Especially when the better opportunities are up in weight. He can stay home and make big money fighting the likes of Groves and DeGale

This is gonna be a belter of a fight.
Hearing it's gonna be January 2018 in a London football stadium.
Both fighters are on fire and it's hard to pick a winner.
Is Eubanks relentless output too much and leave GG gassing or does Groves do a Saunders and box clever.
Eubank Seems to have more power at SMW.
Can't wait for this... who you picking?
Can Eubank jr handle a decent bodyshot?
His body is always in perfect condition.
I like Groves and was happy for him when he won the world title...I just feel as though he won't get any better but Jr is on the rise in prime.
Groves is the better boxer and surely has the power...Jr has the combinations and seems to have a better engine.
I will happily pay for this one and both fighters deserve it.
Eubank hopefully will destroy him and with his hand speed advantage and his ability to put punches together he might! Froch isn’t a huge puncher and he took out Groves with a single punch so I’d lean towards Eubank by TKO.
Depends if Eubank can stay fighting fast or Groves sharp right makes him hesitant.
Obvious from the Groves reply that Eubank had the best of him in sparring.. but how much can we play into that.

On paper, Groves must be the favourite in every way..Groves would beat BJS and has so much more experience...is this Groves fight to loose?
@imp no because Eubank is better than him
It won't make a difference, I said that I'll be paying for this one.
The first two ITV PPV fights of this competition were for £10 i was just saying I hope they stick to that price although it's doubtful.
p.s.
what difference does a bill-and-ben make to whether or not I buy a PPV?
well in answer to that question I get paid on Wednesday, I currently have £16 in the bank, so yeah sometimes it can make a pretty big difference
Oh and I enjoy ruining Masters life
George Groves to fight Chris Eubank Jr in Super Series in Manchester
https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cp...635_groves.jpg
George Groves' WBA super-middleweight title defence against Chris Eubank Jr will take place at the Manchester Arena on 17 February.
The champion had wanted their World Boxing Super Series semi-final bout to take place in his native London, at a football stadium.
It will be the first time Groves has boxed at the Manchester Arena since his controversial 2013 loss to Carl Froch.
And it will be the first meeting between Groves and Brighton's Eubank.
Groves beat Jamie Cox in his first title defence, in the Super Series quarter-final at Wembley Arena last month, with Eubank beating Turkey's Avni Yildirim in Germany.
A third Briton, Callum Smith, fights Germany's Jurgen Brahmer in the other semi-final, with a date and location yet to be decided.
The World Boxing Super Series has been hailed as the "Champions League of boxing".
The new event offers a $50m prize fund and a trophy named after Muhammad Ali - and its tournament format aims to deliver a flow of easy-to-follow storylines for fans.
Comosa AG - the company which owns the event - is an amalgamation of firms, with former Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer and European based Sauerland Promotions heavily involved.
It runs two tournaments, one for cruiserweights and one for super-middleweights. Within each, eight men will compete from a quarter-final stage through to an eventual winner being crowned in each weight category.
Along the way, if a fighter meets an opponent who is currently a world champion, that belt will be on the line.

This is the one I'm waiting for..roll on February...both exciting fighters.
Hopefully Groves will knock the useless cunt out.
This fight came to me in a dream. Groves was throwing with mean intentions but couldn't dent Eubank. Eubank just wouldn't go anywhere and Groves wilted. I hope that doesn't happen, but it came to me in a dream.
I can't believe bookies odds are in favour of Eubank.
Degale was meant to wipe the floor with Groves - didn't
Froch was meant to take him out in 5 or 6 - that went to the wire (2nd fight admittedly beaten comprehensively)
Groves is a lot better than most people think, faster and has power - Him, Jack & Degale are probably a class above anyone else right now at 168 - jack's obvs fucked off now to 175.
That being said... people do worry about Groves engine (although fight vs Jack it was pretty damm decent) - but I don't think Eubank has the power to put him away if he does catch him clean a few times later on.
Picking groves by UD
Groves is world champion.
I would have liked to have seen him enjoy the title for awhile longer but Groves is always in for tough fights and doesn't seem to duck anyone.
What a fight this will be!!!
It is a good fight and I would like Groves to win but think Eubank Jnr will win with a late stoppage. Hope I am wrong but fear for George.
100% agree with all of that , and what I would say is while he was comprehensively KO'd in Froch 2, Before the KO I thought he was just starting to get on top and heading towards a win.
Eubank couldn't cope with the most skillful fighter he's faced, and I believe Groves is technically better than BJS and has way more power.
People will say Eubank has improved, and in the last fight, admittedly he looked better.
But he's never gonna cope with Skill and find answers or counter act them because he doesn't really have a trainer . Ronnie Davies isn't allowed to talk, His Dad is many things, but he's not a trainer .
So While Jr. is fantastically conditioned , even the best Boxers need somebody to formulate a gameplan and study opponents.
All Jr has is an ex champ telling him to throw a 60 punch combo "just for the funk of it!"
King George is wonderfully underrated, if the bookies don't agree because of media hype, have it off!
This is a good fight I fancy Jr to win Groves I think has been in to many hard punishing fights and he does seem to gas abit after 8 or so rounds,! I like both fighters should be a cracker I hope.:)
Jr has improved immensely. Groves fights anyone and has always been competitive. I keep switch back and forth between the 2. 50/50 really. Either guy at their best could beat the other. Slightly side with Groves if pushed for a pick.

Groves does seem to rely on his trainer and should start taking credit in himself..he done a fantastic job winning that world title
I think Groves looked and sounded nervous.
When Groves talked about his relationship about his dad that is when Junior got upset. Groves should do that more.
Jab is the key for Groves.
Body language tells me he seems flustered.
Just watched that. That was fun. He's not relying on his trainer. He was banging on about that to highlight to his opponent the importance of a proper training team. Don't be mistaken into thinking Groves doesn't have self belief. trust me, he KNOWS he's got too much for Jr.
As for being nervous as Master said, nah, I don't think so, I think he loved it.
Jr. - "When the going gets tough......"
Groves - "what, you gonna start singing now?" Fuckin priceless! ;D
And when Sr. starts talking, Groves says "I thought you weren't gonna say anything!!" And then pisses himself.
Groves was having a blast in there, and all Jr. could come back with are the same old sound bites , yawn, yawn, yawn.
Then you have Sr. talking about Jr's "Internal navigation system." Another one for the meaningless dictionary.
Groves is gonna win this, 100%
Never seen Jr that talkative/animated at a press conference (and i'm nerdy enough to watch most), he was absolutely oozing respect for Groves (amongst the pre-planned statements), something he's never shown before, and bit several times from Grove's little digs.
I was surprised Groves was significantly bigger, even though it was ones-and-twos vs bumpers. Groves speaking about Jr's basic style not being cute enough to cause him problems was a bloody good point.
Jr has no chance from the outside. And will walk into the hardest/slickest shots he's ever "not" seen trying to impose himself on Groves. Nearly convinced me to change my mind from a Jr win. Hmmm...

The Super Middleweight division, or as Kalle calls it - 76,203 grams ;D;D
Is he off his nut here?

Always off his nut...sniff sniff.
Very entertaining though and is doing a great job with this super series.
I like the guy, but he is a massive cokehead imo.
Disappointed US TV hasn't got behind this. Their loss.
