Fury v Parker went up to 15 quid if you bought it on the night, it was only a tenner if you bought it before hand
I wonder how many sales the fight got.

No interest in Parker or Fury. I still haven’t bothered watching it and I’m sure I could find it for free now. I said Parker by decision (it was predictable) is pay £10 for Wilder or AJ but not Parker or Fury (Tyson included)

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Dont worry yourselves lads, fight ain't happening.
The fat Cuban has failed a drugs test
Cunt

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Cuban can appeal the Vada ruling but November clash with American WBC champ is now on hold
HEAVYWEIGHT contender Luis Ortiz has failed a drug test.
WBC chief Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed that the Cuban had tested positive for a banned substance by Vada.
Ortiz, nicknamed King Kong, had been scheduled to fight American champ Deontay Wilder in Brooklyn, New York, on November 4.
He was also the No 1 contender for Anthony Joshua’s WBA title.
Ortiz can appeal the ban.
He was previously banned for nine months for testing positive for a banned substance in 2014.

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Batman you are right. Ortiz is a cunt for doing this again. Povetkin and now him, Wilder just gets luckier everyday.
-
Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Ah the classic high blood pressure tablets defence. If he's banned that's career over.
Hopefully Wilder (kinda feeling sorry for the fucker now) doesnt get a stiff to knock over. Promote Stivern. Get Whyte in with Breazeale. Sorted.
-
Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Anyone really surprised? Wilder must be one scary dude to get all these guys trying to cheat.
-
Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Well it's hardly surprising that ancient old bastard is on pensioners medicine. Bit harsh...
He's probably been unknowingly gulping down those Desperate Dan supercows too.

Unclench and stop taking everything so seriously otherwise you will get high blood pressure. :)

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
I feel bad for wilder. This fight was really supposed to legitimize him. The povetkin fight was supposed to do the same thing. He just can’t catch a break.

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Dillian Whyte tweets Wilder: No excuses now, I’ll take Ortiz’ place!
It hasn’t taken long for the news of Luis Ortiz’ failed drugs test to reach British heavyweight Dillian Whyte – and Whyte sees opportunity in the demise of the Cuban’s November 4 fight with Deontay Wilder.
Whyte, who has wanted and called out for a shot at Wilder and his WBC crown for some time, took to his twitter account a couple of hours ago, basically writing how Wilder must now face him instead of Ortiz.
“No excuses now, I’ll take Ortiz’ place,” wrote Whyte, adding the words, “Eddie Hearn make this fight now.”
If Wilder is still in the mood to fight on November 4 and if no other opportunity to make use of the work he has put in in training camp arises, then why not Wilder vs. Whyte?
It would not be as big as Wilder against Ortiz, far from it, but as a short notice fight replacement, this one would certainly fit the bill.
Wilder has not boxed since back in February (and he had a seven months layoff due to injury before that bout – a KO win over Gerald Washington) and Whyte, who was pencilled in to fight on the October 28 Anthony Joshua-Kubrat Pulev card in Cardiff, does not have an opponent yet.
With five weeks to go until November 4, Whyte, presumably already in decent shape, would have just enough time to whip himself into world championship calibre shape.
Wilder may or may not express interest in facing Whyte, or anyone else, in November; as it would certainly be understandable if he were so disappointed he found it hard to get sufficiently motivated for anyone other than Ortiz (and Wilder was training to face a southpaw after all).
Wilder was oh, so looking forward to fighting Ortiz, beating him and then, as he put it himself at the official press conference (which Ortiz failed to attend, supposedly due to traffic problems) “getting my respect.”
Will Wilder feel a win over Whyte would get him much of anything? Again though, this fight would be better than no fight. Wilder must be given enough time to assess has options. But he has at least one to look at already.

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Wilder v Whyte is actually a fight i would like to see... I hope Wilder takes the fight.
-
Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Pos Ortiz.
Ban that cunt for life.

