Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Well this is the second time it has happened to him. Still Rubio has always proved to be a warrior and I believe he tried his best but his body just couldn't take it. He looked terribly drained and GGG runs through him easy

Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
GGG is going to do a Macklin on him. :)

I actually think Algieri is a live underdog in the Pacquiao fight. Pacquiao's the favorite, but Algieri has got a shot at boxing and moving to a decision. I would say Rubio beating GGG is a bigger upset.
I figure at least one of these fights will end in an upset.
Come on, sir! Who do you think has a bigger chance of losing, or better yet, who do you want to see suffer an upset?
We all know anything can happen in a fight, who do you have doubts about?
Manny is looking old? GGG fights with too much abandon?
I've been calling a Chris Algieri upset since the fight was announced. I think he can out box a Manny that is past his prime, out of shape and taking him lightly.
I've always liked Rubio and I'd love him to win the fight but he hasn't seemed sharp lately and I hear he's having to cut a lot of weight for this fight.
As for Donaire... When was the last time he looked really good in a fight?
It's strange what one loss can do to a fighters confidence, the Rigo fight changed Donaire. He is a '?' now, we'll see tonight. I'm not ready to write him off yet.
Manny has slipped some, but I believe he still has enough.
GGG, with the way he abandons defense when he is attacking is a worriment to me. What do you think?

Over here we've got the Edwin Rodriguez fight at the moment. Looking forward to watch a decent night of boxing, not really had too many opportunities to stay up really late to watch the boxing recently.
GGG is really exciting and looking forward to see him, but maybe Donaire/Walters is probably the most interesting in terms of whose going to win.
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Rodriguez acting like a clown. He's not impressing anyone.
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
It wasnt really the best of fights, quality v toughness, and i guess rodriguez failed by not getting him out of there. Upwards from here!

Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Doanire walking out now :D

I'm going to be really interested to see where Donaires head is at. It seems he is his worst enemy in boxing at this time. If he just wants to spend the fight looking for one punch I'd have to say he is not where he should be. He had a great skill set and was always fun to watch but if he is now a one punch fighter it's a bit lame although I do know some fans who eat that carp out. I'm hoping to see a resurgence of the Filipino Flash. Actually, I just saw him and he is looking pretty good.

I think its too his benefit to have his dad in his corner, but is anyone else wondering if the difference wont be apparent in this fight and see's him being possibly outworked?

Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
PS I don't think GGG has any shot at losing. I'm going out on a limb and guaranteeing that one. GGG will win and it is not even a possibility he won't do so. I have bet a Cuban Montecristo A on this fight and I have absolutely no fear I will not be smoking it tonight

Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
1-0 Walters. Walters better stay on his range don't close, that jab is bothering Donaire. Nice cagey 1st by both
1-1 after two!! Walters gets hit in the balls, presses hard and gets dinged at bell with sharp shot! Donaire cut by punch.
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Donaire has rediscovered his left hand.
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Toe to toe at the end of the 2nd. Donaire hurt Walters big :o
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Walters fighting dumb. Jab gone, thinking ahead of the punch he throws..not instinct OHHH:o
Donaire dropped hard. LOve this shit son
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Walters drops Donaire with 20 seconds left in the third :D they trade top the bell ;D great fight so far :)
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Exciting stuff, neither fighter going into a shell, just meeting fire with fire. Good shot from walters, but not over yet!
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Walters needed that kd. Donaire was starting to not respect his power
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
39-36 Walters, Donaire gathering for a storm in 4th looking for opening
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
I think Walters is starting to break him down, Donaire seems bothered by the eye again as well. Still can't blink though, great fight.
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Walters is doing what he has to do. Which is attack Donaire. But he really leaves himself wide open
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Walters fought the 5th like he wanted to be caught with miracle hook!! Dummy. Bullied Donaire, but he will be caught if he keeps up that close...49-45 Walters
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Donaire still looking to counert punch picture perfect knockouts. At the very least he should using his jab to keep walters off balance and protect that eye. Best tool in the tool box and he still thinks hes too fast to need it. Even if he wins this, his eye will be chop meat. Hes sprinting toward a shortened career.

Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Donaire needs to move down in weight.

Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
I should have bet this one :-X To a tee

Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Great performance, great knockout, great fight. Walters will have a future with that power, but he does get caught often too. Next up a boring pts win.
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Pretty wild finish, fitting for the axe man nickname.
On a side note, it doesn't look like Donaires wife loves him very much:-X
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Donaire was a loss waiting to happen. But I was expecting a points loss where he would look uninterested. I was not expecting him to get wrecked in this fashion
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Kids got a great personality, def be watching as a headliner
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Donaire seems to think that he's strong enough to KO these bigger guys and thinks he's tough enough to trade with them.
He's wrong.
-
Re: Predictions - GGG vs. Rubio?
Walters is a pretty cool dude to, he's definitely a must watch.

Her reaction was like
"Damn. He not gonna be getting the big ass checks any more"
