Mcrory thinks Crolla is defending well? I reckon crolla fell short or missed with a few too many shots. As. Long as it's a a round or two either way it would be hard to argue with.

I think Crolla did just enough to win the fight ...However he needs to step it up to get further in the division.
I think the main decision that has been agreed tonight is that the Sky commentary was a shambles. Those two head clashes that cut up Rees didn't help either.
Sky seemed to be predicting the end of Rees' career from very early on in the fight, as if it was written in the stars.Quote:

I thought Crolla won it, but at times Sky made it sound like Rees was getting the crap beaten out of him. I predicted Crolla would win this a few months ago, he is massively underrated and is really good at slipping in and out.
Not sure he deserves the Burns fight, but I've never thought Burns was 'all that' so I wouldn't exactly be stunned if Crolla beat him.
As for Sky, they're shit at commentary.Jim Watt is particularly awful and I'm not looking forward to him later on. Saying that, Sky have a guy called Nick Halling, and his commentary on the Mattheysse fight and the Stevenson-Dawson fight was some of the best I've ever heard. The guy just replicates the excitement you feel watching Martin Tyler do football. You've got to have the passion for it and this is something Adam Smith, Jim Watt, Glenn McCrory and Johnny Nelson do not convey.
I also think Ian Darke is very good. But my god the rest are a disgrace.Quote:

I like Nick Halling, he seems to get many of the lesser known sports that happen over in the US, in fact he's commentating on Golovkin v Macklin and the undercard right now. He used to be on the NFL coverage for Sky Sports, and was always a bit more fun than the dry guys they've replaced him with.
I thought Crolla did enough to win that one. It was a decent fight though. I could see Crolla fighting Burns but I still think Derry Matthews should have another fight with him if he gets through his next fight.

Ian Darke is my favourite boxing commentator. He really does know his stuff and brings a whole lot of excitement and enthusiasm to his commentary.Quote:

Jim Watt is by far the worst commentator out there. He is just awful and seems to spend half his time slagging fighters off and has a really sneering, nasty feel about him.
Quigg absolutely mullers Frampton. He just keeps improving. I have always rated him and closely followed his career, but even I am surprised at his ability to keep that sharp on 7 months of sparring. Smith Dodson was a great scrap and Crolla got Rees on the way down the hill. Don't think Anthony goes any further though to be honest. Burns would tee off on him all night if he cant take it up a gear.
Its too hard to know. I believe Frampton hits harder then Quigg and I dont think Quigg has a great chin. Quigg is probably faster and has better shot selections.Quote:

The super bantomweight division in Britain is awesome at the minute with Frampton, Quigg and Galahad all looking class. Also expect Kal Yafai to come into the division at some stage as well as Jaime Mc Donnell.
I still think Frampton has more strings to his bow and can adapt his style to suit his opponent. He also hits harder than Quigg and I'm not particularly convinced by Quigg's chin. Frampton is a more complete fighter and that will tell if and when they meet. I'd go for Frampton by KO.Quote:

Frampton is in no way a more complete fighter than Quigg. He has holes in his defense and thinks he is much better than he actually is.
