drinking alone on the worst possible night of the week, why do I always do it???

This is starting to become my own personal little thread I think

Anyways, I finished work and all I wanted to do was have a little drink, neighbour phones me up 'can you come down and help me out I'm trying to buy a tablet' so down I go, can't get the one they want and out of desperation I offer to have a look around town tomorrow on my lunch break (on xmas fucking eve as well) and told them I would buy it and get the money off them later, then I get roped into downloading about 5 films and 2 cd's for them, then I find out I have somehow managed to triple book myself on sunday, I'm supposed to be having a drink with my neighbours son, apparently they were expecting me to go and have a good piss up with them and all I wanted to do was be left the fuck alone.

ah well, its 8:40 and I'm a few cans behind what I was planning so I'm gunna have to get a wriggle on

Well last night I lost my coat, ipod and a shoe.
I say I lost them when really I just left them at the house but the point still stands that I was drunk enough to walk home with one shoe on, it could have been worse though one woman was that drunk that they pissed their pants

I ate so much last night that I have not eaten until 1pm today. :)

Well that's that, Christmas is officially over 4 days on the piss and I'm done, I'm actually looking forward to work, it means getting back into a routine and not drinking purely because it's expected.

I've managed to slice my thumb open as well, it ain't to bad I don't think...probably a step off a hospital job, I'll just be really pissed off if I can't play my piano, I'm not sure at the minute, in all fairness I kind of think it needs stitches

This time it isn't the worst possible night of the week, I'm not at work tomorrow and I've just ended up having a decent drink, looking at my coffee table I've got 3 big bottles of stella 3 cans of stella and a bottle of rum (only got 2 drinks out of that)

thing is I'm enjoying my music now and the only thing in my fridge is a lonely can of emergancy special brew, I think I'm gunna crack the bad boy, after all what have I got to lose

On a semi serious note, I've been thinking maybe its about time that I find myself a female friend to share the pleasure of my company with, the only problem is that I half think I've actually become institutionalized, there is a bird at work who I often think could be the buffalo I spear with my arrow, but then I think that I will need to speak to someone once I finish work, I will have to think about meals (chicken and chips will only go so far in a relationship)

I'm just waxing lyrical here by the way lads, I mean I don't wanna get roped into watching Emerdale or Corrie (or worse both) every night of the fucking week

where I am at the moment, I get to drink when I want, watch what I want, do what I want and stick to my masturbational schedule without anyone getting in my ear.

Plus I'm not sure referring to someone of the opposite sex as a bird or a buffalo would go down to well, I reckon I should have been bord 30 years earlier, then I'd be right in the thick of it

On Tuesday night I walked my daughter and her friend to brownies and on the way home I stopped off at the pub, its not a pub I usually go in so I was pretty sure there would be no one in there that I knew

I sat there on my own and drank 3 pints of stella and then went back and picked them up when brownies had finished

sad I know

thing is I actually quite enjoyed the peace and the beer and I'm quite looking forward to next tuesday

Funny stuff, but why do people drink Stella? It's the most boring Belgian beer I've ever had.. It's not even neutral for a pilsner, there is something skunky about that shit. I guess Im biased as I almost always prefer ales, @kirklandLaing clued me into Duvel's, that stuff is very very good.

Well I thought I would bring this thread back to life.

I was forced out of my flat today between the hours of 8am till 4pm, so I said thats fine, I'll just go round me mom n dads and chill out round there.

bad idea, little did I know my dad wanted to make a session out of it, I'm past the point of no return now, I'm back home but if I sleep now I'll be fucked when it comes to sleepin tongiht, I'f I stop drinking the hangover will catch me, if I carry on drinking I may be able to keep myself on such a level that I am tired enough to sleep and not quite drunk enough to wake with a bad head tomorrow.

this is all theory though, the amount I have drunk would suggest a bad head is coming my way regardless.

My own personal drunkern thread has arose like a phoenix frrom the flames (thats right aint it???)

been round me mom n dads for dinner, scrapped the dinner and just got on the beer, then the sister and her fella started arguing, managed to calm that down then some dude came round to give a quote for me mom n dads roof to be repaired, then the sister started arguing again.

I ended up chatting shit with my nephews whilst everyone was running around like headless chickens, them little bastards speak a hell of a lot of sense, one is 8 and the other is 11, most adult conversation I've had in ages.

anyways we have listened to jimmi hendrix, muddy waters, sam cooke, and I even managed to throw a bit of leadbelly in.

had a good fucking drink and now that I'm home I can enjoy my music uninterupted, perfect

actually I would like to amend that, the 11 year old speaks sense, the 8 year old is off his fucking rocker, it's like he has took LSD and speed for breakfast every day sinse he was 6 years old, he aint normal, pretending he was a slug he was.

the other nipper (he's 3 in october) was dealing with a serious bump on the head after walking into my pint glass....I'm not painting a pretty good picture of my family but all in all it was a succesful dinner

What brand of beer was it? How many did you drink?

Stella is a sharp and robust beer. 14 330 ml cans is a HELLUVA LOT.

You sure know how to drink! I used to be able to drink a lot but just cannot do it anymore. I was so happy to get through a week of work last week that I drank about 6 pints of beer and I couldn't do anything the next day. I won't do it again for a while. Like you I could knock back a dozen cans, can barely do half without getting the jitters anymore. More pain than it's worth. Back on the wagon.

I'm on the brink now, had 2 bottles of funky rum beer and then the villa fucked up massively, thats my excuse, i've had 6 cans, I'm kind of thinking that once I've done the last 2 I'll be alright, I know for a fact that by 7:30pm at the latest I'll be drinkless and I'll need to make a serious decision about walking up the road to get some more.

I'm struggling a bit at the moment, it comes to something when I think I am going to be better off without a drink.
