Floyd will answer that he gave Manny every opportunity to take the fight with the one provision that Manny be clean for their fight and prove it by being tested for drugs in advance of the fight.
The real question is why Manny turned down $50 million if he was a clean fighter.
Does not matter about the answer. The fact is they never fought and that is what people will remember.
So it won't bother him. It'll bother you.

If pac never signed another contract with bob then it would have happened but pac chose bob...over floyd.
I use to believe that, until his daddy told him he didn't want him fighting Pac as well.
Poppa & Uncle put nothing but suspicions in his head- how did a knocked out fighter start knocking everyone else out.
Truth be told, Pac was knocking people out from day one.
My take- if Pac did PED's it was similar to that admitted by Shane- something that enhanced his stamina. (not steroids or something to make him stronger) Pac is heavy handed..since day one.
remember how well Morales outboxed Pac fight one? fight II it was the same thing, until the 6th round. Morales just couldn't keep the pace up and Fight III he quit & said he could have gotten up but it would be to no avail.
JMM has been hit by Pac for 4 fights now, so these once-feather weight fighters have all withstood pac's punches.
Only Hatton was dramatically knocked out. But once again PBF dropped Hatton and Jurango shook him too.
So PBF has given just as many excuses for this fight as Pac (its the needles, its my religion) Someone here called them prima donnas, I agree: They are both responsible for NOT making the biggest fight in boxing history and it is a GOD Darned shame.:-\

You're right, all that matters in the end is that the fight didn't happen. Would have been the defining fight of the generation, but it didn't happen, and even if they do fight it will never have the same impact it would have back in 2008-2011.
Right or wrong, Floyd is the more powerful guy (as well as the less likeable guy), and people will say that he should have done more to make the fight happen.

You're talking about EPO, it's still a pretty big deal and arguably more dangerous that steroids that increase strength (gives you the ability to throw punches with more intensity for much longer).
That's the shit Lance Armstrong and his crew got busted for, so it would be a pretty big deal if Pac was taking it.

But Floyd was the clean fighter who held out for fairness and an even playing field.
Manny was the dirty PED using fighter who all but admitted his cheating ways.
Floyd will have no regrets.

I think the early consensus was that since Floyd was demanding a stipulation that wasn't typical of your standard boxing match, that he was being the unreasonable party and was therefore at fault for the fight not happening. People don't care who's using what, they just want to see the fight happen.
Re: Floyd not fighting Pacquaio will bother him for the rest of his life
People believe what they want to believe, too, and most people don't care for Mayweather personally. They have their opinions and they won't be swayed by anything, even evidence that completely contradicts their stance.
I think it's silly when people say that Floyd never tried to make the fight happen, or never wanted the fight. They went through a shit load of trouble trying to get this made, they had mediators come in, promotional companies and lawyers going back and forth. Why would either party go through all that headache if they didn't want to fight?
It was a pissing match, Manny wanted a 24 day cut off date for testing, Floyd agreed to a 14 day cut off date (a time frame that would make it virtually impossible for someone to cycle on and off a performance enhancer), Manny refused and that was that.

Let's face it, both these guys have a business machine behind them and in the end neither side is going to walk away from what might be the biggest payday in boxing history. The problem is whoever wins or loses fans will be saying, well, if it happened ten years ago such and such would have happened but, and write this down, I am willing to bet Brocks left testicle the fight takes place next year and the hype will be like nothing we have seen. I'll even throw in miles right testicle and masters porn collection to show how sure I am this fight will happen.
Fair enough but if it happened 5 or 10 years ago the result would have still been the same.
Are we to believe that if it was 5 years ago floyd just stayed the same age at 37 and wouldnt be better?
Everyone seems to think because manny MIGHT have been better 5 years ago floyd just gets stuck in time and wouldnt be the same fighter whooping an undefeated hatton.
Shall we even bring up the 2 year retirement to come back and school a legend in marquez!!!
Think manny could take off 2 years and do that to marquez?!!!!
Come on!!!
You are missing something. I think Manny would win the bout. I'm just saying whatever happens people are saying it happened too late.

Floyd will pretend he has no regrets and did his best to get the fight made but he will deep down and he probably would have won the fight as well.
