I can picture Alvarez-Golovkin happening when Golovkin gets older. GGG looked like he was running out of steam in the second half of his last fight. If he looks like he's slowing down and age is catching up with him in his next fights then Team Canelo will fancy it. Geale is a middleweight, he was apparently fighting for the middleweight title. Dragging him below the middleweight limit where he's bone dry is both reckless, dangerous and a black eye on boxing and any attempts it has made to improve fighter safety over the years.
I've had nothing but respect for Cotto throughout his career but on this occasion I view him as nothing more than a cheat and no better than a guy who comes to the ring jacked up to his eyeballs.
A disgraceful and dangerous act of cowardice. That goes for anyone who thought this was an OK thing to do.
Ironic thing is, in all likelihood, he didn't need those 3 pounds. He would have outclassed Geale regardless, all he did was tarnish his win
