Calm down Al, this is the first time iv dipped back in to this thread. I do have other things to do you know other than critique your posts;D
I also thought it was an odd performance. The opponent wasnt bad. He was on a good run of form and has extended some good heavies. Not a bad opponent at all or a bad performance really winning every round. Yes Hughie didnt look a destroyer but hes still a boy maturing in to a big awkward frame, hes only 20 for fuck sake;D
His last two opponents are better than Joshua's last two and Joshua had Olympic pedigree and over 5 years in age.
Calm down girls Put the hand bags down and save them for the Tyson v Klitschko build up;D;)
You still have faith in him then ross ? just looks like an average jab and move fighter to me. Yes he is young but I don't see him improving much , I think that is the general opinion here.
Will he need to improve MUCH with the ease he is beating good opponents?
Good opponents gets you to British level , I don't see him holding off a major puncher.

I think he takes a better shot than his cousin Tyson. I dont think he has his cousins desire and spite to hurt someone and win at all costs though.
He has done nothing wrong as yet to get upset about. Hes just beaten two good opponents, Rudenko was more live than Arias but Arias is still no world beater but still slouch even now and is at least on a par with Wilders last opponent. Hughie hurt him in the second and Arias used that massive wealth of experience to go in to a shell for the rest of the fight (His trainer also criticised his technique after and said they will be working on it and hes back on the undercard of Klitschko v Tyson and hopefully has a better opponent still). A good learning fight in the end. not a bad win for a 20 year old in his 15th fight. They did want better opponents but Hughie is neither here nor there for better names who think they are on the verge of a title shot.
I think he could easily hold off a big puncher. I could see him boxing Tepers ears off and he deffinitely has more about him than the usual suspects at british level but hes not going to get a title shot in his next fight anyway. At least he is getting testing fights and you can actually see what ability he has. Its a bit mad how some think Joshua is the new Lewis and Tyson rolled in to one but he really hasnt faced any live opponents yet but Hughie is comfortably winning every round against Rudenko amd Arias who arguably beat everyone Joshua has faced and hes not even British level;D

I think he stands as good a chance as Whyte.
Can Joshua fight the distance?
Can he deal with a jab?
Does he look as basic as he does now and get very frustrated when his opponent can move and box?

Well you are defiantly in the minority if you think fury can beat Joshua.

Re: Official Pony Channel 5 Card Tonight. Blackwell etc. FAT.
Rudenko and Arias (Arias for fucks sake ;D --- a 50-year-old former cruiserweight journeyman that had his wife and daughter working his corner. If he knew he would have to go 10 rounds, because Hughie can't punch, he would have demanded more dosh) are better than anyone AJ has fought?
Once again --- There's a reason why Kevin Johnson, Sprott, Skelton, Bakhtov, Airich, Love can all take "world" champion/challengers the distance/late rounds but can't last 3-6-9 minutes with AJ.
There's a reason why Jason Gavern can take top fighters like Steve Cunningham (arguably Tyson's best win) the distance but not last 9 minutes with AJ.
There's a reason why Dorian Darch can take Hugie Fury the distance but not last 6 minutes with AJ.
AJ would annihilate Hughie. Fact.

That is absolute rubbish and you know it.
Just because fighter B stops a load of journeymen quicker than fighter A doesn't instantly mean he beats fighter A.
Tyson wiped the floor with Holmes but Holmes took Holyfield the distance;)

Al sometimes I think I have you figured out and then you revert back to rubbish like this.
You thought I was making it a rule of thumb so to speak that because Hassim Rahman thought Fury will beat Klitschko and that Klitschko will not find a sparring partner to replicate a switch hitting unpredictable 6,9" fighter. A rule of thumb that because Fury wont find one like Wlad he will lose. No I wasnt saying it was a rule of thumb I was just showing an actual world heavyweight champions opinion on the fight pointing out a few things that Klit will struggle with.
Fenster is entitled to his opinion and I enjoy it.
Also to one of fensters questions is Arias better than anyone Joshua has fought.
Tell me which Joshua opponent you would bet your house that would beat Arias?;D

Re: Official Pony Channel 5 Card Tonight. Blackwell etc. FAT.
Id be pretty confident that most of AJs last 7 opponents would be Arias with the exception of Sprott. I also think AJ would get Arias out in the 1st round and would flatten Hughie

I love that a year ago you fancied Johnson to beat Chisora in 5 rounds and called it a very dangerous fight for Chisora, but now he has absolutely no ambition. Bottom line, Johnson never had any ambition and the whole point of him fighting Joshua was to give Joshua rounds.

Re: Official Pony Channel 5 Card Tonight. Blackwell etc. FAT.
Jesus so Tysons best win is against a guy that couldnt beat Arias. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel here Ross

Tyson fought him years and about 4 or 5 losses ago;D:rolleyes:
Like I said on a similar note earlier, Joe Louis lost to Marciano and was washed up only a couple of years after beating Walcott.

Peter Fury just said on twitter.
"Call just came in from USA asking @hughiefury to fight Wilder in 4 weeks. Getting noticed @tyson_Fury"

Re: Official Pony Channel 5 Card Tonight. Blackwell etc. FAT.
He should take it, what's he got to lose? Overnight superstar. He's in great shape - as shown by him dealing with the deadly George Arias last week with such sublime ease.

If @hughiefury gets 8 weeks we will take it 1000%. We don't do bottle jobs in this camp!! @tyson_Fury

Re: Official Pony Channel 5 Card Tonight. Blackwell etc. FAT.
No way Wilder offered Hughie out. Wilder would not be allowed to fight someone at that level.

Sprinting away would certainly be Hughie's best option against Wilder.

To be fair you could probably make a case for Hughie being better than Wilder's last opponent. Especially considering he's coming off a fantastic win over Grandad George Arias.
