Easy Groves round, but most of them power punches missed. Bit of a wasteful round really, there is no need to be throwing 50 power punches in a first round and miss most of them.
Better from Johnson in that round, but Groves was good too.

Yep. Total robbery. Johnson's 2 landed punches per round were clearly the more effective punches. I gave the rope a dope round 10-6 to Johnson. That was an obvious strategy and 80% of the punches were blocked. Thus an easy Johnson round.Quote:

Groves did look decent, but this was a shell of Glenn Johnson who apparently got more beaten up in his last fight. 4 losses on the trot for Johnson and no win over a top fighter in years. Green was never a top fighter.

Personally, I dont think Groves or DeGale are going to have a great impact on the division. Their best chance at a title is Abraham, they dont beat Ward, Kessler or Froch. Maybe go for Abraham, defend against a few old names, like Magee, Pavlik etc and wait for the others to get older. They just arent as good. Both seem fragile to punchers and with the exeption of Ward who has been dropped by light punchers, all the decent super middles have had very good chins.
Groves should fight either dirrells. Then we will be able to put his name with Abraham froch ward
This was a good win on Groves' climb up the super middleweight ladder. He did what he was supposed to do and he did it easier than Fonfara, or Froch. Abraham is a good fight for Groves so is Stieglitz etc.
