If we all juast make declarative posts then there's no actual interaction, is there? You can argue that up is down and I can say that down is down and that's that, but surely it's better for me to ask you why you think up is down? Have a little conversation instead of just posting statements?
Yeah but you are the Obama of Saddo policy posters. I know that we've been doing this long enough and that I pretty much know your narrative on most topics but you do a lot more attacking of people's viewpoints than supporting or even really giving your own.

...If only there was some sort of chart or graph to show this

Sometimes its purely a matter of economizing time. Kirk will dick dance around for 3-4 posts with pointed questions before posting a substantive point that we all knew was coming and he could have just stated up front.

To tell you the truth, if the majority of Americans want an unqualified to lead clown like BO as their "president", I could care less. I just wanna be there to hear the "epic" excuses when the once great America finishes going down the toilet, and be able to say: "we tried to tell you, but you wouldn't listen."
When you sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas, and in BO's case, you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
What is Obama going to do in the next four years to make things as bad as they were when he took over? What do you think he should do over the next four years to make things better?
It's basically just that simple, mars.
While on the other hand, the people got what you are offering, "Going into another depression." "Gas going to be 7 dollars" "It's going into the toilet" I mean, it just keeps going on and on and means virtually nothing. Just empty right win media driven talking points. If you were so smart you could tell the future you wouldn't be sitting here on Saddos, you'd be on your yacht cruising the world or doing whatever it is old rich white people do....but guess what, you're not. You're sitting here at 1 o'clock on a Tuesday, arguing with some kid from Canada while spouting marginally racist bs like "magic mullato" and it's because of those "blacks", and claiming it is no skin off your ass.
Honestly, are these the words and actions of a "no skin off my ass' reality? Sounds like skin to me.
Maybe if the Republicans could ever come up with decent plan to give people, instead of "Trust me, elect me and I'll fill you in later." Bush tried that before remember, and it worked, it was called the war on Iraq and WMDs. And it helped sink your country to the depths it fell. But now people are catching on. So maybe if they can come up with a decent candidate, and plan, and not try to drive things their way with fear and out and out lies, there might be an alternative for those that don't agree with the Democrats.
Sounds good, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

Oh never, Kirkland would never be linked with someone so "Right wing" as Barack Obama

Right wing media points? No, that's just me and my opinion, you can take it or leave it, why do you give a shit what I think anyway? As for me being on my computer at 1:00 PM in the afternoon at Saddos, I also conduct much of my business online at the same time, this forum is just about entertainment. I might add that I do quite well, not rich by any stretch, but let's just say i'm comfortable.
As for your blither about me being "marginally racist", yeah right, I found out a long time ago that anyone disagreeing in any way with a liberal is a "racist", that race mongering innuendo means fuck all.

Come now, are you surprised at that after the bullshit I had to put up with (from the poster in question)because he thought what I posted was "racist"? Apparently to today's liberal "racism" has less to do with race and more to do with the disagreeing or mocking of policital viewpoints...if we're using the old fashioned definition of racism then how would the liberals explain away calling any person of color that supports Republicans 'Uncle Tom' or 'House N****r'?
The lefties are always so understanding and all inclusive.....until you disagree with them and then they start the mud slinging and name calling. I'm glad they take the time to call me a racist for saying "Your boy" but when Democrat Robert Byrd was representing West Virginia nobody called him a racist for being in the fucking KKK...odd how that works out isn't it?

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Apples and oranges with that Lyle . Mars here isn't quite so subtle. And this is about the behavior on this board, not what somebody does somewhere else.
Mars,
Sorry about saying marginally. Meant outright racist. People are not being racist for being right or left wing, they are being racist for referring to people by the color of their skin in derogatory ways. Only one brings this shit here is you. We are talking about it because you bring it up. Because you, are a racist. I already know you aren't very bright so I don't expect you to fully grasp the concept, but, ya know...that's just like, as you say, me and my opinion man.
But the good news for you is this. After the next 4 years you likely won't have to worry about a black man in the office any more. The chances are fairly decent it could be a latino or woman.

Oh so I'm "subtle" with my racism then? Well Huzzah then  ....I feel 100% better now that this is all cleared up.
MAYBE I don't want to vote for the half black guy because he sucks as President? It's not a matter of race but a matter what the man has done while in office and honestly I don't care if he was fucking polka dotted and 1/3rd Unicorn THE MAN SUCKS AT BEING PRESIDENT

Oh please. It shouldn't ever be in the picture or argument. And I didn't introduce it here, Mars has repeatedly. I am addressing it. Your argument carries no weight. "Whoa, dude, you didn't just ignore it, you are calling it out and addressing it...you're no better."
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
What shouldn't be in the argument? I'd agree that Mars use of mulatto detracts from his post but I also don't think he really cares. If you are against racism and bigotry then you should be against it in all cases not just those that support your point of view. Otherwise you really aren't aginst these things at all and selectively choose when to be offended and are pretty much a hypocrite.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Why would you assume I'm not against it across the board? Again, you make no sense and are just throwing forth an assumption.

I've never seen you take issue with slurs for caucasians in the past. Your video suggests that you don't really think racism applies to white people as well. I'll be holding my breath waiting for your retort the next time a pejorative is used for white people.

