Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
So basically Floyd did this to make weight, you can see from his recent weigh in's he has been hovering around the 147 limit. So what? Strip him of all the belts and make him pay Pac a hefty penalty? Seems like this might be a money grab attempt. Well if anyone deserves it Floyd does. Dude is getting old and having trouble making weight, he isn't juicing. You would think he would fight more aggressively if he was. ;D

I rest my case....
This was my line of thinking originally, but now the more I think about all of stories, reports and fights we've all seen...The question becomes...Who knows for certain? How many fighters shouldn't have lost to certain opponents or even just fought better, but fought like crap because of weight drain/dehydration/malnutrition and other complications brought on by something as simple as hydration. Im sure it'll probably have its own thread soon enough.
Could gatti have fought better against floyd? Could roy have done better against Tarver? Cotto against Manny? Geale against cotto? if they were given these injections. In certain cases maybe they were an lost anyway (depending on what the overseeing authorities allowed)... but how do we know for certain? is this the (partial) antidote to being weight drained by an opponent?

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
Mayweather has cheated, the facts seem fairly clear. The fight should be changed to a NC. The biggest fight ever is a dud. Then fans should sue the shit out of Floyd for it too. Another cheat in a growing list.

The question I have is... is this just the opposite of the Chavez Jr. diuretic issue. I mean if he received a ban for testing positive for something that helped him crap the water weight away. Could he have just sat in a sauna for extra hours before the weigh in been helped to the scales and then been issued the same IV to rehydrate overnight to his usual 20 lbs over? If the NY state athletic commission and Gatti could be sued by gamache for purging and then gaining enough weight (19lbs- if you believe there was no scale tampering) overnight naturally to end gamache's career with punches... How does it become a non issue now to do it unnaturally?

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
I am starting to hate Floyd even more than I did before. How dare he manipulate the process of drug testing to suit himself. How long has he been doing it? Floyd claimed the higher moral ground on drug testing and yet he has been exposed.
I believe it is deliberately leaked to sell more ppv fights

No doubt, and some fans continue to call Floyd stupid!

Everything was going along swimmingly for Floyd until he picked Berto, now with the PPVs in the tank Floyd has decided to spice things up! I don't think it will help much as few fans are interested in Berto vs Floyd. If it wasn't for the undercard it would be a dud. I'm not buying this one.

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
Not only was this the most disappointing "Fight of the Millennium" in recorded history.....
NOW it's being rehashed, regurgitated, dragged through the mud, made into tabloid fodder......
Bad shoulders, illegal IV's, blah, blah, blah.
The fight sucked..... we should all forget it ever happened..... and look forward to the next fight that will restore some of the luster that was lost with this mega-fiasco.

It's doing the opposite for me. One on hand, I'm glad to hear tickets are still available. On the other hand, Berto doesn't deserve this. He doesn't deserve the fight nor the IV-gate scandal.

Vegas would rather the whole thing went away in case it affects Floyd's marketability. They're opening a new MGM arena next year and you can guarantee they're going to offer Floyd a lot of money to have the first fight there.
You know the only guy more terrified than Floyd that he'll test positive? The head of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. It's his worst nightmare that he catches Floyd cheating.

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
And anyway, we've been told for years that Floyd isn't even a natural welter and he can eat breakfast on the morning of the weigh-in. All of a sudden he needs to rehydrate by IV?
I'm sure there are a lot of people reading and posting on this thread who haven't read the article. You should take the time to read it. It's a really informative read.

ROFL The NSAC wont catch Floyd nor will USADA theyre the ones letting him cheat for the reasons you said. Theyre in it up to their asses. Remember the NSAC Commissioner that resigned after May 2 ?? Wonder if he saw this coming and got out ?

1...I do know cheating. I know Mayweather has been cheating for years with the blessing of the NSAC & USADA Vegas corruption at its best. If he gets away with this latest scandal then you may as well amalgamate boxing with the WWE. Most casual fans already do anyway The Fed's need to get in on this one & clean house get the corruption out of boxing
2.. Yes I do know Tony & I'm proud to be a friend & a supporter of his. Anyone that really knows Tony already know that he was innocent of any wrong doing
What happened was a travesty
-
Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
Yes, innocent of all wrongdoing. It was all down to his trainer. His trainer let Margarito take the risk of being banned for life, having his name and reputation trashed and potentially losing every penny he had and a prison sentence on top without telling him about what he was doing.
I hope that cunt has blown all his money and has to fight for years to come and ends up with proper brain damage.

Why wasn't he banned for life, arrested or sent to prison?

Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
Banned NOTHING you morons.
IV use is not banned by the NSAC.
IV use IS banned by USADA, but they gave him a T.U.E.
LOL@ all the haters getting salty because Floyd injected some water and vitamins into his system.
But then go praise Pac who juiced himself up to the gills and became superman, and suddenly when he got off the juice he didn't have power anymore. LOL funny how that works...
Floyd is damn near 40 with almost 20 years of pro boxing. So what if he uses an IV to rehydrate himself?
-
Re: Mayweather received banned IV injection before Pacquiao fight
Bro they only gave him a TUE after they found out he did it, weeks after the fight.

He told him he was going to do it, Mayweather notified them before he did it and they notified Pacquiao's camp, who didn't say anything.
It's all just more excuses. The shoulder injury thing got blown out of the water so Pac and the haters are going to grab onto this. It's all bullshit for the morons.

Because it was discovered before the fight. If he'd put Mosley in a coma and his wraps had been examined after the fight he'd be looking at paying unlimited damages in civil actions and being locked up.

He never put anyone in a coma. His hands being wrapped was witnessed by numerous top trainers and numerous commissions over the years.

Everyone on boxingscene knows what a T.U.E is, we got nothing but casual fans here apparently haha