I hope Wilder takes the fight, and although I'm not a fan of Wilder, I hope he fucking beats Whyte as well.
In fact I'd go as far as to say Wilder SHOULD take the fight. He's in shape because he's already in camp, Whyte won't be in shape. Wilder will be at home, and in my humble opinion , Whyte ain't all that.
I've said it before, Whyte is gonna be remembered as a valiant loser........but a loser nonetheless.
This will enhance that rep. He'll be able to say, I got beat, but I took it at late notice, if I had a full camp I woulda beat him, blah, blah, fucking blah.
-
Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Personally feel Stiverne and Whyte are about same level. Might as well fulfill the mandatory. Stiverne was training for Brezeale anyway.
-
Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
In all fairness it is perfectly set up to promote AJ v Wilder in the future.
Other than Klit the only person who has gave AJ a fight is Whyte.
Wilder beats the fat Cuban how many casuals take note? Not many
Wilder Ko's Whyte in 2 or 3 rounds (Just for an eg) how many casuals take note? A fucking hell of a lot
I think if Wilder wants money then he should be bending over backwarď to get Whyte in the ring

To be fair what other top contender has AJ fought outside of Wlad? Do casuals even know who Whyte or Ortiz are? Sure if Wilder beats Whyte it gives him some exposure among Brits, beating Ortiz would give him credibility among hardcore fans. Whyte arguably lost to Chisora. Wilder could quite easily do his mandatory, then do a uni with Parker. Bringing 2 belts to the bargaining table for an AJ clash.

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
After the first suspension I'd be careful of even taking cold medicine leading into a fight and Ortiz has really screwed the pooch here, as well as the fans and Showtime. At that age and pattern I'd say that's a wrap on any career at the top. Shouldn't guys be dropped in ranking for sabotaging a fight just like they are for losing a fight? If I was Wilder I'd be pissed enough to demand my spot stay on card and just get Stiverne out of the way. If he wusses out hey give Breazeale a crack. Guarantee he'll at least show up the scrap unlike Stiverne last time he met Wilder.
-
Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Adam Kownacki, Jarrell Miller, Andy Ruiz, Robert Helenius and Alexander Ustinov would all be better opponents than Whyte. Whoever Wilder fights, he beats so I guess it doesn’t matter much but I’d like to see him fight Ruiz so I can compare his performance with Parker’s.

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Supposedly Wilder said he will still fight Ortiz. I’m wondering if it’s just talk since I can’t imagine Ortiz even being allowed to fight.

Yeah, it's all talk. If they said "hey Deontay, you can fight him if you like, but the money will be way less seeing as it won't be a title fight.", I wonder what his answer would be.

Well correct me if I said anything wrong then?

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
There still seems to be some ambiguity about this which I don't get at all. If he's taking a prescription drug for a preexisting condition he should have disclosed it and it be part of a TUE. If he didn't disclose it then he should be banned. As mentioned already, you get pinged once, you make fucking sure of everything. Those special tea bags that you like so much, check it the fuck out..
For me Ortiz is a cheat and an unapologetic one at that. He got banned before, blamed it on horse meat, couldn't be bothered to defend himself. Fast forward a couple of years, he's still cheating, probably never stopped, fucked up his cycle again and now he's playing the blood pressure (but definitely a diuretic to dilute his piss) card.

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
Ban them and charge them with attempted assault with a deadly weapon.

I bet it will be wilder v stivern 2 even tho most people are talking about dillion replacing ortiz

I just have no interest in a second stiverne fight.

Stiverne is the mandatory not because he has done anything amazing since he lost to Wilder but because he has good contacts with the alphabet boys. I would say Don King may have helped but unsure he still has that influence.

He was on the card as obvious next up with Wilder winning and Breazeale not pullin upset. It's what the fans need, to just get it over, but not what the sport needs. King is also the guy who kept Tucker reheated on the shelf longer than most Egg mcmuffins should even be allowed.
I'm still waiting for Wilder to get -1- mega fight win and drop that trinket in the shitter. Fault Ortiz there in fairness

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
So Wilder Stiverne II it is then.
Obviously would have prefered Ortiz but........Good move in binning him. Whichever way you slice it he/his team got it horribly wrong. His career is now over without ever really getting going.

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
What the fuck has Stiverne done to be ranked so highly? He hasn’t fought in nearly two years and has only fought once since losing to Wilder! That was a shitty decision win against Derric Rossy... even Audley Harrison banged out Rossy

Re: Wilder vs Ortiz..is done.
I understand getting the mandatory out of the way, but I’m not 100% sure I’m even going to watch it. It’s basically a joke mandatory.
