4-4 even up. This is all Hurds to turn up now, way to much posturing.
Trout's legs look like twigs compared to Hurd.
5-5 even much better 10th Trout..until the last 20 seconds ;D. Hurd simply looks bit lethargic from starts, no nicer way to put it.
The corner did the right thing. That could have been a horrible brutal knockout.
What in the flying fuck happened in that corner ???
need to hear that conversation ffs!
Poor Trout, I only caught the end, but his opponent just seemed so huge by comparison.
What a fucking haircut. God and Al Haymon.
Yea it's hard to be that impressed just by how much bigger he was and that fucking haircut, if not how he struggled early. How is Charlo-Lubin not the main event? Oh well fine with me. I think maybe Lara is still the top guy at 154 at present, even though I think he lost to Canelo. Should know after tonight.
Even though Trout was winning he never looked liked winning (you know what I mean). He looked relieved to be stopped.
Hurd looked bigger than Jamie Cox did earlier in the night at supermiddle.
I like Hurd, decent enough guy who seems to know his strengths and weaknesses. Trout did himself proud but was getting physically pounded down. Just can't help but respect the guy in larger life picture than just a ring.
He's got a chimney brush on his head.
Lubin's team look like something out of a comedy film (Wayans brothers?) with the camp Flash Gordon costumes and funky hairdoo's
wtf is up with all of the scissor ravaged orange hair ??? Hope Lubin doesn't Ed Hopson it here
Welp...sometimes ya just shit the bed son :angryxo4:
Fuck me. I was just about to post they were showing each other a lot of respect and it might take a while for a fight to break out.
All that hype for Lubin gone in a round. He looked good too, either the new Khan or he'll never be heard or seen again
Lubin may spend a career trying to come back from that kind of ko. Weird shot and he was doing the robot trying to get up. Like to see a guy flat call out fellow trinket holders and Charlo went off with Hurd.
Spence and Thurman at the same table here ;D. good promotion and Thurman still thinks this is the WWE on the mic
I think Lubin comes back from the KO. It was a flash KO so it’s not like he just got beat up or anything. I think Lubin still will be good in the future. He just stepped up a bit early.
I think Charlo beats Hurd easily. He is way too skillful.
And this Lara fight is boring.
Lara scores knockdown doesn't even attempt to go for the KO or do anything different (annoying when a stoppage puts you quids in)
It's like watching an amateur fight
This fight is awful. Gausha looks like the stereotypical good amateur that just can’t adapt to professional ranks. He isn’t doing anything.
Thurman and Wilder looked almost offended Broner was sitting between them mugging for camera. Broner must know he's the dented can of potted meat among fresh deli cuts here.
The venue has emptied, why is this the main event? Worst fight on paper proving to be worse than expected
They actually flipped the momentum of card tonight, has anyone told Lara why he's last tonight ;D. Looks like he's carrying Gausha a bit
Gausha is never getting on a big network again and Lara is getting a paycut next time out regardless
Also notice how Charlo vs Hurd has been called out, responded to and verbally agreed to while waiting ;D
Hurd lumbers forward and Charlo shows his skills. Charlo on another level to Hurd.
This Lara fight is predictably uninspiring. Like everybody else I can't understand why this wasn't first. People could have avoided it and stayed on the concourse having a drink and then watched a great fight with Trout and then a spectacular sparking and gone home talking about a great event. Now they've been bored out of the arena.
Haymon is at the very least struggling to make this PBC thing work. He may even be on his last legs, who knows. I wonder what he's thinking about whatever genius worked the sequence of fights out tonight.
The fans are too bored to even boo.
Lara is excellent, but he seldom sets the room on fire.
Just watched this on YouTube, Trout did himself proud fighting a much bigger man, glad it was stopped when it was to be honest
Lubin can come back from that, as someone said earlier in the thread, it was one punch, it wasn't as if he got beat up over 12 rounds, the quality of the video that I watched wasn't the best, but it looked like Charlo twatted him on the ear which could be part of the reason why he looked like a dying fly when he was trying to get up.
I haven't bothered with the Lara fight, I had a feeling it'd be a bit of a stinker so I checked on what you lot said before I put it on, I'm glad I didn't waste my time with it
Lubin managed to make Charlo look like Thomas Hearns, Charlo isn’t a big puncher so we must assume Lubin has a glass jaw. Trout actually impressed me but it’s another defeat (4 out of 7) which probably spells the end for him at the top level. Lara was as boring as always not sure why so many people want to see him fight Canelo again, I literally feel asleep during that fight.
Be careful getting yourself caught in a trap of looking at a young fighter, deciding what he is and never allowing for change.
He’s had 3 straight KOs, and a TKO before that. It’s possible that good hard work he’s getting sparring now is making him better.
There’s something that makes me hesitant to get too excited about either Charlo but there is no denying the talent.
Anyone think a more active Trout could have lasted the distance? Hurd is huge. Jermell vs Hurd needs to happen.
That's Lubin kayo was sweet. I think he may have been able to get up.
I really hated seeing Trout being hammered down like that after such a quality start. Unfortunately I think it was a matter of time either way, as simple as the strength of Hurd combined with the inevitable heart of Trout trying to give as good as he took.
Hurd vs Charlo I want to see. Love the way it was basically marketed live and both stepped into it. Still think they put Lara last because the knew he would put the crowd to sleep, far from 'main' event.
Poor Lubin looked like someone tossed a toaster into his bathtub, no way he was getting up there. Literally sparked out ;D
He was up by 8/9. Only about 15 seconds left in the round. Some guys can recover quickly and others wobbling around worse left to continue. Doubt the minute would have been enough tho.
