That's utter rubbish.

Barrera and Marquez both turned down career high paydays to face Naz (obviously before Barrera accepted). Both their managers are on record saying it. Fact.

IMO he'd of beaten barrera had he put the effort in but its one of those things that no one will ever be sure about

Barrera was just better. Hamed looked very much in shape going in. And he stated several times that he indeed was in the best shape of his career going into the Barrera fight. Fact.

So all that bullshit about Hamed not being in shape was just that. Bullshit. Bullshit that the Hamed followers lie about cuz they can't accept the fact that he got punked by a past his prime Barrera.

It always seemed to me, that because of Hamed's unorthodox style, the 1st really talented, world class, boxer/puncher that came along would school him. Which as it turned out, was exactly what happened.

Bottom line: Hamed was another case of an overhyped fighter, with little real boxing skill, who got exposed.

Hamed vs Kelly is still my favorite fight. No one fought quite like Hamed so he was exciting to watch. I enjoy watching him fight more than Barerra.
