He's trying to do that at least, he isn't exactly known for his power.

Not only is the fight pretty good so far...... but there's some fine-looking women in the first few rows.

He's fighting here like he's a one and done body shot ko artist. No set up...kinda lazy here in 5th

He's letting Pabon open up, probably be another round until the pressure comes back.

Hope so. If he puts his punches together and stops talking to the crowd and Pabon, this fights over.

You saw that, that was freaky. Had a pronounced line running to base of skull after his head hit canvas too

Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Immediate reactions:
1. Entertaining fight. One-sided... but entertaining.
2. Huge difference in hand speed.
3. Pabon's punches were doing nothing to Guzman. Hence no respect.
4. What's with the major wardrobe malfunctions on Pabon? Thing was riding up close to his chest. Thought he was going to accidentally moon the public.
5. Did I mention the fine-looking specimens at ringside?
-
Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Boooooo here's the worst part of tonights show. :puke:

Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
don't think it's wrong to think that that might go down as a candidate for KO of the Year, it was a brutal shot

Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Dobey is wound up tight, got that adrenalin going for sure.

Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Why do they still count these worthless trinkets. Good on ESPN for going with a swing bout instead of signing off "early"
Shannon briggs in background looks like friggin house with dreads

Nice to see that Shannon Briggs is alive and kicking, he's a likable dude.

I want to see a "sportscenter 10pm" forum right now with people moaning about "stupid boxing is running long" ;D;D

Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
This fight is about to get ugly.

Been to a few boxing cards live here in P.R., and you always see more than a few beauties, particularly in the first few rows. I'm soooo glad boxing is popular with the ladies.

Hahaha..... (ouch!)
No, but Shannon did appear to greet a trio of female fans a while ago who weren't too shabby. Shannon himself appears to be eating pretty well.

yeah, a lot of them really seem to like boxing, which I agree, makes going to and watching fights a lot more pleasurable. :p

Can you do a rbr? I'll be out during the day.
For short hand you can use the music symbol for repeat :ll

Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Havent read the thread but here are my thoughts...
I wasn't impressed by Joan I mean his skill set is there but I just wasn't impressed.
Times caught up to him IMO his shots were sooooo fucken telegraphed that anyone with good reflexes and movement would make him miss.
The opponents was pretty much there for the taking from the get go.

Ha! I figure it will be a simple fight to score, i'd be amazed if Mormeck wins a single round and if Wlad can't get him outta of there in 6 rounds are less, it's going to be a terminally boring fight.
I get what you're saying about hitting repeat. :-X

I'd love to see Guzman get clowned by somebody like "Bam-Bam" Rios, but he doesn't seem to want to fight anyone who would be competitive with him. He either needs to move up in class or fucking retire, I have no interest in seeing Guzman fight 'cans.

Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Good knockout by Guzman, still do not like him.
Love te Cotto interview.
-
Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Guzman is 35 and clearly past his prime.

I didn't bother listening to Guzman's post fight interview last night, but did he say he was making any effort toward fighting one of the top dogs at 140?
-
Re: ESPN's FNF thread for March 2nd - Guzman vs Jesus
Guzman looked spectacular in ending the fight. Everyone could see that kid was intimdated from the get go and really not very competitive.
Guzman vs. Judah or Guzman vs. Morales would be competitive and good fights.
Guzman vs. Khan, Bradley, Alexander, Holt, would probably all be bad for Guzman.
He might be able to beat Holt, I don't know.

Agreed. Guzman needs to step up his competition level or there is no point in Guzman's comeback.
