Wladimir Klitschko vs Chris Byrd II. Who's gonna win this one & how?

me too, thats why i think byrd really has a shot against wlad, and PBF has enough in hand to deal with a focussed zab...

Well guys wouldn't fighting a guy who you beat the crap out of already boost your confidence?

Wlad has NEVER had trouble with anyone slick or who didn't punch hard, why would he have a problem now???

The main things you have to do to beat Wlad are as follows: 1) Have a sturdy chin 2) Have a lot of stamina 3) Have power 4) be able to apply pressure on a guy who has a great jab and can move very well for his size and still be landing with very hard power shots.

Wlad can't fight AS WELL going backwards
Wlad moving around a lot burns energy and takes power away from him as the rounds go on
Wlad leans forward a little too much when he relaxes (leaves him open for an uppercut but puts even more reach on his jab)

Byrd is quick
Byrd can take a good shot
Byrd was able to draw with Golota (it was a bad call I think)
Byrd has no power
Byrd is lackluster offensively
Byrd hasn't KO'd anyone in 4 years and that guy was a 100% journeyman (Jeff Pegues)

Bryd will not make it till the tenth round.

Klitschko will win perhaps by a tko by th 9th

it was a long shot bet made half jokingly but also made on the fact that anything can happen.


here's how it goes.......

Wlad comes out knowing he is naturally stronger and has very little to fear from Byrd's power and goes looking for the homerun. he does not conserve his engergy like he did against peter. a tired Klitchko gets hammered with a bunch of light un-answered punches and the ref waves it off.

Okay I thought about this fight and this are the 3 possible main outcomes of the fight(in my opinion,of course)...

First,the most unlikely one:Byrd will come in very aggressive,avoiding most what Wlad throws at him,
keeping up this pressure till Wlads folds.Thats not really Byrds style,but
could be that he finds confidence in Wlads ko defeats...like I said very
unlikely...
Second,the most feared:Byrd will run and run and run, the crowd will boo and this will be the crapiest
fight this year,with Wlad winning by decision...

Third,the most likeley:The fight will be similar to the first one,with a slightly bigger chance for Wlad
to win by ko...

I think Wlad will do what he did in the first fight against Byrd who is perhaps the only heavyweight out there unable to knock Klit out.

Wladimir beat Sam Peter by UD,a guy who everyone was saying was the next Ike!If Wladimir can take the punches from him, and he did take some really good straight shots to the chin,I don't think there are many other heavyweights that hit harder than Peter.Can you name any?

What I do see are facts...Byrd didn't really impress lately,but Klitschko with his win over Peters
is back on top and has left the worst of his career behind him... ;)

Wladimir is most powerful when he's jabbing you on the outside.

Chris ain't gonna be on the outside. He's been training for this fight ever since they last met.
Determined, focused, skilled, iron jaw...

Not to mention how open (defensively) Wladimir was with Samuel Peter, even though I was impressed by that win. Byrd won't throw haymakers like a Sam Peter.

Unfortunatly the two best already fought, and it ended in a draw, because one decided to be a lazy fat ass and come in outta shape.

Pay no attention to Hulk, Mayorga isn't fighting so obviously he's touchy about it.....it's ok Princess, Ricardo only needs to suck in one division

i know im going against pretty much everyone by saying byrd can win. but the simple truth of it is that wlad is coming off just one impressive victory. a victory where he tasted the canvas multiple times against a very limited boxer. sam peter might pack a punch, but he's sorely lacking in skills. of course, wlad beat him and it took everything wlad had to hold it together until the end...

its been years since wlad last beat byrd. wlad beat byrd with ease. but so much has passsed since then. byrd's style has evolved. he seems more willing to dig into the trenches and tough it out. his chin is supermanesque. wlad meanwhile has shown us all his flaws. byrd now has a blueprint of how best to beat wlad. namely keep the pace up, keep wlad throwing punches in bunches. use movement to make him miss. counter accurately. if byrd can keep on his feet and somehow remain strong going into the second half of the fight then he can really take it to wlad. like i say, this is a small ring. byrd isnt going in there blind. byrd is no pocket rocket, but he can punch. he will try and exhaust wlad by an accumualtion of effort...

i wouldnt be surprised to see byrd steal this one.....im no massive byrd fan, nor am i any wlad hater (remember i was on wlad's side against peter)...i just think as a fan of boxing this is actually a pretty interesting bout (and you've gotta go with one fighter havent you? ;D)...
