tactics, his boxing style and pretty much anything about him.
For every brit you can name who is even remotely similar to Haye, I'll name 10 who aren't.
But yeah... He uses the 'uk style'... lol, you really are fucking clueless.

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
It's hilarious how few non partisan posts have been made about this fight. It sucked, both fighters could have done a lot more, but Haye ultimately has to bear the onus for this as he fell way behind and didn't really do anything proactive to try and turn it around. There isn't much more to talk about, but I guess that's what really has people sour over this, no prospects in the division:confused:

The problem with heavyweights is the problem with all of boxing. Fighters are increasingly wary of actually testing themselves. Everyone wants to keep their 0's they don't want a challenge and that has significantly stunted the heavyweight division. There's a difference between guiding a fighter to a title and "protecting" a fighter...Robert Helenius is being guided, Alexander Povetkin was being guided and is now being protected, Nicolay Valuev has ALWAYS been protected. This is why guys like Monte Barrett and Ray Austin can get bigger fights, they are WILLING to risk losing in order to advance their careers.
Just my 2 cents, but I'm sure some smart ass will reply about how I'm always posting about the heavyweights or the Klitschko's like I should only ever mention either brother on the days of their fights and not before or after.