You mean like anything I've been called?: red neck, hick, hillbilly, white trash, cracker, etc? Those are racist terms??? Hell I thought it was my obligation as a white person to be subjected to those names on account of what my ancestors may have or may not have done to people of color....whatever the reason, I'm white and I deserve to be punished for it

Yea, I can't be in every place in the world it happens at every second, or even on this board for that matter. To assume otherwise is not only short-sighted, but closing in on stupid. But I am involved in these election talks, and I have been for awhile, and this wasn't Mars first time...it was a continuing process. I had hoped if we just all ignored it he would stop, you know, kind of like you do with a child, not support the negative bahavior with a reaction. But he hasn't. So I spoke. Again, your argument carries no weight.

So if I said "Obama is half a hillbilly" your reply would be?

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
lol what, that doesn't even make sense. I'll tell you what Lyle, the next time someone calls you a derogatory term, send me a PM and I'll come give my thoughts, much like I did when I defended you when someone suggested you were forever trying to push your religion on people.

#1 Barack Obama is biracial: half black & half white, so if I were to call him "half a hillbilly" would it be as racist as someone talking about the half of him that is black?
#2 Religion? When was this? I recall no such thing. I don't push my religion on anyone.
I will let you know when I am called a redneck or hillbilly or cracker again, I'm certain it's on the way
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Lyle, someone suggested you did push your religion, and I happened to be there...and jumped in, and said in all my time here I had never seen you do that. I call it like I see it Lyle. It's that simple.
To make the argument that it happens other places and I'm not there to pipe in, is clearly one of the worst arguments I have ever seen. No one can be everywhere. And even if one could, we'd still be wise how to choose our battles. RE: ignore Mars, maybe he'll stop strategy.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
I must go though. I have battles on other fronts to fight! My people need me...
I'll be back later tonight for the butthurt dance when the numbers roll in.
Peace.

Hey man I've been called names all over this website odds are you've seen SOMETHING.
I don't remember the religion bit, but thanks for being there for me.
I just like a common sense approach is all...I voted, I didn't vote for Obama and it's not because he's half black, it's because he sucks as President.

I'd say your initial reponse and posted video are a pretty clear indicator of your indifference to racial remarks made towards whites. But just keep posting that my argument is w/o merit if that makes you feel better.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Your argument is without merit. Keep defending racism, if it makes you feel better.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread

Oh how Saul Alinksky of you. What racism did I defend exactly? I simply pointed out the board regularly uses racial slurs and your post suggested that you only think its racist if its about a minority. Unlike you my friend I don't believe in using racial slurs no matter whom they are targeted at.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Your point is, It happens. so hey, let's let it happen. Gotcha.
My point is, no, it's not cool. Nor should it be tolerated. And yea, if you keep jumping into arguments when it pops up fighting for it to remain, or try to justify it some way then you are effectively defending racism.
If it doesn't begin in the first place, then we have no problem. So stamp it out at it's source. How fucking hard is that?
So lets talk about how horrible a job the president has done and totally sucks, or what a douchenozzle liar Romney is, ya know, the shit that will really matter in how the economy will recover or how govt works.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
"Your point is, It happens. so hey, let's let it happen. Gotcha. " No that is not my point.
"And yea, if you keep jumping into arguments when it pops up fighting for it to remain, or try to justify it some way then you are effectively defending racism. " No I didn't defend it or justify it.
YB your entire perception of my posti is incorrect. I in no way endorsed Mars statement. I simply pointed out that the board is a bit hypocritical in regards to slurs to which your response suggested you don't care about pejoratives used for white people.

So i'm a racist who isn't very bright? Gosh youngblood, I can't tell you how much that hurts coming from an ass-raped, race mongering, Canadian liberal.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Well sit tight Mars, it gets better. The Democrats will be in office for 4 more years.
VC,
My point stands. Don't make the racial statements period. Don' look for excuses for it. Don't justify it by quantity or frequency in surroundings, and just don't, first and for most....start it. Then all of us won't be talking or arguing about it.
"OMG white people get racist stuff too!!" Isn't much of an argument which I tried to illustrate, even if it is true to an extent. No, someone calling someone a backwoods no toothed hick is not ok either. So stamp it out, just like where it happened here, and what has been happening, and it stops.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
You are making a lot of mistaken inferences from my post.
"My point stands. Don't make the racial statements period. Don' look for excuses for it. Don't justify it by quantity or frequency in surroundings, and just don't, first and for most....start it. ""OMG white people get racist stuff too!!" Isn't much of an argument which I tried to illustrate" I didn't say that and wasn't making any argument at all. Again I was pointing out the double standard found on this board, nothing less nothing more.

Okay, my bad, I am a bit emotional with lack of sleep and thought it was a personal. I do think this place needs to start moderating it more. I know it doesn't want to lose members, but I remember a time when I joined here it didn't get too far and people were sent for the door when it began. Or maybe given a cooling off period to think about it.
We need to get back there.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Hey Mars, if you don't want a thread on the election to be about race...then don't bring race into it.
You see how that works?

Or is it just the fact you got 4 more years of having a Democrat in the oval office?
Forward, yo.
