Brandon Rios? No way should Rios still be fighting.
That's what I've been hearing. Hope it's only a rumor tho.
He is training in Oxnard. My friend is training him.
Didn't he announce his official retirement

Good call, on for February it looks! Gavril getting a rematch also on undercard.
Beginning of the year filling out nicely.

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
I would really like this fight about 3-4 years ago, but I just don’t see Rios being able to be busy enough. I used to be a fan of Garcia but he just went soft for too long. Then after losing to Thurman, he just disappears instead of getting back and making a name for himself again.

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Rios looks good weight-wise and has for some time.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Garcia-Rios makes no sense to me. It's a no-win situation for Garcia.

I think it's seen as easy money by team DSG.

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Curious to see what Rios has left. His weight has looked to be good since October and he is said to have been working very hard all along. Is that true?
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Garcia really needs to step up his game.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
If Rios is really serious and trained hard, and he fights like he used to, then I could see an upset because Garcia doesn’t like pressure. I just don’t see it though.

Rios is washed up now, surely?

I would think so, might be fun for a few rounds.

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
I like this fight, stylewise there's gonna be some wild exchanges, was listening to an American podcast where they were shitting all over it, don't get it.
Having said that, Rios needs to be in really good nick, Garcia likes playing the boxer, stick-and-move, sneaky left hook counter. Ultimately Rios will eat too many of Garcia's best weapon.
Both made weight.

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Triple header time! I think this 'can' will come to fight tonight. Lets hope!
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Ugas gets the knockdown in 1st.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Sorry was still in the other thread. Great win for Ugas.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Ugas KO 7, good finish.
They both looked like punchers yet the records said otherwise.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Stoked for Ugas, quite the career turn around by him over last number of fights. Nice ko. Robinson looked like he stuck a fork in a socket.

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Porter-Thurman interview. Bank on the rematch, Al will.
Thurman still harping on his elbow injury ;D.

Yeah, they had a couple different contrived dust ups today. I'm wondering if they're really going to do Garcia/Spence. I mean, Garcia isn't going to wait around on Thurman right? Guy fights once a year if you're 3rd in line you have to move on right?

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Benevadiz should have kept the funky haircut
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
A close 1st round. Gave it to Benavidez.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Clear round for Benavidez, 2-0.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Gavril started this fight with more ambition than he did last time. Good body work
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Garcia pacing holes in the floor talking to Jim Gray there. Looks very ready to go. And no Elton John sun glasses???.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
3-0 Benavidez, looking good.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Niiice. Benavidez showing improvement. His uppercut takes names.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Big left uppercut rocked Gavril early in the 4th. Gavril fighting back. Benavidez back in control over the last minute. 4-0 Benavidez.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Gavril do well to keep taking this beating

He's still there which is the best you can say for him. Maybe Benavidez gasses punching him in the head.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Good back and forth in the 6th. 6-0 Benavidez.

Sorry 5th, 5-0.

Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
For barely 21 yrs old this kid is a confident force. Most fluid and shifty seen yet.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
6-0 Benavidez. Gavril still trying his heart out.

Much smarter than last fight, hard to believe he was wobbling around at 300 lbs before he took off.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Jesus someone call the cops!
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Brisk pace and both guys throwing. I've got Benavidez with a clean sweep though 8, although Gavril is making it a fight. Man he can take a shot.
-
Re: Garcia fighting another tomato can
Corner may have to save Gavril from himself.
