WHAT'D I MISS?
[Off to read the thread]

I'm pulling against Vernon Paris because he's a fucking idiot.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Vernon Paris' voice annoys me. So I dislike him.

....Yes, I'm betting he's the kind of person that eats "Skrimp" and goes to the "Skrip Club" :vd:

Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Coleman really looks like Bradley's little brother.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Despite all my criticisms of Mora so far, I have to give him that his analysis during the fights has been very good.
They both look like they want hurt each other. Nice.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
OH BOY!
Was Coleman wobbled there at the end?
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Coleman got hurt twice there at the end of the round.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Ohhh Mini Tim got wobbled at the bell. Right on the chin
-
Why on Earth would anyone want to stab and/or shoot Vernon Paris....I just can't imagine

Paris looks like Omar's 1st boyfriend from The Wire. The one who got tortured & had his eye blasted out & got left in the low-rises.
Great 1st round
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
If Paris will move his feet consistently I don't think Coleman can stay with him.
PS and if Paris doesn't? he'll get dropped ;)

THAT was funny!

Re: FNF thread for August 5th
This might be the worst crowd I can remember at a fight. They're getting a fantastic little fight & are acting like they're watching Zaheer Raheem highlights.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
It's fascinating these two were trained by the Mayweathers. This fight LOOKS like the fights before WWI that went 20+ rounds. Slow pace, not a ton of movement, good upper body technique.
Old OLD school.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Sergio Mora isn't exactly the most critical guy. Everyone's world class.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
A KD for Coleman, who knew, despite the KD, Paris looks to have the better power.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Paris looks like he'll be bald headed sooner rather than later.
Both these guys pose way to much. Getting gritty inside
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Even though Coleman has the KD Paris definitely looks like the heavier puncher. Coleman looks like a guy with 5 KO's in 19 wins.

They don't like that fucked up hat he wears.

Re: FNF thread for August 5th
2-1 Paris. Am I nuts?
28-28.

Exactly what I was thinking. I remember we were talking about the lack of great teachers when it comes to craft nowadays. This fight is showing what happens when you get taught that by those teachers. If this fight carrys on like this & lasts the full 10, I can already say it will be my personal FOTY. Some great skills on display.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
If everyone will just STAY at 140? That's one heck of a division.
manny really oughtta drop to 140 and go after those guys.

That's one good thing about him, he's not hypercritical, but he can't be because he's a boxer and he sucks.
Paris reminds me of that douchebag that was on FNF a week or so ago that made the guy do the somersault

The precision of their feet and hands is really, really good.
PS I said that BEFORE Sergio did!

Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Paris may be annoying with a mute worthy voice but he's not a bad fighter. Both guys are pretty competent.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
3-1 Paris
38-37
That last round was really tight though.

They're both reading each other so well. There was a great moment in that 4th when Paris threw a jab upstairs to drop a left hook to the body. Coleman had already brought his hands down to take that shot & come back with a little left uppercut. To read your opponents intentions like that is just fantastic, especially because it didn't look an obvious shot.
-
Oh an in honor of Floyd Sr....
The word of the day is: SARCADOSIS ;D
Sergio I find you offensive ....yeah go out there and get beat decisively, I'd enjoy that!

It really is fun watching fighters THINK in the ring isn't it?

Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Colemans acting tired. He really telegraphs. Paris finds life and juuust misses some game changing right hands
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
I'm at 3-2 Paris so the fight is even.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
When Paris moves his feet he takes control.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
This is a GREAT attempt to finish! Over and under, deliberate, keeping his distance and taking angles.
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Paris didn't QUITE finish him, but boys and girls THAT is how it is done!
-
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
The power difference has just been huge. Coleman can hit him with his best punch and it doesn't matter because he just doesn't have much power.
