I'm not sure he could because he has no power. If he wants to have fans he can't just run.

I give Rosales the last round, Selby did very little. Still have Selby a clear winner.
Selby hurt again in 12th. Good fighter, good fight, but many many holesin his game.
Points win for Selby quite comfortable as I had it.
I do not like Selby switch hitting but he will never stop that.
Selby is a natural boxing talent.
Bollocks cards as per usual. Way too wide. The right guy won, but you have to have more respect for Rosales than the judges gave him.
I had Selby by about 3 rounds.
He will not pause to set himself and so yes he does not seem to have enough power to keep the opponent off him but he does more than 'run' and you can help him tweak that style. The unorthodox thing is a Sanigar hallmark and has served Haskins etc well. Horses for courses but early days.
Lee Selby v Carl Frampton next?
It doesn't matter if it's 1st attempt or 4th, at this moment in time, I don't think any of the champions beat him. The only one I have a mild doubt about is Ramirez. And Callum Smith is a 50/50 and he's not even a champion.
But going back to Anthony Selby, fucking hell, his interview! "I don't even like Boxing, I just like the Cheques!
Just to be clear. I didn't say he just runs. I said he can't just run if he wants fans. From his interview he seems to know he has to tighten up his defense. First thing for me would be to get that chin off the platter. He looked to me like he betrays his movement too early and would struggle with a fighter that used feints.
Graig Kennedy v askin
Kennedy out of his depth
Askin knocks down Kennedy in the first with huge right hand
If Askin wasn't so obvious with his attack this one would be over. So clearly only looking for 1 right hand.
The ref struggling to push Kennedy back into his corner :-)
Kennedy getting better in the 3rd round
Kennedy just completely circled the ring 2 full times without so much as sticking out a jab.
Kennedy doing nothing to suggest he wants to win this fight.
Same punch same way as first ends it.
Just as I thought Kennedy would win he gets knocked spark out
Textbook finish and for a once have to agree with the Commentators, great work by Jennings in the corner.
My apologies. Earlier I said Groves and Chudinov was a vacancy fight. Sorry for putting out misinformation
Also, thanks Master for starting the thread. I would have missed these fights otherwise.
The boxers at the lower weights are like insects - small, very active, fast, sharp and have a short boxing life span. This is as good as Selby will get in terms of activity, with a bit of tweaking of his defence he could be a champion.
The new champion is suppose to be a big puncher.

I've read a lot of reports of how brilliant Selby was. I didnt think he was brilliant at all. He's powderpuff, no doubting that. Makes it up as he goes along, which is fine, but as a wise man once said, there's only so far off the beaten track you should go. He does a really ugly pivot/run out of tight spots that looks so bad. I thought he came across as a bit of a twat too with the 'I only do it for the money' line. You dont have to like your job, many people are in same boat. But it's generally after a good few years of solid graft, not before you've finished your three months probation. Unless he's the best paid paperweight novice in the history of the sport, he cant be making that much money.
Kennedy was an accident waiting to happen. Last time I watched him against Big Joe he looked shit and asking to be chinned. He doesnt look like he's improved and duly got chinned.
