Ali knew the punches were weak so he took them. If it was a bigger puncher Ali would have avoided them. Simple.

It is called boxing, you get hit in the face and sometimes your head snaps back. Simple.
You sound more and more like Bill everyday.

No Ali never could get hit in the 'face'. Ali > "I'm too fast and my face is too pretty." But Bill will tell you just the same as I will: that ~pretty~ face got 'nailed' all night long by Mildenberger.

Ali won that is all that matters and if you and Bill get excited that Ali got hit a few times which happens in boxing then carry on.

Cassius Clay 'may' have jizzed in Veronica's eye in 1971, but Brit would have no part of the nation of Jizzlam.

Re: Muhammad Ali technically LOST The Thrilla In Manila
~ Corner Rules ~
If a 'fighter' is on his stool at the sound of the 'Bell' to start the Round, his corner {handlers}
are prohibited from assisting the fighter.
He must rise off the stool under his own strength {with no assistance}.
If he is helped, the 'ruling' is a Disqualification by {illegal assistance from the handlers}.
If so,
Then the bout would be awarded to the opponent by 'Disqualification'.

help Ali up after the 'Bell'. Then he pushed Ali out of the corner.
