I saw 115-113 Selby in the end but Montiel moved him when he wanted, rocked him and lumped him up. Selby composed midway and looked sharp Fook do I know

The right guy won the fight clearly. It was a clear ud. 8-4 is certainly not unreasonable and 9-3 is essentially the same fight. Montiel made him work and went 12 in a fight most thought he'd get stopped in so he won also.
Atlas is having fun tonight, they might have to make some adjustments with his meds though! ;D
And heres to the stars aligning and Martinez swatting the crap out of Alexander. This arena will be drowned in boos by 2nd ;D

I think it is a Big Al Haymon thing. He fancy himself an innovator or at least putting as much tecknology to use as possible to make the boxing experience more enjoyable for the fans.Quote:

Boxers with world titles shouldn't be choosing old shot boxers like Montiel as opponents.
Fernando Montiel's best was between 7 and 10 years ago when he fought at super flyweight.
And I remember he seemed small even for bantamweight when he fought Donaire.
Selby won the fight 8-4 I thought. I thought he clearly won a pretty competitive fight.
I just fast forwarded the Alexander fight after the 6th. It was so boring and was clear to me that Devon is completely done as a top fighter. I don't know what he was doing in there. He never fights like that.
If Haymon wants to make boxing enjoyable then keep Alexander out of the main event ;D Man, I turned it off and made tacos. Glad Martinez got the win, sounds like he earned it.Quote:

Ref working the camera and being made a part of the show has always bugged me. Cortez was horrible with it, right down to his catch phrase "I'm fair but I'm firm" and constant interference for the sake of being seen. Mercante Jr also. Refs need to be as invisible as possible and leave the spotlight to the actual athletes in there being punched in the mouth trying to earn a name.

Ahead of his IBF featherweight defence against Fernando Montiel in Arizona, boxer Lee Selby takes time out from his training to answer Sport Wales' quick-fire questions.
The fight will be the first time Selby has fought in the USA and will also be his first defence of the title he won in May against Evgeny Gradovich.
