I'm not getting the HBO feed tonight. Let me know who wins the replay.

This was a hell of a fight, Marquez ability to come back from punishment is fucking amazing.
Great fight between 2 consummate pros.

I have mixed feelings about a Pac-JMM V, but I know if it happens i'd be watching it.

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
After seeing the replay I'm even more confident that Pacman will come back stronger and will again pick him to beat Marquez in a fifth fight.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
And I thought the whole planking fad had run its course :-X. Personally hope no 5th happens
If you have too much time on your hands, watch this replay with top half of screen blocked and only viewing legs, placement. Telling.

Nah. That knock out is staying with Pacquiao for awhile. They fight again, I think Marquez stops him even sooner

You seem to be talking in riddles lately, what the heck do you mean?

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
On to the live main event, 150 miles down the road from me in Houston, Texas. Arce will have the crowd on his side. Lamps, Merchant, and RJJ calling the action for HBO.
:drinker:

Hes clearly the one that can make adjustments. Whats Manny going to do...walk in harder and more open? Play boxer with one of the top technical counter punchers we know?
I don't know about earlier but Marquez can match his strength. Manny was literally off balance often and leashed into big shots here. He should rematch Bradley.

Lately? I'm 5 years deep with riddles on here ;D
Mannys legs and rythem looked like shate. I think he needs to do some serious thinking about future

I see Pac trying to shake the nightmare of the knock out by swallowing his fear and coming out hard at Marquez with everything he has. That suicide attack will have him sleeping before the 3rd round

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Are you fucking kidding me, we have to watch that incompetent asshole Lawrence Cole ref this fight.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Donaire needs some Spanx for that paunch. Looks like hes once again loading up trying to make the latenight highlight reel
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Donaire looks fucking huge compared to Arce.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Like a man fighting a boy. Pretty noticeable size difference.

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread

Arce has always been a favorite of mine. That knockdown was pretty predictable. As soon as Arce opens up, I think it's over buy he's doing better in this third round. Donaire's stronger! You would think anyways he's being pushed around and being passive on the ropes.

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Oh well, time to switch channels.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
As expected. Donaire is a murderer at this weight.
-
Not Fighter of the Year on beating an old blown up Arce, but it was a good performance and 4th in one year! That has to merit the honor I think. Lawrence Cole is an idiot by the way. But yeah kind of an inevitable result. He also has two candidates for KO of the Year but not a prayer of winning it lol
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Arce lasted longer than I thought he would
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Did anyone not see that coming :D
Nice going for what it was, just a showcase.
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Officially a 3rd round KO for Donaire.
Nice to see and hear from my fellow Texan "Big George" Foreman. :)

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Gotta love Big George, glad to hear him encouraging the Pacman to come back. Big George is with me :D
I thought Arce would land a lottery punch too but I guess those are very rare. :p

Jorge was much smaller physically, and Donaire's skill level and punching power were superior.
Arce really didn't have much of a chance in this fight, a mismatch actually.

Yea, seems like Arce just wanted to go out fighting his friend Donaire. It was granted and glad he didn't get hurt too badly. Arce is a warrior, thanks for the fights Arce! You crazy bastard! ;D
Quick Note: Arce is the guy who destroyed the last guy to ever drop Pac. Hussein drop pac with a jab :p

You're talking about Nedal Hussein who dropped Pac. Arce fought Hussein Hussein, Nedal's brother. Fyi

Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
Donaire is a fine Champion, and he was way to much for Arce that last left hook on his jaw was a
great finishing punch, I feel Nonito does not get the credit he deserves, a very underrated fighter.;)
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce Saturday night fight/chat thread
I said I was going to miss this one and I stayed true to my word. It was always going to be a mismatch and by all accounts it was. Pointless fight.
I would say the same about the Khan fight too. Just horrible matchmaking and thus no reason to watch either.

Looked more like a slaughter house, Arce was doomed!
I wonder how many weight classes Nonito will hack his way through?

Have to agree with you, but I was expecting more of the same from the JMM vs PacMan 4, and look what happened.
Man, I do love boxing, you can never be absolutely sure when fists are flying!

Absolutely. But, the fight was still exciting for the 8 minutes it lasted.

If he keeps fighting war torn former lt flyweights, he'll put Jason and Freddy to shame.
His posing still bugs me. Waits for the glory shots too much. Glad he named Mares, when pushed, that needs to happen.
