Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
How many more pointless fight till we get to Brook-Bizier?
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Gary Sykes on his way out to the ring...he's looking a little nervous, but he has every right to be. I'm picking Campbell between 7-9.

We have a chance this year. Although I say that every tournament since 1982. I believe it.

I love how much Billy joe Saunders hates Eubank Jr

Campbells counter punching is sublime at times. Great finish

Eubank in ring now.

Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
That was a lovely finish by Campbell, Sykes was trying to go into his shell but Luke was finding punches that landed all over him. Once he started ding donging the head back and forth, there was no doubt it was a good stoppage.
Came earlier than I expected, but all credit to him, a good win.

Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
God damn this shit gets dragged out. Fucking fight already
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Another total missmatch for Brook, Mandatory of course but cmon this guy lost to No Jo Dan ;D
-
After Blackwell v Eubank this is going to he nothing more than boring
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Dont worry @Batman it'll be over by the 3rd ;D
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Never thought much of Brook. But that was a pretty impressive stoppage
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Brief but brutal. Again underestimated how quickly the favorite would end it. Brook looked smooth, and Bizier looked crude. He almost looked like he was forlorn and on the verge of giving up even before the first bell.

Well that shows what you know

Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
I know these fights are mandatory defences but if you mix with shit for too long you become shit.
Brook needs a huge test and fast.... gotta take a risk now and if it means fucking that belt off then he has to do it, he's just treading water these last 3 fights

Quite right pal - Brook's got to step it up now

Have to agree, but I think politics etc makes it not so straight forward.

Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Im not impressed at all this belt is shite and weak in the rankings, remember this joker got beat by No Jo Dan, Brook needs to take a risk next theres nothing to test him in the pipeline unless he goes for another belt in the division. surely he has to next fight
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Forget this fight.
Hughie fury next!
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
I still am adamant that Khan totally schools Brook

He did what he had to do with this type of opponent. Which was get him out early. But I agree he needs bigger name opponents

Sums up the IBF rankings in this weight class.... Shit basically, Bizier looked beaten before the first bell went. Not taking anything away from Brook but these fights and the Gavin fight are doing him no favours.
Im 100% positive that Hearn wants him undefeated when he faces Khan and is milking him for as long as is possible, either way Brroks next fight has to be Khan or another belt holder

I used to think that, but now I think Khan gets hits so hard at some point in the fight, he fails the ten count on the way into the ring.

Not come across this one, so interested to see what other people think.
I remember Larry Holmes trying to time Tyson onto his right uppercut. Just as he threw it, his arm got tangled in the ropes and Tyson had thrown a huge left that kayod Larry.
That certainly wasn't a disallowed knockdown

Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Brook may now get a big fight Khan would get KO by Kell simple as Brook is a good boxer himself if Garcia
can beat Khan, Brook will poleaxe him and he would do the same to Garcia.;)
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
When Brook trains properly, I think he is genuine world class. He is a HUGE welterweight who carries middleweight power along with typical Wincobank gym skills and a decent chin.
He has been avoided by just around everyone for a few years now, but if he is not proactive in getting the big fights soon, he will see his best years slip past. I can't see Khan beating him, to be honest.

I don't think Brook v Khan will happen, and I have to say I'm not overly bothered. I would rather Brook fights one of the GENUINELY top WW's instead. Pac (if he sticks around), Bradley, Thurman and maybe Garcia. There are absolutely no more excuses now.
I'm not holding my breath though. I don't reckon any of those fights will get made, whether here or in the States.

Trouble is Brook v Khan could have been made who do you blame,!!!!! the other welters out there no Kell
is a danger and maybe don't fancy it I would love to see him face any of the above but this is boxing and
as we Know we sometimes never get what we want pity but it's how it goes.:(

I blame Khan, he clearly never wanted it.
As for the other fights, I just don't reckon they'll get made. None of them will come over here, and Hearn won't want Brook to go over there.
I don't think Brook would mind going over, but Hearn won't make enough dough.

Yes Kevin , do you remember - Gene " NAUGHTY PUPPY " Hatcher :) he was never a mad dog.

Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Fringe contender opponent or not, Brook did his job. Now it's up to Khan to call him out with the same vigor and annoying insistence he's used to whine call out Floyd and Pac. Oh wait.... he's scheduled to get KTFO'ed by Canelo pretty soon.

Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Can somebody somewhere stop the IBF from digging up piles of manure to put in front of Kell Brook?
Brook might as well have fought his heavy bag last night; that would have provided sterner opposition!

To be fair , the next in line in the IBF rankings (Spence)would actually be a worthy fight. But I think we need to see Brook fight one of the top, top guys. If he beat one of them, then had to face Spence as a mandatory, that would be acceptable for a World Champion. He could of course lose either of those.
Or , as I suspect, there'll be a few more stiffs and MAYBE a Khan matchup.
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Lets see if Hearn avoids Spence to try and get a Khan fight.
If Brook's is genuine then he will not duck Spence.
-
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
They're not selling Brook-Khan off the back of Khan getting splattered by Canelo. That fight is dead for a long time.

Hearn will sell his grandmother if it would raise some money.
Eddie has even said that when Khan loses the fight can still be made but Khan will have to accept a lot less.
